I think they should do a bonus episode showing how Max teaches a actual class. In my opinion, that was a missed opportunity. I think they should tell the story of Safi's past in a sequel. Safi or Maya Okada should then be playable. Similar to what they did with Chloe and Rachel. That way they can not only give Safi more characterization, but also show the inner workings of the Abraxas organization, which we hardly saw anything of in "Double Exposure". Then there is the story surrounding the police officer whose story is somehow unfinished. They have enough plot points. I think they shouldn't extend superpowers to an entire cast, otherwise the feeling of mystery is lost. But I think it would be possible to give one antagonist superpowers per game. Then you wouldn't just have to reveal which power the antagonist has, but also who has it and what his/her goals are. My only fear is that they'll somehow bring Chloe back using some kind of superpower, thereby undoing the "weight" of decisions made in the older games. "Double Exposure" was a solid 7,2 for me. First 3 Chapters 8/10 and two last chapters were 6/10.
Sorry to say this But Square Enix was Banking on Max Bring in a Rerolling Bank cash flow of Money to LiS Game just like LiS1 did for LiS DE. They forgot Decknine isn't Don't Nod.
True Colors was 10 dollars more expensive, the base game. And Steam userbase has grown a lot since TC. So if DE just slightly overperformed TC on launch, it's nothing to cheer about. The sales dropped incredibly fast after launch, the bad word of mouth, the split fanbase, mixed reviews, gaming media articles about SE's alleged abuse of DMCA... yeah no, no legs with this one. Just look at Steam's concurrent players for DE, it hasn't broken 1k in two weeks. Just for comparison, it took the OG LiS three years to drop below that. And when you compare the concurrent player counts with DE & LiS, they're nearly the same. On many occasions, OG lis even beat DE's concurrent player count, meaning more people were playing the original instead of DE. Famitsu released the physical copies sold in Japan, and Double Exposure sold 2000 copies on launch. In Japan. No way it has sold 500k combined.
Tbh, I hope it flops so Square Enix prossibly drops the series. Clearly DeckNine just doesn’t get what Lis is about and have no imagination. The DON’T NOD Lis games are top tier.
This feels like a very black and white take tbh. The DONTNOD games did have a lot of issues too, and DeckNine has shown that they do understand Life is Strange (I thought the first 2 episodes of DE were pretty well done). They just didn’t really stick the landing with this one and it felt rushed. I don’t hope that they drop the series because ending it like that would be a damn shame, but I do hope they take some of the feedback to heart
@@leeb.3095 I agree. It isn't that black and white. The original Life is Strange was great, but I thought Life is Strange 2 was a boring slog of a game that was unrealistic beyond just the powers thing and featured a ridiculously over-the-top portrayal of racism. Personally, I liked every episode Double Exposure. Were there elements I thought could've been handled better? Sure. But overall, it's an 8 out of 10 for me. I'm on board with the direction Deck Nine is taking the franchise, so it would be a shame if the whole thing were upended due to low sales numbers.
@@InJeffableLiS2’s portrayal of racism was a bit on the nose, but how else would they have portrayed it without feeling way too subtle that it would feel cagey?
It’s called constructive criticism. We want Square Enix and Deck Nine to make great Life is Strange games, but they’re not going to do that without fair criticism
We need Chloe back! Life is Strange isn’t about super powers or heroes. The franchise is about relationships and how they deal with extraordinary circumstances. The super powers are just extra to move the plot along. Max & Chloe, Sean & Daniel, and Alex & Gabe.
This thing doesn't have legs; they pissed off too many of the customers who love the first game.

They're gonna pivot to Chloe. Big time.
They should yet I doubt it as these outfits can only screw up. Even if they did, they would mess up Chloe.
And then use the before the storm actress
@@babyspoot Oh, well.

A part of me actually wants it to fail so that square switches developers

Either that or they find another developer

It was poorly written. I wish I didn’t buy it
The sad truth. Although i did enjoy chapters 1-3, chapters 4 and 5 not so much
You still have a super cute version of Max. it’s worth it.
hi Podcast Now
Y’all r giving them a really hard time and for what.. the story wasn’t amazing, but it was nowhere near bad.. I enjoyed it a lot tbh.
I hated the story so bad that I uninstalled the moment it finishes.
the game is trash 🗑️
