These things are suprisingly quiet compared to the other super-modified pulling tractors. I never even cover my ears when they pull becasue how quiet they are. The ones that have 4 V8 engines however.. those things are deafening
This is not a jet engine so afterburning is not possible. You need a jet nozzle with afterburning for that. These are helicopter turbines. The hot exhaust from the gas generator turns a power turbine and there is no useful left over thrust.
Still just amazes me every time they don’t end up in a fire ball or exploded into dust, when they light them things it’s crazy!!

One built methanol engine does just as much as three of those and I’m sure it’s cheaper too so where the logic at in this?
Can’t believe they have no screens on the intakes. I guess the effects of a stone sucked in would be dramatic
or basically anything being sucked into the intake if it can fit, really
If it sucks in a spectator, his body parts could scratch the driver.

There Shaft Driven Turbines, so there's gotta be some type of Driveshaft going into the Rear Differential.
They all have a clutch that goes to a box which transfers it to one driveshaft
