Great choices on everything in the dining room! I love a mixture of rustic and clean as well so I agree with bringing the corner cupboard back. The side board may be fun to use in the laundry. The wicker chairs are gorgeous!
Simply Earth is a great company and they support ending human trafficking! They donated some wonderful items to our fundraiser recently and were so generous!
This is Lynda. I think your dining room is beautiful. Try a antique long skinny bench maybe with a pillow and throw. You have such a beautiful home and it does take time to put all of it together. Take your time and enjoy the journey.
I do love blackish chairs in your room and I would definitely do a console table under your mirror. Love the beautiful flowers and love the colors of your walls.
I love your thought process! Your house is gorgeous no matter what you do! As you are talking and go thru things you inspire me to think things thru on my space as well. You are truly an inspiration and I love watching your videos.
Your dining room is lovely, Andrea. Another room warm and welcoming. I’m in awe of your styling technique and how you magically pull everything together. Please let me know should you ever decide to move. I’ve got first dibs.😬😉💕💖
The dining room is beautiful, Andrea! The varied textures and soft colors are perfect. I think the corner hutch is a standout, yet allowing ample room on either side of the table for walking by, and serving. A soothing picture on the larger space of wall would certainly add to it all; I would personally stay away from word-type art, although some antique word signs, as you mentioned, may work very well. What a lovely, lovely home you (and your husband) have created !
I think the chairs look really good, they look lived in and it goes very well with the patina of the table. I think you could simply put a urethane on them to keep the look of them. You have a beautiful home! Thank you for sharing this wonderful video!
thank YOU for sharing your home and your honest thoughts with us. I am not super into decor but I love your style and just moved to a 1920s cottage-like house, so your ideas and insights are very helpful in making our house a home and a welcome place for others. I love how God has blessed everyone differently but all of these unique skills help us all in various ways, don't forget the usefulness of what you love ^_^
Where you want to put an antique oil painting bring back the small night stand on that wall the one that used to be where the antique shopping basket is now, leave the vent open for your blessed husband’s joy and I too am glad you brought back the corner cabinet it fits that space well
I absolutely love your dining room! I don't think it needs any more. Less is more. I read in a decorating book recently this phrase, "The fullness of emptiness". Every room needs a little breathing space. However, you are so talented if you add I'm sure it would look nice and be beautiful...
Just commented on an older dining room tour. I should catch up before commenting on older videos. 😊 A thin console table is a fab idea to ground that space and useful when needed. Would love to see a bench under the window. Built in window storage benches are a fav, but we won't go that far. Lol. Always love what you do!
Hi Andrea.... I like that you trust your " Inner Interior Design Compass " .... it's about the " Feng Shui ", as well. If something feels " off " to you, then it's probably unbalanced. I discovered this, not even knowing what Feng Shui was at the time, in 1992 ....and I would move things around and then when I finally felt like " yes, that feels comfortable. that feels right " ... then I would know it worked....; that same year I would discover Feng Shui and that is what I had been doing..... that was my intuitional compass directing my design ideas and choices without " even really knowing it" ( the " why " ) so it makes sense to me ,what you spoke of in regards to you like a certain " balance " of rustic, and not rustic. Lol. So it does mean trusting that ,within yourself. Things look beautiful! I was thinking...that space needs a big, beautiful Mirror to reflect the Dining Table, the natural light . Yes, a " Not too big ( depth wise ) console table with a few drawers , and a shelf underneath ( for baskets/ storage?)....I agree . The one thing I have discovered about wax and I very seldom use it unless it's the gilding wax or the white wax to highlight something ... I don't use the wax anymore , havent for years. ....because I found that you have to go back and do it every couple of months... it will not " stand up to wear " , I don't care what they say. Lol. Anytime I use chalk paint I use a satin sealer over it and that's it and it lasts .
Hi Andrea, I so appreciate your positive attitude and fun style. Since you asked, I love the open space sans console table! Also, have you considered using a chalk paint wash on the chairs? You would have to strip or sand down the chalkboard paint you used in order to see the wood grain, but it may be worth it! They have such a great shape
I like the finish of the chairs that way. It might not have turned out like you wanted, but I like the shabby chic finish of them now. Live with it for a while.
Andrea, the light of the Lord shines brightly through you!! I love everything you pick out and you are so talented at painting you can paint your artwork! God bless you and your family! and God bless all of those that are watching your videos!
I believe if you have leftover planks from the beautiful table your husband made. He could make a console table with 1 shelf underneath. Long and skinny to go the length of the shelves above. Yes, you are right about something missing on that wall. The shelves need a piece of furniture under it to ground them. My 2 cents worth. God bless your family and take the time you need to make your home yours. Good luck.
