@Amber8urmom northern Alaska is in the arctic. I grew up in fairbanks which is just south of the circle. It was routine for Temps to go to -60 for all of January. We had a very active outdoor type of family.
Ever since I saw J.Cs "The Thing" back in 1982, I've been a fan of movies and stories about isolation and the cold. This is the perfect type of story to listen to late at night. Thanx!
Oh lord 2 hours long this is just what I needed right now feeling very much under the weather lately. So S/JUJU I Love your narrative it really makes me ease into sleep ty your doing a great job
Id like to see what would happen if juju and somnium got locked in a room full of musical instruments and audio recording equipment for a day or two. If anything I bet these guys would have a blast geeking out together. I just feel like these two share alot in common based on what is seemingly a perfectionists thumbprint on each of their projects production value. I know somnium is a musician and although i dont have more than personal suspicions, I want to believe juju is too. They are always putting nothing but their absolute best foot forward and it just so happens their exceptional @ what they do. Rizzards of Creepy
Listening to this story as we're preparing for another wicked storm to dump 13" of snow ❄️ on us. It's 0 with a windchill of -18 and will continue to grow worse for the next few days. A typical winter in ND and the Midwest. At least we're not on the eastern coast.
Ohh, North Dakota. I was living in Bismarck during the winter of '18 - '19. Coldest winter, by far I've ever experienced anywhere. But the summer up there, especially the summer nights are beautiful.
Enjoying a balmy 39° in Maine today, but thats after -56 windchill last week. "Polar vortex." I went out hiking with krampons, on mudflats that never freeze. The world was glass. Sheer perfect ice, every surface, evey rock a dome like a stalagmite from frozen waves, building them bigger. All lit by a bright moon above, the air clear as glass itself, every spot of humidity and dust pulled from the air atom by atom. The allure of lethal cold creating the most spectacular beauty. It's a funny paradigm.
This is one of your best, (well narrated )at least for me personally, because my favorite horror survival setting is Antarctica. John Carpenters The Thing. I love the setting, where no one is coming to help. Space/sea/ Antarctic. Cheers my friend. Keep up the good work. You’ve provided hours of entertainment while I do chores, work out, or sculpt my artwork.
I have to b up at 5a.m but I chose to watch another amazing story narrated by scary juju cuz y not he has just down rite amazing content. Thank u scary juju gor the thrill an chill tonite early morning this is assactly what I needed bfr I go to sleep.
Great job, you do pretty good work. I’m grinding materials in the nightfall right now in destiny getting ready for the new expansion on the 27th and your stuff is perfect for that.
After -40 in my part of the world we don't turn off diesel engines and some folks don't turn off gass engines ether and everyone travels with emergency survival kit in they're cars/trucks just in case the engine dies or you get stuck. Theres extremely large areas with no cell reception
Damn straight bro.....a new long story too. Ty Sir Juju, I always am pleased to see ya post these hour plus ones because it means that I'll be heavily investing every second listening and doing whatever I can that doesn't make me not pay attention and chill out relaxing & picturing the stories as it flows. Appreciate ya and all the dedication you always put into it my friend.
This story is some TobiasMalm level stuff..great narration and sound effects..!! You are the goat narrator for Space/Ocean/Millitary and Arctic creepypasta/stories. Thank you for your work JUJU!! 🙏 ☠️ 👽 ☠️
Arctic/Icy/Wintry Horror??? HECK YES!!!! Give me all the stone cold horror🌬️🌨️☃️ It’s one of my Top 5 Favorite Horror tropes!!! • They’re the type of stories that gets me shaking in my boots…not just from the freezing cold atmosphere but from the shear terror that the author conjures up. The characters have to survive the harsh elements, as well as, whatever monstrous creature or paranormal entity that’s lurking 👀 It’s freakin’ Brrrrrrrutal! ❄️🥶 and I LOVE IT! 💙
Mr. JUJU fantastic story truly loved the narration an all the details plus research!! I will say though the ending was meh, what happened to Pascal was... I dunno. It was just an eccentric ending. But EH you didn't write it, no you narrated it an you did a damn find job. Thank you for entertaining me an many others you truly are one of a kind.
