What he said was that his singing voice was "clean" unlike that of other members, which means that he doesn't use the embellishments like other members do to express emotion. He never portrayed his voice as a flaw or something he's unhappy with. Kookie was the one who thought that and asked Jin if he wanted to improve in that area. But actually, that's a sign of Kookie's immaturity. Jin is always very introspective and realistic about his strengths and ways he can contribute to specific contexts; he doesn't live off the myth that "hard work assures results": he tried to do other things with his voice, it didn't work, so he decided to focus on what he already did well. It's a very healthy and realistic picture of life. I don't think such an intelligent person like Jin would walk around without a clear idea of his strengths.
When audience clap at you like that after a performance, it just means that you really performed well. He not only looks good, but from someone who had no musical background, he is exemplary. i've been thinking about this for weeks. thank you for putting it into words. i have always adored Jin's songs and never knew how to describe how they make me feel. I always associated Tae's songs with hugs and warmth and I knew Jin's was related to comfort but today I can finally say that it's reassurance. It's a pat on the back telling me that it's okay.

I love Awake I catch myself singing it out of nowhere. Awake, Mom, Epiphany, Astronaunt are my favorite songs by him. I could sat and listen to him all day and night. Jin you have a very special gift. So don't stop singing.

I would had never know he didn't have singing experience before BTS. He sings amazingly. I don't have singing experience and I sound like a frog...but Jin has real talent.
As a singer, I really admire Jin's voice. I think he's always had the talent - he just needed technical training. And look at the result! He was given all the tools he needed to make the reach of his voice even bigger, touching people's hearts. Jin has a very unique tone, he has incredible ease in reaching higher notes and his naturally mixed voice makes it even easier for him to belt and sing powerful high notes (that last note at the end of this song was so clean and so well sustained). In addition, he's an amazing emoter - which makes his voice perfect for ballads such as this one. Not to mention, his falsetto is BEAUTIFUL. Jin's voice is made for songs like these, I really would love it if he released a solo mixed tape with slow ballads. I genuinely think that out of all the vocal line, his voice is the most technically powerful. and he was the one that apparently "couldn't" sing, yet his voice is so versatile and can do so many things that other members' voices can't. (I'm not trying to compare, I could write paragraphs about each member's singing as well, just trying to show Jin's reach!)

I would say JK suits BTS recent style of music more. But Jin has a powerful voice and I wish we could have more songs that challenge his vocal ability because he seems to be improving even more now.

It's almost like ARMYs applauded Jin at the end because they knew this isn't the kind of song you scream to. It's the kind of song that comes out as a whisper, a plea. And yet, he sings his heart out. Imagine that? Throwing one of your biggest insecurities into a song and then belt it out with no shame in front of thousands. さいたまスーパーアリーナにて初日参戦で聴きました。
2日目が撮影日だったはずです。
初日はジンくんが歌い出した途端会場が静まり返り歌声と音楽だけが身体中に響き鳥肌たちました。
歌い終わった時、10秒ほどの静寂の後拍手が沸き起こり、BTSとarmyがひとつになった感覚に涙がこぼれました。本当に感動したし、そんな尊い時間をくれたジンくんに感謝しています。
一瞬の静寂の後に拍手が沸き起こったことはその場にいたarmyが皆ジンくんの歌声に魅了され圧倒された証です。気付いたら涙を流しながら拍手をしていました。

I love Awake I catch myself singing it out of nowhere. Awake, Mom, Epiphany, Astronaunt are my favorite songs by him. I could sat and listen to him all day and night. Jin you have a very special gift. So don't stop singing.

As a singer, I really admire Jin's voice. I think he's always had the talent - he just needed technical training. And look at the result! He was given all the tools he needed to make the reach of his voice even bigger, touching people's hearts. Jin has a very unique tone, he has incredible ease in reaching higher notes and his naturally mixed voice makes it even easier for him to belt and sing powerful high notes (that last note at the end of this song was so clean and so well sustained). In addition, he's an amazing emoter - which makes his voice perfect for ballads such as this one. Not to mention, his falsetto is BEAUTIFUL. Jin's voice is made for songs like these, I really would love it if he released a solo mixed tape with slow ballads. I genuinely think that out of all the vocal line, his voice is the most technically powerful. and he was the one that apparently "couldn't" sing, yet his voice is so versatile and can do so many things that other members' voices can't. (I'm not trying to compare, I could write paragraphs about each member's singing as well, just trying to show Jin's reach!)

Jinnie is just as equally talented as the rest. It’s a pity he thinks he isn’t when he wrote this song. I relate to his goofy side the most and I think he is amazing. His solo tracks are my favourite! He knows he need to work harder than the rest if not just as hard but always being underestimated by many people but it’s okay, a lot of us appreciates him. The way he sings is exceptional. I actually got goosebumps from it. He is pretty but he isn’t just a pretty face. 💜