Andrea, I love that you share your thought process!! Taking your time and trying different ideas truly is the the best way to figure out what you really want without having regrets! The lilacs are the crowning glory!
wow... I am so happy to see the corner cupboard back! I thought it was so perfect for your space. And yes, the fact it is painted made it perfect with the wood table. Its the mix that makes a home look curated over time.
I LOVE that you listen to your own intuition. I too have been living with a few pieces in my house & I decided that I just did not like them in that spot. Moved them to another room & am so much happier. I call it auditioning pieces. Your corner cabinet is wonderful & I so love the wicker chairs. That added the softness & comfort look. The rug looks really good & I just love the lilacs. Thanks for sharing.
So happy to see that corner cabinet back. I think corner cabinets are so unique. I also love the new wicker chairs. Your floral arrangements are beautiful. You just have excellent taste. Thx for sharing.
I think you guys could absolutely DIY a custom console table for that wall, it would be pretty straightforward and you could finish the wood to match some of the other tones in the house. I’m absolutely in love with the wicker chairs, so timeless and beautifully weathered! 💙
Pine hutch is beautiful....lots better than corner hutch NO, to a thin table....you need the room with growing boys, and I LOVE the vent showing...it clarifies, once again, the age and charm of your home...
I love the corner. Upward but miss the hutch.hope you use it somewhere. You have such a beautiful home.I am sure you enjoy just being there and relaxing.
Hi Andrea.. I think that you have the eye of a professional interior designer..in the way you select finishes and items that balance each other and create a cohesive and harmonious space... As usual everything that you do is absolutely beautiful and all your selections for this spaces are absolutely perfect and very beautiful!! Thank you for sharing your home and ideas with us all ..
I love your wicker chairs and how your dining room looks. I like your dining room without anymore furniture in it. It looks perfect the way it is. You did a beautiful job on this room and everything looks cohesive.
Like the corner cabinet and new rug. The wicker chairs are perfect. I've learned through the decades not to rush when decorating, it's best to wait for the perfect thing.
Love! Love! Everything you’ve done! I agree on taking time so that you have no regrets and your space is unique to your heart! It is a lovely dining room! And the corner hutch is amazing!!!!
❤ so pretty. In another video you showed the old barn beams, and I'm wondering if you could stick some table legs on a piece to make a narrow buffet table for that wall. I'm picturing diy pressed flowers in an ornate frame for the other wall, or maybe a willow heart.
Love that you brought back the corner hutch and it is the perfect fit in size and mood. The hutch is beautiful but it seemed awkward. Your instincts are spot on...always listen to your gut!
I love it... looks great. Always remember u can change it anytime. U own both.🤗🥰🙏 I also think a nice thin console table would look great under both shelves in the dining room. Maybe even build one. Exactly they size you would like. Cant wait to see.
I'm in agreement with so many others - I just love your style. It is so warm, relaxing, bright, and simple/uncrowded. You really have developed an eye and intuition for making your home decor and furniture work together BEAUTIFULLY - no matter what you change! I just love the old mixed with the new and the white and wood tones and neutrals and simple but life-like florals and greens. I am the same and you give me a lot of inspiration! Thank you for sharing so much with us! -Tammy
Love the corner cabinet it was made for that space and the chairs and rug are perfect. I agree that a table under the window would complete the look. One like you need will probably be hard to find but your husband could build the perfect piece. Just a thought
Yay! I missed the corner cabinet! The color is perfect and the glass on it… 👌🏻 I know that it is hard to find the thing that speaks to you for a space. You live in your home night and day and want it to feel right and bring you joy and when something is “off” it can drive you crazy! I am the WORST at impulse buys…just trying to fill a space quickly instead of slowing down and enjoying the hunt. 99% of the time I regret those impulse buys. Enjoy the hunt! We will be here whenever you find the things you know are Right. ☺️
I think the pine hutch is perfect with your decor! I would remove the shelves on the back wall, center it there with all your beautiful dishes and seasonal display. The dishes in your corner cupboard are hidden from view, and it looks colonial to me.💜
Andrea, oh my goodness, I just really love your style. I love a well thought out space and how you fill your home with items you just love. Those chairs and rug are all perfect together. A small console table will definitely complete the space. Your home isn't trendy its very classic and your pieces are definitely timeless. Smiles
Andrea, continue playing with your home. That’s wonderful. I love the rug. All the furniture, hutch & corner hutch are all beautiful & they should be where they look right for you & make you happy when you look at it. Those rattan chairs are gorgeous. I love, love, love those flowers. And yes, I agree that a sideboard cabinet, or buffet cabinet would look really nice.
Goodmorning!! Yayyyy the corner cabinet is back! 🤣 Flows much better, fits the space well! Gorgeous home!! I have an old hoosier cabinet in my basement for all my laundry stuff! Looooves it!
Your decor sense is so goood! I do know from my work experience watching residence and retail product staging pros that it's not always bad to have white space here and there for the eye to rest. I'd put something like a hanging wall basket with foliage by the cabinet but you're right - don't rush to fill the blank wall facing the front door. 😍😍😍