Your narration is grand. Then again I listened to Frozen Hell as narrated by an incidental William Shatner mimic so I may not be the strictest, pickiest, or best judge. Either way I believe in the importance of the accessibility of stories via an audio medium and understand the amount of effort that goes into recording such an endeavor. So don't worry about the haters as they are superficial, petty, and capricious.
Hahah it referenced the nerdy water meme via using Dihydrogen Monoxide ; The proper name of H²O or water. Many, including myself, were taught in early physical science classes that the name for it is Hydrogen Dioxide. Which would be HO² which is actually a organic oxygen chemical species called Hydroperoxyl.
The description of the ice people made me flash on Game of Thrones. If only they had valerian steel swords perhaps they would have survived better. Yeah, nevermind.
Why did she say "you're already dead to me" at the end? Better yet could someone just summarize the ending for me, I get what happened to pascal, but where did she go and why did she say that.
I think she owed him for saving her in the helicopter. So that was the hint from the author that CHLOE was the missing thing that ran off, idk if she killed Pascal right then or if she killed him earlier and the woman just woke up now. I guess Chloe was infected, and it was showing when she said they could leave after complaining it was too hot
Not a bad story but the main character could have been a lot more active n likable. He was way too passive for a main character n Chloe was borderline Marry Sue until they needed her to be otherwise.
The main character saved her at the end and she owed him a favor. That’s why she didn’t kill him I think but killed Pascal (I’m assuming cause he found out that she wasn’t human). She’s not one of the original monsters that got out of the hole so I’m guessing she got infected at some point.
@@scaryjuju I see. Thanks for your thoughts. And thank you for all your stories. You’re one of the best narrators I’ve listened to since I got into scary stories 10+ years ago.
I'm assuming she was infected when it had its hand over her mouth? There was a bit near the end talking about viruses and maybe it's because I'm tired and wasn't listening too well but it didnt seem to make much sense. What I dont get is why the monsters tore apart London if he was infected enough that he wasn't even breathing anymore (or at least his breath wasn't frosting) and his blood wasn't freezing.
You broke absolutely every rule of safety and professionalism. You have blood on your hands. Even your attempts to be altruistic were just bizarre and pointless. You risked everyone's lives for some equipment, equipment that was either unstable and dangerous, or stable and could be returned to
i was just wondering is there any brave man scary stories, you know where he fights back at the wobbly knes, saves the chick instead of standing there being a wimp every time I listen it's frozen in fear 😭wa my legs 😣muh I'm scared. grow a spine! bravery is necessary even in a story, it's not believeable there's this many cry baby's,,, every freaking time
Dude literally fights monsters and saves the girl twice in the story. Also isn't this cosmic horror genre? The whole point of the genre is the unknowable grinding away at sanity and the powerlessness of humanity to actually oppose what is out there. If you want big strong men fearlessly fighting generic monsters try fantasy.
I've lived in the arctic nearly 50 years. I grew up just below the circle. You really caught the feel of the sounds and feel of a truly cold place.
I experienced -10 degrees outside and 8 in the bedroom. I to have experienced true cold.
You moved from Antarctica to Alaska?

I do not understand the ending fully. Was she the monster
Yeah
I'm confused as well is Chloe Nicole or am I miss remembering hell maybe I'm losing my mind lol.
No sleep ever again...
Just started this and all I can think of is the dude from the “Last of Us” on HBO. Are you that actor or what?
Perdo Pascal? If not you sound a lot like him. If so you were also bad ass in Game of Thrones and your character never should have died
What is a dollar?16:17
I'm confused. What happened to Chloe? Was she the monster? If so, why did the narrator say she owed him something?

Doesn’t water turn ice only at about -20 c and not 0 c ?
In Celsius; o degrees is defined as the freezing point of water and 100 degrees as the point where it boils, at sea level.
Not a bad story but the main character could have been a lot more active n likable. He was way too passive for a main character n Chloe was borderline Marry Sue until they needed her to be otherwise.
