- Lakota West High School, West Chester, Ohio. lakotawestbands.org. This is a tribute to members of the Lakota West Symphonic Winds and their performance at The Midwest Clinic on December 22, 2006. The band was directed by Greg Snyder, Chris Brandenburg and Drews Mitchell. Anthony Marinello assisted in preparation.
In addition to the members of Symphonic Winds, performers included a bell choir consisting of Lakota School District music teachers; an alumni woodwind quintet; and a 22 member brass choir consisting of alumni, teachers, and parents.
The Midwest Clinic is an international band and orchestra conference in Chicago, Illinois attended by more than 15,000 educators, students, musicians, and industry professionals each year. Lakota West previously performed at the conference in 2000.

What a great trip! I was so proud of our kids!
A VERY VERY fine Band. I am immeasurably impressed.
This overture still gives me chills to this day... The solos and fanfare at the end are amazing!
I was part of the LW Midwest performance in 2001 (I think that was the year?) and remember this piece as one of the best we performed. This performance by the 2006 Winds blew me away! Congrats to all!
Thank you OhioBandDad for putting this together.
Congratulations to Lakota West Symphonic Winds for being selected to perform at The Midwest Clinic in December, 2011. This will be the band's third performance at The Midwest Clinic in Chicago! Great job!!!!
Played 1st horn in Winds that concert. Wow time flies
how cool! we don't have something like a highschoolband at school :(
Warren Central High School is performing this. We have a couple months before competition, but we sound like this already. I love your band (:
