Y'all have no idea how stoked I get watching your adventures! I know others have said it, but mate make sure to be wearing polarized sunglasses when out on the water. It makes a huge difference in being able to "see through" the water. It really makes a huge difference. Love y'all, experiencing everything vicariously thru your lens is so awesome.🤙
Just a suggestion when putting your boat on the trailer off the beach put your towing vehicle out of gear then winch the trailer under the boat if the beach is soft take the trailer of the towing vehicle winch the trailer under the boat attach a rope to the trailer and pull it out with a rope being careful not to bend the jockey wheel. Cheers😎
hey skipper, you guys have to wear polaroid sun glasses please!!... it does help a lot on these tricky conditions, and indeed you have now learned that you have to time your launching and retrieving with the local tides and conditions.... lovely videos, thank you guys, appreciated....and as for skip jack cooking, hot smokedr on oak shavings with olive oil and lemon.... makes an excellent cold dish once rested, best to be served with pickles and fresh salad!!!... paired to a cheeky South African ( or Aussie) cold Chardonnay or Viognier, it is a fabulous dish!!...cheers and thank you! Regards from Still Bay , South Africa.
Another enjoyable episode. Thanks! As for your tinny leak get yourself some aluminium metal mend putty. Find the cracks. Give em a sand and knead then fill with the putty. Smooth it out with a wet finger. Leave it a bit proud of the surrounding area too. Works well. 👌
Get yourselves some polarised sunglasses if you're going to be fishing/boating they cut the glare so you can see into the water, would've saved you's in that scenario
In those boating situations a pair of polarized sunglasses helps alot to see the rocks and obstacles, it reduces the glare and reflections on the water significantly.
Polarized with a blue reflective coating for daytime blocks the blue glare off the water surface to see through down to the bottom, or a red coating for dawn/evening when the sunrise/sunset colors the water red/pink works WONDERS!
Alex is a machine, but your a weapon B. Your on point with your boat emergency procedure 💥 Skipjack tuna are most of the stuff they use in canned tuna. That left looked sick 🌊 Keep doing what your doing guys 😎🇦🇺🍺
We catch a substantial amount of skipjack here in South Africa. Very good eating after cooking on a fire, very soft and tender. You need to first cut out the dark blood and nerve parts. Much easier to trailer your boat on the beach by unhooking the trailer from the tow vehicle then re- hook once winched almost all the way. Complete the winching once hooked up.
Great episode guys. Live and learn (polaroids!). If that's the worst day you have boating you're doing okay. At least you don't have a 'glass boat (hint- more panic involved!). Glad you've got over the Aussie Salmon period😁. Cheers.
I tried both of those fish they do taste a bit fishy but I like seafood so Im ok with it.. Glad the boat is ok consider some polarized sunglasses they help with the waters glare its not a solution but they help in the US we call those coral heads
Thanks guys, we love your channel. Just happened to come across it got to watching. Y'all remind us of our younger years, so we decided to subscribe. So thanks again from your new fans here in the central Florida swamps 🐊. Stay safe. 👍🏼🐾
Should be wearing polarised glasses going through that sort of reef to cut the glare off the water , with good glasses you can see those sort of bommies from 20 meters away.
I’ve had Skipjack (striped tuna) sashimi and cooked, and I would have it again. As for Mac Tuna, I wouldn’t touch it with a 10ft pole again based on my personal experience.
Im originally from Busso / Dunsborough an travelled and surfed the whole west coast in the 80's & 90's glad to see your generation getting some,, ive lond since retired to Indonesia only surf without a wettie these days, love your vids new subscriber,,, dont give away to many state secrets 😂😂😂
Hey guys loved the vid, you've made your first land claim Bud...Ba Ha... Sand banks are a little more forgiving, happens to us all, good learning curve. Early morning on the East coast is just as bad for the Glare. I've never been hungry enough to keep a Skip Jack but the Mack Tuna fresh caught, yes don't mind them at all.
12:15 Pick up some polarized lenses. They are amazing at removing water glare. In many circumstances, they completely eliminate the glare. I'm a photographer and have polarized lens filters. I can always completely eliminate water glare by rotating the polarized lens filter until it disappears. They should design polarized sunglass lenses you can rotate. Maybe they do.
Get a little metho smoker & experiment with different types of wood chips don’t have to brine the fish either. Bleed all your fish out straight away and smoke the really oily fishy ones like Mack tuna, all the Treva’s even mullet taste amazing with Jarrah chips. Makes great snack food cold & good also in a fish dip with cheese.
Loading the boat : 1) pull the pin & let the trailer tilt or 2) unhitch from vehicle ( the trailer will tilt as you crank The closer the rear of the trailer is to the ground, the easier it is to load the boat. ( the trailer will move backwards towards the boat)
Just luved❤ the whales, great boat , centre console. We think we know everything then the unexpected happens, always check the bungs are in before going out, especially shark cat boat 🙏 long story, but very lucky indeed, sharks, crocs 😮
The trick is to take the trailer off the back of the car. And winch the trailer under the boat. Not the boat onto the trailer. Heaps easier if boat is on the ground. Try it
Ah we got bogged coming back from peel island to raby bay boat ramp, somehow went past the channel. noticed a seagull ahead and realised it was standing in the water. haha holy crap so lucky i backed off the accelerator and we got stuck. And yeah we all panic ay. anyways tilted up the motor and just rocked the boat while pushing it till it moved freely and off we went again. good fun it was.
Love your adventures! Great to watch. Just on sand driving, 18psi isn't low If it's soft sand, when your just driving slow like you were you can easily go down to 10 or lower if necessary.
I just love the videos you really do a great job, no bullshit straight to the point and have so much fun. Makes me just want to take off😊😊 it takes e back 25 years😉
Skipjack is canned tuna, weve all eaten it and so have you guys.. if you buy canned tuna in australia its skipjack, unless you specifically buy the fancy yellowfin canned tuna haha..
Skip Jack sashimi isn’t bad. Small fresh salmon sliced really thin is also good sashimi, but I only really have it cooked in a curry these days. Excellent curry fish.
Loved watching the two of you avert near disaster. Bronte shouting out all the right things to do and then Alex just jumping in the water and making it all happen. Like a well oiled (and trash talking) machine!! Sure we all get aggressive in high stress situations but it’s great hearing you guys talk it out afterwards. No harm no foul. Awesome footage of the whales from above. Another fantastic 27 minutes of my life (well… your life. But I’m living it through you. You and RUclips.) 👍🍾
If you guys are in Exy and need digs to stay, let me know. I work so you'll have the run of the house with your own bathroom/laundry and plenty of space to work /edit etc.
Lol the report says 3 out of 5... people on the Internet will not be more reliable. I can see the way to plan the low tied, any avalable information will no be listen to. Good luck. I over plan and research.. you guys.. not so much. Best wishes.
Terrible bloody idea skull dragging the boat along the sand let alone skull dragging it up on the trailer.. they're not made for the are they? Ive seen a trailer literally fold in half trying to pull a boat up at too low a tide..
I'm new to your channel. I would say try it what doesn't kill you makes you stronger 🤣 I would always try one once if I don't like it I won't try it again.

