What worked for me was clicking on "Universal serial bus devices" and "Apple mobile device USB device" and right click "update driver" thanks for getting me here to help fix my iPhone problem.

you can also update in device manager then choose an iphone ... i solve it using portable devices when iphone was plugged in to computer (only that way you can find portable devices)

Thanks! This helped fixed my issue, the other videos i watched told me to blow out the connection ports and/or change cables... The difference from what i did an what's in your video is that i first tried 'repair' instead of uninstalling and reinstalling. It was a driver issue, so thanks.

You're missing your mobile drives people! Those who didnt have apple iphone devices show up under portable devices you need to check and update your windows with your iphone plugged in, mine was missing and that put it back. Also if you cant see your portable devices right click device manager and then choose show hidden devices.
