Landscape was enjoyable with all the working and could imagine the tents and poineers , Glad your diggings showed more yellowish than grey and keep warm with every adventure in the bush
It was a very nice area, the diggings and creek made for a very nice back drop. It would have been tough times, but to see the area during the gold rush days would have been quite the sight. Cheers Ben and thanks for watching.
Not too bad Pete. Yep the excitement came through 😁
Great to se you getting some 👏
Thanks Lyndon, it was a nice day for a swing and to come away with a nice little bit was great. Cheers 👍
Well done Pete stay safe mate.
Cheers mate, thanks for watching.
Good looking spot there Pete. I like the colour differences of the nugget to your ring. So bright and yellow. I'd love to have a go at digging my own loaming hole one day, but I reckon I would take a year to dig one as deep as the old timers did.
Thanks for sharing your adventures Pete 🌄. Cheers
Congrats Pete, almost a gram. Great day in the bush. Well done
Thanks Sam, almost got there, just needed one more small one, but I'm very happy with the result. Cheers
Well done Pete.1.02 that is awesome 👌👍
Thanks Shannon, bit too much mate, although I'd like it to have cracked the gram, but not this time. Cheers mate
Well done Pete the landscape is stunning and that 0.8 bit was so bright! What a fantastic Sunday afternoon nearly cracked the gram great result 👍
Another nice day out and another chunky bit Cheers Pete
I'm liking these chunky bits, I could used to them. Cheers mate
Great nug Pete 🎉 Beautiful. Jeez that river clay and rocks looked nice 😮
Thanks mate, some of the ground looks fantastic, It would have been a rich area back in the day. Records say a 100 ouncer came out of there. Cheers
Nice hunt brother!
Cheers mate, thanks for stopping by.
Well done legend, good for a few hours. That .8 piece was a stunner👌. Cheers mate.
Thanks Lee, great day out mate, had a good time. I thought it was going over, but it looked a little small, looks like a .8g can invert, great sound to hear. Cheers mate
@@PetesGoldAdventures nice mate, it would be good to pluck those all day long hey!
@@SavageProspecting for sure, but its more like the other 3 I got 😂
@@PetesGoldAdventures 🤣
Great to be out with a mate to share the experience. Gold is just a bonus and what a nice bonus you got. That big chunk is a nice bit. Shame it didn’t crack the 1 gram but it was close. Well done mate 😁👍👍
It was great to get out with Andrew H, he's an old high school buddy and also my oldest prospecting buddy and it had been awhile. So it was a great day all round and topped off with a nice little nugget. Cheers mate 👍
Nice Pete, you definitely were on the gold that day and that .8 piece is awesome man,I guessed 1.1 grammer but you nailed the weight on those pieces of gold for sure. Thanks Pete, great job buddy.
Thanks Morgan, it was a great day, I wish it went 1.1g but not this time, I'm still more than happy. The Pies are on right now, I hope you have it on to be able to watch it. Go Pies!!! Cheers mate
@@PetesGoldAdventures I missed the Pies match because it was on at 2:30am and I was asleep at that time, hope they won....Go Pies!!!!
Good going mate, my only grammer with the 6000 was also inverted, so I definitely will dig every one.
Thanks Aaron, it's a great sound, with the 4500 you knew you were on a good thing, but the 6 it's a little smaller, all good though. Cheers
Great day out and the .8 looks beautiful well done .
Thanks Glenno, it was a nice bright nugget, that's for sure. Have a great weekend with the Crouch. Cheers
Not a bad day, love the .8 chunky nugget!
It was a good day out. Thanks for watching mate. Cheers 👍
Thanks for sharing another great adventure Pete. Another great day on the detector by anybody's standards. Keep up the great work and see you on the next one. Cheers mate 👍👍👍👌👌👌👌🤜🤛
No worries mate, the 6000 does spoil you, there a great machine and if the gold is there, they are all over it. Cheers mate
Fantastic day out Pete! That .8 is a spectacular bit! We are all happy little Vegemite’s after watching this one. No foot deep lead live digs this week.. thanks for sharing buddy 👍👍
It sure was James, It's a nice shiney one, so how couldn't you be a happy little vegemite kid, good times. No deep lead digs to trick me this week, there no good. Cheers mate
Nice mate. Well done
Thanks Chappy, I hope you have those reno's completed and getting back out on the gold. Cheers mate
Good work mate
Thanks Antony, I hope your doing well mate. Cheers
Great video again Peter 👏 amazing content from meteorite mac channel Derbyshire
Thanks Colin, I'm glad you enjoyed it mate. Cheers
Pete you really need to rake the sticks & leaves off the mullock heaps to properly prospect them, trust me
If I get gold off them I do, you might have seen it all piled into the middle of the hole when I went to the ant bed. I did rake an area around a tree that covered the mullock, but no gold to be found. Cheers mate
I had a stab at .7, so im afraid I failed at my weight recognition abilities! Ill probably be disbanded now. A nice sized nugget, a good day, maker. Yep, the suns goes down way to early for my liking, thats if i ever get to see it! One more nugget would have hit the mark, a bit of extra daylight would have got you there! Cheers Pete, and thanks for the outing!
It's always great to be proved wrong, especially when your under, in this case bigger is better. By the sound I thought might be bigger, but the size had me around the .8, maybe .9 if I was lucky. There was a lot more ground to run over, I knew I would have needed one more, but it was not to be, anyway it was a great day out. Cheers mate
👍, I called it for a .95, but then peeked at the comments.
