    Fraternal greetings. I live in Brazil. I have a Yamaha R-V1105 receiver on my workshop bench. The Yamaha R-V1105 does not turn on when I press the power key: the relay turns on and off immediately. The front display also doesn't light up. Could the companion help me? Giving me repair tips.

      I had an issue where the front panel did not turn on but the actual unit worked fine. In that case the actual panel was broken. This was replace under warranty. But your problem sounds like a power supply issue. Take your multi meter and take a look if you get any voltage from the power supply. Then I would start by looking at capacitor if you have multimeter that can check capacitance of the capacitors. Electrolytic capacitors can dry up and break. Then check diodes etc.. basic steps one by one.

    Hi, where did u bought the chip and why did u changed it? I have a 773 with no power, try with other board from other unit and it worked. Don’t know if that chip could be the issue. Diag mode doesn’t work either, so no more clues

      I bought my chip from aliexpress. I changed it because I did not want the issue to back like on my other video. ruclips.net/video/03_CIBVLh98/видео.html reflowing the chip will only be a temp fix since the chip it self is faulty. No power issue is most likely caused by the power supplie than the DSP chip.

      @@modernfix1 The thing worked inmediatly whith a kown good digital PCB from another 773 that i got, so its not a power suply issue, no more clues...

    Thanks again for this other video. Which model of USB Microscope are you using?

      I have the cheapest USB microscope that I could find. I have meaning to update since my is just 720p and the resolution is really bad. It is very similar to this one amzn.to/3T6tzSG it is a cheap way to get in to repair. For me this has worked for years since my repair is casual hobby.

    Hi, which temperature did you use for the hot air solder station?

    • @modernfix1
      @modernfix1  10 месяцев назад +1

      I used 420 celsius, hotter the air the less time you need to keep it on the board. The PCB will suck a lot of the heat.

      You need to open your device and look on the markings on the chip that will give you the reference what chip you need and the you can google where you can find it.

    the chip is no program?

    • @modernfix1
      @modernfix1  Год назад +2

      depending your device you may need to do firmware update, but the chip it self does not need programming. Firmwares can be downloaded from the manufatures webpage.
