    Hello Daniel! there's any advice about what to read or what learning path to take in regards to Substance Designer? I mean I don't wan't to relegate myself to just copy a process but rather understand what it's the tought process

      Hello James. Most of what I learned comes from the official Substance channel on RUclips. And I also learned a great deal with the fundamental series of Daniel Thiger. Plus a lot of personal practice and tests.

      @@danieljrgameart Thank you Daniel! hope to see more of your vids and work, they are great! Perhaps a suggestion, I would love to see a breakdown material series made by you.
      PS: I'm really given my best to substance and checking every source I can, thanks for the advices

      Can you be more specific about the breakdown series please?

    • @jjjames4484
      @jjjames4484 4 года назад

      @@danieljrgameart Sure!
      For example the "how to make" vids series focus more on exactly that, the "how to". A breakdown series focuses more on the "why". So for example you can start with an already made material by you (or not) and explain the why on each node, focusing more on the explanation of the decisions made. Of course this it's just a suggestion. Your vids already rock ❤

      Thanks :) It's a good idea. I think I'll do a complete "small" project breakdown. Where I can go through the materials, but also the modeling, the lighting, the rendering.

    When you use custom nodes, I'd appreciate it if you could mention where to get them.
