So glad you all at SuperSteer make products for our family owned 1996 P32, that has been in the family since new.. At this point we have almost every suspension upgraded from your catalog our our rig. And, what a handling transformation it has been. Attended Quartzsite this year, on Jan 22nd. Stopped by your booth, and spoke with one of your people. Gave him our feedback and praise for your products, and the suspensions handling transformation. Also thanked him and SiuperSteer for still making parts for these now vintage rigs. Thank you.
Great video, I own a 2002 P32 chassis Safari Trek, which has a number of your upgraded products, some installed by the previous owner, others I have done in my 7+ years of Trek ownership
Awesome Video. There is not really a good detailed videos out there that breaks down the P30/P32 suspension possibilities. I have, what used to be a 90 Fleetwood Pace Arrow, but now I've modified the hell out of it. Remodeled the interior to accommodate for cold climates, Refabricated(if that's even a word) the exterior lower half to accommodate for aluminum diamond plate, fresh paint, in the process of adding some electrical goodies, etc... Now I call it a Beastwood 😃 I do need some maintenance on the my already existing, but dated Super Steer products on the front end and MorRyde Shear spring system on the rear. I think I would like to make a trip out to you guys this summer. Thank you for the video. Great job.
Hey!! Thanks for the comment!! We would love to have you come out and see us! Please keep in mind the Summer is pretty busy so make sure to call at least a month ahead to get a time slot that works for you!
Yes we do! The SS300U is used on coaches with rear disc brakes, and SS301U on coaches with rear drum brakes. For coaches with a tailpipe that exits behind the rear axle, the SS300TP can be used to relocate the exhaust to exit in front of the rear axle.
I bought a 1989 Chevy P 32 and I noticed that the front passenger wheel has a bracket and two large horizontal springs missing compared to the driver side. What would it be called and what is its purpose? I’m thinking it stabilizes the wheel. Why would the bracket be missing but the pivoting bracket that holds the opposite end of the spring is still there.
This sounds like a Steer Safe steering stabilizer, with some parts missing. We would recommend contacting Steer Safe directly - their number is 800-845-5504.
Nice lots of cool products I have the Track Bar and the SumoSprings. Improved side wind stability and sway. Have you looked into evaluation the LML Duramax Hydroboost upgrade? Reads like it's an almost perfect bolt into the P30 and improves braking feel and performance.
Thanks for the comment! We have heard about people doing this and driven a customer's coach with the different Hydroboost installed. Braking did feel better, since we haven't done the install we can't vouch for how simple the install is. Brakes are definitely a weak area on this chassis!
@@SuperSteer GM Genuine Parts 178-1036 just need to remove the firewall plate which it ships with and fabricate a sleeve for the pushrod hole. Would be great if you as professional company could look into how practical this conversion is. The reman parts for the brake boosters are getting rare and difficult to source for the p30. The LML booster is a new part and better.
Have a 2001 (according to VIN) and a 2002 (according to Fleetwood) Fiesta. Just purchased silver safe T Plus stabilizer for the tie rod bar. The vehicle also has the steering damper attached to the pitman arm and frame. What safe t plus damper would i use for a replacement? This is what you called a second steering stabilizer, i believe. And when discussing the bell crank, you mentioned adjusting for play. So is bell crank adjustable and is there a video for this?
@SuperSteer , I called. I'm going to use a Monroe replacement or Bilstein. And bell cranks are sealed. The addition of safetplus has made incredibly better for play in steering, btw
I've got the Super Steer Bell crank pivot and the rear trackbar in my 1990 Winnebago Warrior. It's a world of difference, especially in cross wind but my return to center is still slower than I'd like. Do you have a link to the safety plus system? Maybe the dual setup if possible?
Thanks for the question! The correct part number of cylinder is the 31-140 (supersteerparts.com/products/31-140-safe-t-plus-steering-control-silver.html), and the bracket kit would be the P-30KB13 (supersteerparts.com/products/p-30kb13-safe-t-plus-bracket-kit-for-chevy-and-workhorse-p30-p32-p37-chassis.html). Typically for the dual Safe-T-Plus system we request customers come into our shop if possible, given that fitment can be more challenging. We may have a shop in your area that could do the install though. Feel free to give us a call at 888-898-3281 to discuss further, or email us at sales@supersteerparts.com.
Good question! We match the rating of our front coil springs to the actual weight of the coach. In order to recommend the correct part number and rating of spring, we would need you to get the actual weight of the front axle on your coach. It is best to get the coach weighed in as close to a normal travel configuration as possible (tank levels, passengers, cargo, etc.). Feel free to call us at 888-898-3281 or email sales@supersteerparts.com if you'd like to reach out direct to us. Thanks!
Unfortunately we are out of stock on both the driver and passenger side sensors. We would recommend you contact Precision Sales and Service at (205) 591-2266. Thank you!
We have a 1981 Itasca Motorhome and its chevy P30. Now our rear hub needs new one because it is totally destroyed and we can't find any hub for it. What we gonna do? Appreciate your response
I just purchased a 1987 Coachmen P30 RV and driving it home I noticed a Lot of play in the steering. What would you suggest I do to resolve this? Also, I don't see any comments (and you didn't mention in your video) about solutions for suspension performance for anything earlier than the late 90's. Do you offer anything for older RV's? I would like to fix this RV up to ride better, but also don't want to put more money into it than I paid for it. Note: It does have the "Ride Right" system installed. Can you advise me on what I can do that's not going to break the bank? I don't plan to take this on any cross country trips (though I would like to be able to if the occasion arises), I'll mostly be taking it to local drag strips (towing my race car).
Thanks for your question! We can provide updates on the earlier P30 chassis including yours. The first thing we would recommend is that you have a thorough inspection done on the front steering and suspension components. There are quite a few components which could be loose, so it is difficult to say what exactly you would need without an inspection. Once you take care of anything loose, we do have upgrades available such as our Rear Trac Bar, Koni FSD Shocks, Roadmaster Front Sway Bar, and Safe T Plus Steering Stabilizer. If you'd like, you can email sales@supersteerparts.com for more info, or call 888-898-3281 Monday - Friday between 7 am and 4 pm Pacific time.
Hi Ryan, we specialize in steering and suspension upgrades, so engine/transmission work is not something we typically do. We do not have any videos of this process.
Hi. I have 1997 winnebago on P30 chassis. Driving about 50 to 60 miles/h it start to shake a lot wheel are just balanced but no improvement at all. Any advice ?
Good question! There could be a few factors involved. Have you ever had your coach aligned? Sometimes alignment issues can cause a caster shimmy. I would also recommend checking your front tires and wheels for roundness, as they may be balanced but out of round which will also cause a shake.
It can depend quite a bit on what all needs to be replaced, so an inspection is really needed to give an accurate estimate. If you'd like to give us a call to discuss further you can reach our parts department at 888-898-3281. If you'd like an estimate for parts and labor, you can call 541-479-2882. Thanks!
Game Changing Parts.
You betcha! Thanks for the comment. You rock!

Thank you so much for the feedback, Dennis! We really appreciate customers like you :)
I put your new bell cranks in my 89 Winnebago super chief and it made a world of a difference!
Thanks for the feedback! We love improving the steering on those coaches.

back at ya! :)
Do you guys still sell the track bar for the rear on a Chevy p30?

Have the SS300U on our P32 and it makes a big difference in controllability with side winds.

How do I purchase the front suspension upgrades? My bags have holes and I like your ideas. Thanks, JP