Idea for wall that would not block heat register: Find some kind of metal legs that can be painted black, perhaps the legs from an old treadle sewing machine, and use boards across the top for a long and narrow surface. It would repeat the wood tone and the black, be quite minimal, but give you a serving surface for buffets, or decor. Some treadle machines have very simple cast iron bases. Some are ornate. Seek out the simple. It could be customized to the exact size you want.
You are correct...something is needed below the mirror and shelving. As you said, maybe a thin console table would look nice. By the way, the dining room looks very nice.
Good morning! I agree, the corner hutch fits perfectly with your dining space. The other cabinet was competing with the table since they were both natural wood. Now, the table can be the focal point. Love the rug and wicker chairs! I like your idea of a narrow sideboard for underneath the window frame mirror. I have one with drawers on top, then it's open all the way to the floor but also has a bottom shelf for styling. Something like that would allow for heat from your vent. Thanks for sharing an update! It's coming together and yes, it does take time! ❤
I’m obsessed with jute rugs, always have been. There’s just something about their simplicity but texture that I adore. I might check this one out for my dining room also. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous space
Love the corner hutch!! Wish you would bring your grandads piece back and the big wicker basket on the dining room wall Love the purple flowers in the table
I'm jealous! I love your lilacs! My bush is healthy but no flowers this year. I even splurged and bought some at the store, but.....they had no smell. :( Happy summer!
I totally get you!!! 🤗 It’s all about the mix for me as well! Not too much of one thing!! Love that the corner hutch is back! But the other one, don’t get rid of it. Maybe in another space down the line.
Love your dining room! I also think the wall with the window mirror needs something! A custom sized buffet table to match your dining table would be awesome. (A project for your husband). Love the warmth and coziness of your home.
Loved the hutch and what you did with it but that corner cabinet is just so beautiful and brings a special tone to the room! Those wicker chairs remind me so much of my grandmother and her summer cottage, love ❤️’em! She, too, had a great eye for decorating! Actually I think the Windsor chairs look great with their black and brown tones.
Have you ever seen a wooden tobacco basket? I know that’s not as common where you are as it is in KY but I think you might like to check out one for your wall. I love the wicker chairs!
I like the corner cabinet; it looks like it's part of the home (great decision). Maybe place a wicker... bar cart where the vent (previous cabinet) is located, I think that would look nice and wouldn't take-up a lot of space. I do agree with you, it looks empty, you need something in that space. You have a beautiful home-thank you for sharing.
@@stewartnelson1051 Hi Stewart, I don't have a RUclips channel, I enjoy getting decor, gardening tips... from selected RUclips Channels, but Thank you for asking.
I love the corner cupboard, so glad you put it back there! I like how the black on the chairs tie in with your light. Maybe just sand the seats? You are a joy to follow. Thank you for your time. God bless.
Under the mirror, have you considered a long, floating shelf? You can also use pretty corbels on either end. I love to install shelves like they were just narrow console tables. Inexpensive, narrow, open beneath, surface to decorate/serve on - hits all the needs.
Hi Andrea. 🌸 Been following you for years and love how your home has progressed over the years! I would leave the space open for now under the window/shelving/vent. As your kids get bigger, you’ll appreciate more open traffic flow spaces. You could always bring in a thin table at Christmas for your fresh pine, twinkle lights and candles. Hope this helps and thank you for giving us such great content!
Thank you Kim, that would be so pretty at Christmas, and you are right about them growing and getting bigger too, it's already happening too fast for me ❤
That’s amazing a company donates for the good of humanity and not dark agendas, thanks for the coupon code 🤗💕. Girl you look amazing motherhood is good to you ☺️
Shaye Elliot of the " Elliot Homestead" has some lovely paintings on her website. Very moody, deep but earthy and beautiful. I love the flowers she paints and hope to get one of her florals one day. Her You tube channel is so good! You might find a great picture there that suits your space! Your dining room looks so beautiful.
You have such a great eye for decorating. I loved the Hutch but I like the corner piece much more. You have a lot of patience when decorating and I think that is really good. Taking your time, finding the right piece. Beautiful table decor as well!
I love how the corner cabinet looks in the room! It fits so nicely where it is at. I love the hutch as well but I really like the look of the corner cabinet better. Whatever you decide to do, your home will look amazing!! Thank you for sharing your style and cozy home!!
Love the wicker texture with the Windsor chairs, plus it blends well with the corner cabinet color. And yes, I have always felt the wall seems unfinished since you took out your previous sideboard and grandpas dresser.
Great choices on everything in the dining room! I love a mixture of rustic and clean as well so I agree with bringing the corner cupboard back. The side board may be fun to use in the laundry. The wicker chairs are gorgeous!
Thank you so much Kris, that is where it has been moved currently, we will see! 😊
I think a table under the window sounds pretty. It all looks so cozy and comfortable.

