Never understood how Blake was wealthy but his children had no money of their own. I've also heard certain celebs publicly state that they will not be leaving their wealth to their children b/c they need to earn it on their own. Your children are an extension of you, so i don't understand how you could leave money to stangers vs your own flesh & blood. I am by far not Carrington/Colby wealthy but my grandparents started with 1 nursing home and then expanded into several nursing homes, ALF's, and then Skilled nursing facilities, physical therapy for seniors daily assistance for the sick and the shut in, meals on wheels by order. The business has become very profitable. I was by far not spoiled, but my parents made it clear to me and my siblings that a money tree does not exist and all that we enjoyed came from education, hard work, and dedication. We were also taught how to manage money, invest properly. My farther explained to us many, many times, that he inherited money, but if he was not taught the value of dollar, how to appreciate money vs spending frivolously, his farther made it clear that upon his death the money and business interest would fall into a trust that limited each sibling to $30k per year and not a penny more.
I can only imagine such beautiful woman in great fur !

I think Sammy Joe was foreshadowing what she was going to do to Krystle when she said to her maybe you should ask yourself that when you’re running around instead of being in bed with your husband. Sammy Jo obviously resented her aunt but I’m glad that they made peace with each other after Krystle was kidnapped and Then helped her to get free.

Sammy Jo had to grow up- I think she learned that lesson after she realized she was wrong in conspiring with Joel Abrigore ( played by George Hamilton) to hold Krystle hostage. She realized she was wrong and then slowly matured from a selfish spoiled-brat into a reasonably sane woman.

This scene is testament to the fact that Krystle and Alexis had nothing but respect for one another. Although they may have been 'enemies' or so for the writer's and sexist storyline's sake, but as such, there was nothing for them to feud about.
Both women were very similar and vulnerable to protecting the Carrington children and the estate. Both their approach to Sammy Jo reveals how protective they are to outsiders feeding off the estate.
..and both wanted Blake. That was the actual root of their conflict
