Guy was triggered that a Korean boyband did MTV Unplugged and was even more triggered when they covered Fix You. He is definitely racist and felt that he can be overt with it due to the dangerous anti Asian sentiment going around. He definitely did NOT watch this performance or was curious enough to know their body of work as any genuine music journalist should. In the age of Google and RUclips, he is the stupid one for not educating himself. Such a shame that something as beautiful as this cover was temporarily tainted by some low life's tantrums. But I know that there is a higher purpose to everything -- BTS becoming big at this point in time, breaking all stereotypes around race, masculinity, Anglo-centrism and all that. It is shining light on how there will be forces who will try to bring them down so we can go back to the way it has been -- the marginalized remaining marginalized. But we will not allow this, it's a new world, so let's just be better people and leave the unconscious bias out the door. While I'm not (yet) an Army, I will always root for this band for the purity and good that they represent.

This was the song of unique harmony combinations. Jin/RM, Suga/Tae, Suga/Jin. I think I have listened to every BTS song and I have never heard any of these combos before. It was wonderful.

Been a fan of Coldplay for almost ten years and a fan of BTS for around three, I just can't believe my two worlds are colliding, they did such a good job, their voices are so beautiful.
This was a bold move for BTS! They could have sing other tracks with rap or catchy beat but instead they sang this!!! Coldplay knows that they will handle it better! And that is very timely and can clearly spread the message of the song through them. So much love and respect for this!!

I try not to be one of "those people," but this came up in my feed today when I needed it. Liam Payne's death has hit me harder than I thought it would. One Direction was the first boy band I was ever in to. I love all of them, but Liam's voice was what first drew me in. I saw bts got subjected to racism and disgusting words because of one cover, and came here to check if it even warranted one comment about unstable vocals or such. And wow. This song is so close to my heart, it came out the same day I lost my grandmother and although it's been a decade, it still hits just the same, I cherish this song and is generally dismissive of any and every cover of this. But wow this. It touched me so much. All the boys are such amazing singers!! I thought some of them only rapped lol. Their vocals, the harmony, it made me feel the same way seeing coldplay perform this live did. They put their heart and soul in this and if they can do this for a cover, I wonder how their own songs sound like. The guy who ends the song gave me goosebumps, his voice is so, so rich. I've been a huge Coldplay fan for 15 years. I was a bit cautious when I read there would be a cover from BTS because usually there's a level of disrespect from any musician's fandom whenever they make a cover, but I've been pleasantly surprised with the amount of kind comments towards Coldplay from BTS fans all over the internet. The band itself did the song justice, even if it's not an easy song to cover. Overall I'm leaving with a very good impression.

That's because a lot of BTS fans, myself included, are also Coldplay's fans. I've been with them since Parachutes and I can say that one of the best days of my life was being in that stadium in Mexico City making my dream of seeing them live come true, while they were filming the A head full of dreams music video... Now watching this cover was so special to me, since Fix you has been a huge part of my life, as Coldplay and BTS too... Im just so happy 💜

Their title songs are mostly pop, but their bsides include hiphop, disco, r&b, edm, ballads, soul etc etc. They’re not the typical bubble gum pop boyband. As a Coldplay fan I have to say that they really put efford and treated the song with respect. Obviously it means a lot to them. I liked them before but now I stan, they're different. Great job!!

As a german ARMY I just feel so angry and offended not only for BTS but fellow ARMYs aswell. Not only was this man's comment racist and absolutely idiotic, but ageist and sexist aswell. He started his statement with "Sorry, dear teenagers, but...". He enforced the stereotype of female teenagers being hysteric and overly emotional, and there being no need to take their concerns seriously. This cover is so wonderfully done and it pains me that to me it has this bitter aftertaste. In the end we should all be able to enjoy music freely, as we want.

I've been an ARMY for 4 years and they continue to amaze me. This performance was such a huge new step in my opinion. The fact that they are not just sought after due to clout, but actually respected as artists by some of the biggest artists in the industry is finally speaking to their talent and potential.
Yeah their music is growing. I'm being their fan for more than 5 years, I can feel the change. But I accept all kind of the music their make because of their quality.
Today's artists don't utilize what abilities they may possess to reinvent themselves for the greater good as BTS. They are selfless; their message is healing. I saw bts got subjected to racism and disgusting words because of one cover, and came here to check if it even warranted one comment about unstable vocals or such. And wow. This song is so close to my heart, it came out the same day I lost my grandmother and although it's been a decade, it still hits just the same, I cherish this song and is generally dismissive of any and every cover of this. But wow this. It touched me so much. All the boys are such amazing singers!! I thought some of them only rapped lol. Their vocals, the harmony, it made me feel the same way seeing coldplay perform this live did. They put their heart and soul in this and if they can do this for a cover, I wonder how their own songs sound like. The guy who ends the song gave me goosebumps, his voice is so, so rich. And the one who sits at the far right, wow. The tenor of his voice is unmatched. I especially love the one with the pink mic. His voice is so...soulful, emotional, I felt chills, it pushed me to tears. Someone please, introduce him to me!! I've been a huge Coldplay fan for 15 years. I was a bit cautious when I read there would be a cover from BTS because usually there's a level of disrespect from any musician's fandom whenever they make a cover, but I've been pleasantly surprised with the amount of kind comments towards Coldplay from BTS fans all over the internet. The band itself did the song justice, even if it's not an easy song to cover. Overall I'm leaving with a very good impression.

That's because a lot of BTS fans, myself included, are also Coldplay's fans. I've been with them since Parachutes and I can say that one of the best days of my life was being in that stadium in Mexico City making my dream of seeing them live come true, while they were filming the A head full of dreams music video... Now watching this cover was so special to me, since Fix you has been a huge part of my life, as Coldplay and BTS too... Im just so happy 💜

Jin absolutely killed it, his tone, his emotion, the way he feels the song with his whole body when he hits those high notes. He deserves all the accolades.
i used to show this to my father because he wasn't into kpop. so when BTS cover english song, i really liked to show it to my parents. But my father passed away 2 years ago. now, whenever i listen to any BTS related video that released before my father gone, i really hope i can go back to that time.
I remember I used to make my father listen to their japanese songs as he was fluent in Japanese... I once saw him listening to their songs by his own... It has been 5 years since my father passed away... I really miss him... I can relate to you might be feeling

I love how restrained they were with this song. They didn't tried to change it into something you can barely recognize, they didn't do unnecessary vocal acrobatics to try to impress with their vocal abilities, they even left guitar rift to play. That is what you call paying respect.

Totally agree with you. I'm an ARMY but I love Coldplay songs they are all so good in their genre, but I don't cry when I listen to it. This cover made me cry listening to it, and I don't usually cry not even when I watch movies. I guess it tells me how good this cover is.

As a german ARMY I just feel so angry and offended not only for BTS but fellow ARMYs aswell. Not only was this man's comment racist and absolutely idiotic, but ageist and sexist aswell. He started his statement with "Sorry, dear teenagers, but...". He enforced the stereotype of female teenagers being hysteric and overly emotional, and there being no need to take their concerns seriously.
This cover is so wonderfully done and it pains me that to me it has this bitter aftertaste. In the end we should all be able to enjoy music freely, as we want.