The corner cupboard fills up the space so much better than the hutch. Love that you put it back. ❤️
I do love blackish chairs in your room and I would definitely do a console table under your mirror. Love the beautiful flowers and love the colors of your walls.
Much prefer the corner cupboard in your dining room and the wicker chairs look fab! They soften the look, love it 🥰
I love your thought process! Your house is gorgeous no matter what you do! As you are talking and go thru things you inspire me to think things thru on my space as well. You are truly an inspiration and I love watching your videos.
get. The corner cabinet looks great and doesn’t take up the space of the hutch, both physical and eye. Love the look of your dining table.
Your dining room is lovely, Andrea. Another room warm and welcoming. I’m in awe of your styling technique and how you magically pull everything together.
Please let me know should you ever decide to move. I’ve got first dibs.😬😉💕💖

A ratan console table that matches your chairs. So perfect in my opinion

I believe you did a wonderful job designing your dining room. I know you and family will make memories over the dinner table. God’s blessings.
Your home is so beautiful you have such a good eye for decoration it is simple but with good taste .always a pleasure watching you 😊
Andrea, I love that you share your thought process!! Taking your time and trying different ideas truly is the the best way to figure out what you really want without having regrets! The lilacs are the crowning glory!
Your new white bowls on your dining room table look pretty too.🇺🇲🌿
You made a great decision! It's perfect! Love your channel!
wow... I am so happy to see the corner cupboard back! I thought it was so perfect for your space. And yes, the fact it is painted made it perfect with the wood table. Its the mix that makes a home look curated over time.
Love the corner cabinet. 👍👍😉
Thank you so much Cherry, it pays off to be patient and just play with your house sometimes 😊
“Auditioning pieces “ - love that !

I was coming to say the exact same thing. You’ll figure it out. It’s absolutely a process.
It’s beautiful! I love this room!

Thank you so much Andrea! 😊
❤ so pretty.
In another video you showed the old barn beams, and I'm wondering if you could stick some table legs on a piece to make a narrow buffet table for that wall.

