I just found you. I've only been smoking a pipe for 2-1/2 months, and I love the Country squire blends! I'm a pastor and am also in Texas! I appreciate what you shared. Sorry to see you haven't posted anything since last year. I'd love to speak with you, as I don't know anyone else who smokes a pipe.
I recently bought Tombigbee after hearing about Old Toby, and the name change also. Currently it’s my daily smoke. I try other tobaccos, and enjoy variety, but Tombigbee qualifies to be primary blend.
Thank you I too been looking for old Toby after watching a few reviews. I heard its best if you pull out a small amount and let dry a bit overnight it will smoke better and less tongue bit.
The batch I got was super wet. It definitely requires dry time. I enjoy tombigbee but my favorite blend that I've tried from The Country Squire is Hunting Creek which is an aromatic English blend. I highly recommend it.
