I'm not sure of the exact year, but I think it was 1983 that I saw Steel Pulse, The Twinkle Brothers, and Oingo Boingo at the Bronco Bowl in Dallas, Texas. Steel Pulse was the main act, and they did not disappoint! They were part of one of the best summers of my life! Forty years later and I'm still felling ire.

look at the 60s and 70s then check the 80s, like Lee Perry, he was a beast, and the English reggae started much later with great sound like Steel Pulse, but they learn from the masters

Grizzly was great, but he wasn't better than Sly Dunbar. And that's not even an "opinion", Sly Dunbar was the greatest drummer Reggae had to offer (and still is!). If anyone came close, it's because they studied Sly.