Hello.... I am new to you channel!! Love cottage decor. You have a beautiful home!!!👍😊
Love the corner cabinet it was made for that space and the chairs and rug are perfect. I agree that a table under the window would complete the look. One like you need will probably be hard to find but your husband could build the perfect piece. Just a thought
Yes, another mentioned that as well, you are right I am sure he could! Thank you 😊
Yay! I missed the corner cabinet! The color is perfect and the glass on it… 👌🏻

Thank you so much Stephanie 😊😊
Andrea, continue playing with your home. That’s wonderful. I love the rug. All the furniture, hutch & corner hutch are all beautiful & they should be where they look right for you & make you happy when you look at it.
Those rattan chairs are gorgeous. I love, love, love those flowers. And yes, I agree that a sideboard cabinet, or buffet cabinet would look really nice.
I continue to enjoy the way you take your time to collect and layer your beautiful home♥️
Goodmorning!! Yayyyy the corner cabinet is back! 🤣 Flows much better, fits the space well! Gorgeous home!! I have an old hoosier cabinet in my basement for all my laundry stuff! Looooves it!
Thank you so much, yes I love it here so much better! 😊

Yes, I agree and don't want to over do it. I think that is why I want to leave it as is for a while and see if I end up loving it as is, thank you! 😊
I like this idea, thank you so much Brenda 😊
You are correct...something is needed below the mirror and shelving. As you said, maybe a thin console table would look nice. By the way, the dining room looks very nice.
Hurrah, the corner hutch is back. Please don’t get rid of the other hutch, it’s beautiful ❤️
Thank you Hilda, I love it too, it is staying! 😊😊
Love the table and chairs now. And yes, the corner hutch looks better.
Glad corner hutch is back, 👀 looks so pretty! Beautiful home! 🤍🤍🤍 ✅
Thank you Ann 😊😊
I actually love the way the chairs look and your entire home is so beautiful. The corner cupboard and the colour omg so beautiful.❤
I have always loved that corner hutch. It's so perfect in that space.

I have one with drawers on top, then it's open all the way to the floor but also has a bottom shelf for styling. Something like that would allow for heat from your vent. Thanks for sharing an update! It's coming together and yes, it does take time! ❤
Thank you so much Laurie, yes it has taken time but I am loving it all so far 😊
I’m obsessed with jute rugs, always have been. There’s just something about their simplicity but texture that I adore. I might check this one out for my dining room also. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous space
This one is so gorgeous! Here is a link in case you do rstyle.me/+dkziB1CplvoDPZ50Cmj3Kg 😊
Love the corner hutch!! Wish you would bring your grandads piece back and the big wicker basket on the dining room wall
Love the purple flowers in the table
Your changes and additions are lovely! I loved your wicker chairs so glad you brought new ones back. 😍
Thank you, I love these as well! 😊
God bless.
I'm quilty of missing your cornor hutch and especially your wicker chairs also..I'm so happy you bought them back..😍🦋
Under the mirror, have you considered a long, floating shelf?
Girl you look amazing motherhood is good to you ☺️
Thank you so so much, and yes I love this company, I was so excited to learn about them! ☺
So calm and cozy in there now! Looks great! Your big antique breadboard would be beautiful hanging in the dining room! 😉😉
Thank you so much for the suggestion, I will take a look! 😊
Sorry, she photographs not paints.
You have such a great eye for decorating. I loved the Hutch but I like the corner piece much more. You have a lot of patience when decorating and I think that is really good. Taking your time, finding the right piece. Beautiful table decor as well!
Really glad you brought the corner cabinet back, I think it looks best in that space. It's lovely in this room!
I love how the corner cabinet looks in the room! It fits so nicely where it is at. I love the hutch as well but I really like the look of the corner cabinet better. Whatever you decide to do, your home will look amazing!! Thank you for sharing your style and cozy home!!
I love it all! So much fun seeing your space come together! I enjoy doing that in my home as well.
Everything is perfect !!! I just love the colors of your home.
Love the wicker texture with the Windsor chairs, plus it blends well with the corner cabinet color. And yes, I have always felt the wall seems unfinished since you took out your previous sideboard and grandpas dresser.