I got a .8 round bit at six to eight inches that was invented as well a few weeks ago. Got one the other day that was just just audible then inverted then started screaming. Posted on my channel, im not a very good film maker though, but i had to tape this one. Cheers Craig ⛏️
Solid, but not that solid. Its a great sound and after the other week I thought it might get up there, but just not big enough. I'll check it out mate, love a good inverted signal. Cheers
Awesome machines mate. A gram is a gram mate nice😊
For sure Grant, the 6000 is amazing, makes for a great day out. Cheers mate
Nice Pete, that's an awesome piece, maybe the length is making it inverted?
Cheers 🍻
Thanks Brothers, really nice looking area, I'll head back one day and try some more. It could have been the length, it was solid, great sound to hear. Cheers
Well there ya go Pete so close to a grammar
Looks a good spot sort of familiar ?? Or not lol
Well done worth the day out yeehaarrr
Cheers 🍻

@thesurfingprospector6345 Almost got there mate, it was a nice one. It was out that way where you were, you might have gone there, did you go to a place with heaps of red ribbons in the trees? Not a bad place, but the gold was a little hard to come by. Hope you had a good time with Glenno. Cheers Pete 👍
@@PetesGoldAdventuresno can’t say we did
Yea all arranged and a how to do list for you all
To follow
Cheers 🍻
Nice piece Pete - I was hoping it would have nudged a gram. Not far off
It almost got there, I'll have to revise my inverting threshold down to .8g by the looks, or maybe just because it's solid, I'll have to find another to check LOL. Cheers Guy
Gonna go a gram Id say! Anyway, its a beauty!
I was a nice one, just didn't have the size, still more than happy though.
Can't complain about that.
Not at all mate, it was a great day out, I'm really enjoying the 6000, it's doing a fantastic job. Cheers
@@PetesGoldAdventures I'd definitely throw some money at a detector if I could get out a bit more.
@@MurrayRiversGoldAdventures You have to have the time I guess, but with gold prices, they will soon pay for themselves, one great thing about our hobby.
Cracking day mate, and looking forward to the next subs weekend out.
Thanks Gary, it was a good day out. Yeah mate, it's in the planning stage, I'll have to get a video out soon. Cheers mate
Nice Pete you just never know so dig it - well done again - not been out lately due to freakin eye surgery - cheers Mark
Thanks Mark, it was a good day out, bit slow in the arvo, but you get that. Get over the eye mate and head bush, you'll need a gold fix. Cheers
Thank Pete I'm lurching at the bit & watching too many detecting vids lol 👁️⚒️
@@melbournesubtropicfruits9474 At least you can get your gold fix through us for now.
That's a terrible outcome for the day, Pete.
Listen, I'll do you a solid and you can mail that upsetting gold to me so you don't have to think about it anymore. Lol
It's not stressing me too much, I'll been fine and might aswell keep it, nice try mate. Cheers, catch ya at Slaty on the 27th.
@@PetesGoldAdventures if you insist. Yeah, definitely mate. It will be good to meet all of the guys like yourself that have been teaching me and or entertaining me with their escapades into the bush.
Great vistas, Pete, each hole roughly ten feet from the next digger, you can barely imagine the commotion, and whether there were any authorities keeping order, you weren't supposed to camp where the digging was, you'd need a chum to protect your patch while you went for the water and provisions. You'd wonder how long that ground was worked before the lot went off on the next big finds district, the shallow workings look maybe of a Chinese diggings, do you think? Another question is whether you're adjusting the sensitivity to account for the moisture causing reactivity in ground noise in the higher mineralisation, or does more frequent ground balancing help overcome that? Anyhow, good luck!
It would have been a busy place during the gold rush days, quite lawless I'd imagine. I didn't research the area to find the age, it would have been pretty early on. I had to turn the 6000 down a little and ground balance often to keep it running smooth, it's a bit more work in those conditions. Cheers mate
Nice bit of Gold Pete, my guess is 1.05 grams.
I like your guess, but not this time, it was solid, but just didn't have the size, nice piece though. Cheers
Hey Pete, did you wire in a diode to your 12 volt dimmer for the water pumps?
Mine is a votage controller from Jaycar, cost about 40 bucks and dosen't miss a beat. Cheers mate
@@PetesGoldAdventures That's the one I am referring to, Andy pointed out that the instructions suggest adding a diode, I checked and it was on the instructions, A IN5040 diode will help stop it burning out, I had no idea until Andy mentioned it, just sharing, cheers.
@dataglasses right o, never saw that, but I've had no issues and it's had a fair bit of use. I'll see what happens I guess. Cheers mate, thanks for letting me know.
@@PetesGoldAdventures Andy seems to have burnt out a few, I guess that's why he mentioned it, so far so good with mine as well
A great day by anybody’s standard.
That's it Daza, almost cracking a gram seems to be a good day out these days, good times. Cheers mate
RAIN ? - what day did it rain ?
It rained all Saturday in Central Vic mate, although not much of it would have made it to the creeks around here. Cheers mate
@@PetesGoldAdventures Just enough to fill the potholes on the tracks leading in I guess
@@mohammednovalija That's about it mate, just enough to get your car dirty.
.94
That would have been nice, it sounded like a gram, but the scales don't lie, solid .8g. Cheers mate
.08g
That's it mate, spot on, it's a nice little nugget. Cheers