I love watching Bronte fish. She always looks great. Thanks.
love watching you two remindes me of my wife and i when we were young and all of our adventures.Great sound tracks

Need to slow down a bit as well hey? You could see bommies everywhere in that area.
I’ve had Skipjack (striped tuna) sashimi and cooked, and I would have it again. As for Mac Tuna, I wouldn’t touch it with a 10ft pole again based on my personal experience.
Experiences like that in the boat will make you a better skipper. All part of learning. Also most canned tuna is skipjack.

Skip Jack are great to eat sashimi guys bleed straight away and chill.
Then remove all blood line and cut and enjoy..

Significant increase in production quality. Nice work
What a great vlog! You guys are living the dream!🤙🏄♂️

Watched last night another terrific video
You guys just wing it 🤣but you pull it off 🤷♂️that’s how you gain life skills 💪🏻good on yesss🇦🇺
Maybe get a braided nylon boat winch , rather than a steel cable, better if you are worried about cable breaking!
Skipjack is canned tuna, weve all eaten it and so have you guys.. if you buy canned tuna in australia its skipjack, unless you specifically buy the fancy yellowfin canned tuna haha..
if Alex didn't eat soo much would weigh the boat down as much onto the bomies haha nah its all apart of the adventure yous nailed it.
Skip Jack sashimi isn’t bad. Small fresh salmon sliced really thin is also good sashimi, but I only really have it cooked in a curry these days. Excellent curry fish.

So sic! Amazing episode!! Keep up the good work! Shit happens brother all part of the adventure 🤙🏽🍻
wisdom comes from mistakes and experience.....lesson learned ...TICK.
Great stuff as always
Thnx.
Had skip jack sushi but you have to cut the good flesh out and leave a lot of fish, nice taste
Create it on windows 11 you can make out you were pulling in a ship on your little trailer 🌊😜
If you guys are in Exy and need digs to stay, let me know. I work so you'll have the run of the house with your own bathroom/laundry and plenty of space to work /edit etc.
skipjack is not the best or worst... with proper bleeding , ice , and processing it makes good sashimi
Lol the report says 3 out of 5... people on the Internet will not be more reliable. I can see the way to plan the low tied, any avalable information will no be listen to. Good luck. I over plan and research.. you guys.. not so much. Best wishes.
Just be mindful dragging the boat up the beach using the winch. Iv snapped the u bolts holding the winch post doing the exact same thing..
Terrible bloody idea skull dragging the boat along the sand let alone skull dragging it up on the trailer.. they're not made for the are they? Ive seen a trailer literally fold in half trying to pull a boat up at too low a tide..

Super cool. Where in Heaven are Yas ?
Muito top os vídeos de vocês parabéns
Skipjack are OK fresh barbequed. Mack tuna don't bother
Skipjack or Mack’s are ok but not awesome, probably a bit like the salmon you were eating in South Oz. If you are hungry, it’s fine 👍
Whoa, that was exciting! Did you buy a boat Bronte? Take care and have a good one!❤
Wrightys Root looks pretty good to me.
Hi..loved your posts , are you not doing anymore.
