- This is Round 5 of the Round Table Conference, a tournament featuring 16 decks from the 13th main booster of the Digimon Card Game: VS Royal Knights. The next two decks to clash are Alphamon and Jesmon. The Black Alphamon deck, once impaired by the restriction of its Lv.5 DoruGreymon, returns with comparable support to make up for it. With a combination of Memory manipulation and defensive strategies that slow down the opponent's field, it is a deck that stands firm until the opponent is brought down. On the other hand, the BT13 support received by the Red Jesmon focuses largely on engine efficiency, allowing them to perform their massive GX plays for less cost or build up more Sisters on their field while evolving up to Jes. Ultimately, this increases their consistency in achieving their endgame - bringing down the opponent with a swarm of powerful attacks. In this matchup between the oldest and youngest of the Knights, who will prevail?

I'm quite convinced that if the other side had gone first, the match would have gone the other way. Often, that's what it boils down to in a match between these 2 decks. The new Jes support helps to eliminate one of its key weaknesses from BT-10 - having to relinquish a lot of Memory to the opponent whenever they make a GX play, which can invite counterplays if the opponent took the initiative. Now, it's possible for them to play GX without conceding excessive Memory, sometimes even Memory choking the opponent or going into GX without ending their turn. Unfortunately, the Alphamon deck can play around that with its absurd degree of Memory manipulation, creating wins out of almost hopeless situations. But of course, Alphamon is definitely more consistent as it is less piece-reliant, though it definitely took luck to grab the limited DoruGreymon off the top of the deck so early. I wonder how the match would have turned out without it.

Fun fact: both decks used to be otk decks before their ultimate level digimon was limited to one, killing them in the meta before the new support came out. Also nice rust using the gain memory ability from oryuken to reference alphamons whole "reset a fight repeatedly until you win" power.

I honestly am curious about Alphamon vs. Magnamon X, lore-wise. Alphamon resets time until he wins, Magnamon X causes miracles to make himself win.

Ah, yes, the absolute glory of Alphamon, crushing the newcomer...yes...I love it.
And this match is my usual one at my locals. My friend is an avid Jesmon player. And I am a fervent Alphamon player. So this match up brings a smile to my heart!

As a player of both decks, I knew this would be a personal win and loss at the same time. Sad that all just happened so fast, and we could not see the new huckmon line true potential. But at the same time, I'm glad we got to see Alphamon estabilishing presence in the field even without Cool Boy's help. The new Dorugreymon + multiple copies of BT7 Dorumon came out so clutch in this match. Nice video!
And Alphamon shows who really got the best support in bt13. My little brother will love this.
Oh man, as a die hard Jesmon player, I was sad to see it lose, was really hoping to see it pop off, but this match had me on the edge of my seat still.

New alphamon was surprisingly good support for the deck not only the can stun digimon with 10 cost or more to attack security but also have prevent removel effect for some deck it's really annoying. Good thinking jessmon have perching and blitz so it's still count as security check. Probably if jessmon can set-up more fast than alphamon he can win the match. The 2 stronger royal knight deck on meta. Really awesome match.
This is by far the shortest match. But the most dangerous matchup of all time. With alphamon manipulating the time line and jesmon going aggro, they Both lived up their Royal knight title compare to the other royal knights.
Well now i understand why dorugreymon is limited to 1, this alphamon it’s pretty amazing, even getting memory choked isn’t enough.

As always, a great match. One of my favorite videos you made is the exhibition match between Alphamon & DeathXmon, I've watched that video countless times, and watching your videos now I can see how you've improved. I also love the titles you put for the boss monsters too.
A recommendation if you don't mind: put the names of the OST you use in the description. I know that you use mostly OSTs from the Digimon games, but sometimes you can find people who haven't played the games (yet) and wanted to listen that songs while doing anything else (I usually listen to Mugendramon theme from Next Order while at the gym, and the final boss theme from the same game is something that helps me to get motivated while at work or if I feel depressed)

This video truly shows the absurd amount of memorey controp this 2 decks have now. I personally would have played craniumon with gx but i understand u played gankoo for the theme of the deck

That BT13 dorugreymon end of turn combo can make so many plays. A worthy replacement for the old dorugrey.
I thought jesmon would counter alphamon since sistermon's have low play cost and could get around BT13 alphamon but the deck is too good.
If decoy Sistermon doesn’t get deleted things look very different.

Interesting match, I still debate between playing new DORUGrey or Grademon, I know DP protection is useful and the access to DeathX evolution, but Grademon's search for Alphamon is also convenient.
Out of curiosity, where in the lore is Alphamon stated as the former leader of the Royal Knights? I've heard that a lot, but now that I think about it, I can't find the source of that.

Can’t you only do end of turn effects one time? So the doruGreymon would both activate, but then alpha ouryuken wouldn’t be able to in the same turn?
Nope, you can hit [End of Your Turn] timing multiple times within your turn if you recover Memory. You just can't trigger those that are (Once per turn) multiple times

I would have done something differently with Jesmon's deck list. Add 3 copies of Sistermon Noir/Ciel BT10.
Alphamon showing again that the Dorugrey hit doesn't matter since they immediately find/have it anyways haha. The 4 mem gain dorumon were also nasty but it was a very nice match, showing off what both of the decks strength are. Poor Jesmon, but at least they can play a normal ratio of lvl 5's now
If you don't mind me asking, are you using tabletop simulator for this? I want to try out decks before deciding whether I should buy them or not.

You said Jesmon absorved Gankoomon's soul, but actually, in lore, it was Gankoomon that gave up all of his X-Antibody power to Jesmon X and THAT made Jesmon X become GX.
Thats just me describing what happens in the match based on the card effects, im not trying to overwrite the lore - I know what happens in the lore

8:30 wouldn’t only one of the dorugreymon inheritable activate since after dorumon enter the soul it gains a memory which means it’s no longer end of turn?
Nope, the activation timing was already met so the 2nd one can still go off as it is already pending
Wouldn't matter. Because the turn was restored. Then, Ouryken was played. Once more, End of the turn, which means, the 2nd copy would activate regardless even if it worked that way.
In the end, Jessmon was doomed that turn, no matter what.

Ok I have some ruling questions here with the new Alpha plays.
5:40 How does Ouryuken still have the effect of bt13 alpha I was told it dose not transfer the effect over to ouryuken. you would have to keep bt13 Alpha on field for that
8:40 How does the new Dorugrey trigger twice? it says once per turn.

With DoruGrey that's very simple to explain as there were two BT13 DoruGreys underneath Alphamon, and while it is true that its inheritable effect is a once per turn effect, it mainly applies for a single card. BT7 Dorumon works in a similar capacity with its inheritable effect the more you have underneath. As for that play with Jesmon not being able to attack players, I believe BT13 Alphamon's when digivolving effect is still carried over even after evolving into Ouryuken as the condition set by that when digivolving effect lasts until the end of the opponent's turn.

@Gempur To be more specific, Alpha's effect wasn't carried over to Ouryuken. Alpha's [On Evolve] affects the field, so he doesn't need to stay on the board for it to continue until its time limit (end of opponent's turn)

You can't if Sleep Mode has its [On Play/Evolve] immunity set up

2 sides just didnt hold back and dropping their lv 7 immediately. Jesmon is my 2nd fav RK (Ulforce is my 1st) and I know Jesmon wont win this one. Even so this match is the best so far.
Would best if he used omegamon blitz unsuspend for jesmon gx
You can't, GX only lets you put an RK of Play Cost 13 or less

BT13 Craniamon would make GX immune to opposing Digimon effects for 1 turn. But Alpha could always draw the game out with Kongou and still win in the end
