Between a full time job, doing cons part time, and making new art for the biz and for myself and trying to have a “life,” it can get anxious and high stress really quickly. I felt like organizing my schedule to fit everything is my means for survival. I always see myself as an artist FIRST and business SECOND. I don’t think those two will ever flip, but i’m totally okay with that. I want to prioritize making better art. With everything going on, i definitely produce less art, but i’ve come to terms with it. Outsourcing a lot of things has def given me some of that time back for my creative flow.

I’ve been doing a lot of research on this process lately but have been so nervous about making actual inquiries (mind you I don’t even have enough art to be in the inquiry stage yet but I’m just an anxious over planner). I defn needed your words of encouragement coming from a place of experience. Also appreciate the advice on limiting social media consumption and being mindful of comparisons. As someone who is guilty of spending hours on my favourite artists’ pages, this reminder is much needed lol. Looking forward to seeing your next vlog and maybe even your new art space :).

I'm moving also (well I'm actually living in hotels while I wait to move into my new place). Moving has truly been one of the least pleasant and most stressful things imaginable. Meanwhile, all of my stuff is in two storage units which I have to empty out eventually (preferably when it's not 100F with humidity that feels like breaking underwater...the fun just never stops!).

Do people ever get mad at you for selling your pokemon fan art? I swear everytime i post anything pokemon or nintendo I get like 20 comments about how "you cant do that these characters are copyright righted" "nintendo is going to take these down" yada yada. I do say that its fan art and you know, that whole thing. Like yes im obviously not nintendo, not am i trying to trick you that i am wtf...
I didn’t hear any of the advice. I realize you are the one moving and you’ll be careful with boxes. But to not use any kind of protection when packing is insane. FedEx offers free shipping supplies like reusable padded packs that can be used to at least line your boxes to give it a little bit of padding so if it does take a fall or something it at least has something to try and protect it.
