That being said it looks as though the quality of the legendary and Epic skin are returning to their previous form that was saw back in Season 7 and have taken a turn for the worse.

Actually the only thing about that BP change that is entirely unacceptable is the restriction of using ACs to buy it. Everything else is manageable and somewhere even good. The only real extreme NO is the requirement to buy only as a separate micro transaction.
If they revert this, I can accept even If they keep everything else.

@@Nessie-0 for 60 dollars over the duration of 3 seasons(around 9 months) of battle pass completions it gives you back enough to get a 24 item collection event. thats the value it offers.
The whole point is all all or nothing approach by them. If you want more, you need to pay. Otherwise keep the less that we have been giving you for 20+ seasons.
Hopefully our next protest is about the anti cheat and new engine and that they actually do something there
Exactly. I was thinking they did this on purpose and gave us a W (that they planned for) this way, people will forget about the cheaters temporarily.
I play around 6 hours a day and mostly in diamond ranked lobbies and i haven't run into a single cheater the whole season. Not just the whole season but all of apex legends.

In most games cheaters will be banned before reaching diamond.

Considering how many children play this game, I am shocked that EA hasn't been sanctioned for allowing minors to gamble.
It's worse than a casino. A casino will give you an opportunity to multiply your money. Apex expects us to spend our hard earned money on only a chance to get the item we want, but everybody forgets that we are merely spending money to "Borrow" this bunch of code from the developers. At the end of the day, the devs could shut down Apex, and then what are we left with? Ain't got no skins even though we "bought" them. Maybe some pictures? Maybe...

Indeed! The cosmetic don't impact the gameplay, but what does impact is the cheating that's really insane and has gone worst. Some normies gonna say they never see cheaters is because they can't even tell apart who is or isn't cheating or they are hardstuck gold players. Most Apex streamers cheat, not the big ones who been playing for years, but smaller ones cheat with soft cheats like trigger bots and wallhacks. Will all the money Apex has generated and so little care being done in quality of life in game the game is going into it's downfall. I hope all the Respawn/EA defenders gonna enjoy playing with half the player base cheating.

I kinda liked the idea of two shorter battle passes. But being forced to use straight cash was an atrocious decision

@@hellbentgaming2778 Most players reach lvl 110 way before the season is done, so I think it's fine time wise. They also say the challenges will help finish it faster, so assuming they aren't lying on that, I see that as a win. You'll get 700 AC extra each season now on top of double materials, and you could just play the first half to have the 350 extra we already have faster if you don't want to complete the second split. I doubt your time investment is going to be much higher than past seasons
The shorter was imaginative tho. They added another 10 BP levels total. It also meant you had to be more invested in the entirety of the apex season to finish them. Meaning less time to play other games. Lord forgive you have a life to balance

Unfortunately, player count drops like this every summer. It will go back up after summer and then back down during the holidays. Then go up after the holidays. Higher ups are very aware of this trend and don't really care. This is all normal, though. I don't know why people think the game is dying. The reality is that even with all the cheaters, people will still play the game and even buy the dumb skins that come out.

It doesn’t have to end here, leakers reported it as a “compromise” so the new system will still have parts that are worse for the player, and this needs to be addressed. Additionally, the gacha events need to leave Apex asap.

The cheaters are a problem but they also only affect like the top .1% of players consistently for the most part. They need to juggle aim assist nerfs and then full time anti cheat. That will heavily increase their player count again bc PC players can compete without roller

I'm still not reinstalling or buying the new battlepass. I actually uninstalled when the first news of battlepass changes broke. Meaning I wasn't able to finish out the level 21 battlepass thereby putting me at 925 AC not 950. Fuck EA. Fuck Respawn.
This was controversy for the sake of gaining brownie points, they reverted it to paint themselves as reasonable and act as if they actually listen to the community feedback, there will still be no changes to the cheating nor anything that addresses the main issues of the game, yall been fooled, they played you all like a damn fiddle

I'm literally not sure it will fix it for me. I have been playing apex virtually dayly since preseason but i havent played for over a week because of the battlepass plans and i found other fun games to play instead and i seem to be missing apex less and less. The same EA /Respawn is still making this game who thought this was a good plan before...
I also am suspicious of them first stating a really bad battlepass on purpose so in case they will "compromise" the community would be happy even though the battlepass price went up for (for example) "only" 50 percent extra instead of 100. Thats a sales trick, it would feel like a discount because its less than the previous price increase, but its still a big price increase compared to the original price.
Big tdm could of been good but its over way too fast, who's idea was it to double the amount of players but only increase the kill cap by 10? Truly an Apex moment 😂

They can just go with the option of buying it for 950 Coins or 4.99... sounds dumb, but knowing how much people value their in game currency, you would give people a choice, which on surface makes the real money version seem cheaper, which will definitely make people spend real money.

The battle pass change may have been the LAST STRAW for a lot of people. It’s a good thing that they are reversing it, but remember, it’s a multi million dollar franchise that just wants to make money. As a community, us apex predators are willing to acknowledge that, but we expect something in reply to our understanding. What is the point of spending money on cool skins if the cheating situation takes away from what we spent money for? Fixing or looking deeper in to this ONE THING is the MAJOR complain people still have about this game. The debate over aim assist and pc movement will always persist in a cross platform game, but the majority of the player base is still pissed off about the cheating! Just find a way of fixing the cheating situation, and you will win back a ton of players, but not all are as forgiving as some

Do people get the feeling that this has all been a ploy? I have a feeling that instead, what they will do is reduce the ACs you get for each season so that you would have to buy top-ups each season in order to gain more revenue rather than players keep on playing for free.

Usually I play at 16:10 1440xidk but today it was so weird and looked like I was playing on 4:3. Any tips to make it the way it was???

Actually fixing the game and listening to the community is not their priority. Even if EVERYONE stops spending money, I dont think they would shift focus to fix the game. They would just milk it until they couldnt. I have no hope for EA and their corporate greed at this point. I have been mentally defeated. Cheaters and skins rule this game. The core gameplay is still good and satisfying which is the only reason there are still players, but people are getting fed up. Can only do that for so long before giving up and moving on.

I hope that they will revert BP to be bought with AC and that if they do keep the spilts there will be 40 levels at most so people wouldn't need to play the game every day to finish it
For me the damage was done after 10 seasons without and evidence of responsibility upgrading the servers so I don't get drop for damage takes 10 minutes after getting behind cover.
I considered coming back because the game itself is unique, but nothing changed, and I dropped the game again within 2 days.
If they cared about the game as much as they do for consuming our money this game would be one of a kind.

The problem is the BP is not the only issue, they have had many problems with the game that have been a continual issue over the past 2 years, and they continue to not even address it. Reverting back on the collection events to a gotcha mechanic, being one of them. They are only listening to the community about this one thing, don't give them credit for changing one aspect when there are bigger issues that they refuse to acknowledge.

I would rather want a BP that works like Fortnite, 100 levels and then Bonus Levels eg 100+50 or 100+80 and unlock
something every 10 levels, 110,120....170,180. It will make the grind fair even if you start late, stars sometimes stack where you play with one legend and get stars for 2 or 3 things. So late starters still have a chance.
Bring back that ppl can use AC.
Most importantly please can they get rid of cheaters and smurfs!

Tbh id like a shorter bp. But for the whole season not for a split. Like i loved the fortnite og bp cause it was so short and i didnt feel like i was gonna run out of time.
Why should we care about it being reverted? It’s not a one time anomaly. They constantly bring these dumb changes that make no sense aside from greed and it takes the whole community to have to say fix this shit before they revert it back. It’s not worth the effort. EA/Respawn clearly have no foresight and that speaks clearly that this game”s trajectory is ultimately downhill in the near future. How many times can you expect the community to standup against dumb changes that should have never occurred in the first place? When there are clear changes that have needed to be made for years like anti cheat and audio

They should keep the 2 battlepasses per season, but have 1 one them we could choose to buy with apex coins. Then if we want the 2nd one then we’d spend the $10. Win for both parties
BP is major driving for playing. It keeps it feel freaking an exciting and like you’re playing towards something. I’m more than a casual player but not remotely a ranked player, so the BP is my progression reward. Paying for the bp twice in a single season is absurd, but making it so I have to keep rebuying them regardless is outrageous. There was always that sense of urgency to finish the bp cause you need to finish it to get all the good stuff and ofc to get the next bp, but the new system would mean keeping that same urgency with no actual incentive for completing it, you’re still paying for the next one. You just lose items.
If you played mobile you’d know how hard that grind was completing those shorter battle passes, mind you they originally were going to make you pay every season for the bp. Outrage ensued, they backpedaled, but it was still very hard to complete.
They actually listened.
