10 months in I get mine washed conditioned and braided into a protective style I leave the style in for about 3 -4 weeks let me breathe for about a week or two then I got for another retwist and restyle it helps you forget about the locs and before you know it they grow !
I was restyling my hair every month at one point and I would take the style out after a week cause it would cause for my neck and back to hurt guess the two strand was to tight but im good on the retwist every month so just gonna let my locs breath for 3 month between
I don’t have my two strand in for right at the month. Do you think I should take it down in the next two days or wait 60 days like him but he don’t look bad at all they look normal I don’t know why he think they look bad 60 days was really Just right when you have a protective style you don’t have to how to get a re-twist every four weeks because you got a protect the style you can just wash it and make it last for two months and I actually wash mine with the style look because you can do that you don’t have to take it down
i lowkey try to leave mine in for 2-3 weeks. depends how bad the itch is. i just got barrels for the first time and the itch compared to when I get two strands is way worse. def not doing this shit again for a while lmao
Actually it’s the opposite. Styling your locs slows down the locing process. Leaving your hair and letting the roots breathe is what makes your hair loc. Less is more with locs. I’ve had mine in for 9 years so speaking from experience
I only leave them in a style for 1 week lol i cant take the tension n pull on my hair any longer then that lol n i will only put it in a style rarely. It has to be an event coming up lol
If you steam your dreadlocks, is it a good or a bad thing I was seeing some videos where they say steaming your locs can be beneficial for your locs been watching you for a while, so would like some advice from you
You already steam your locs bruh when you shower, didn’t you notice when you get out a hot shower how your locs puff up and get bigger at the roots? There is your answer lol it’s getting moisture
If you want to get ‘thicker’ locs then use jojoba oil, research your oils.. do not use products that claim to have multiple ingredients, but singular and create your own treatments
I just got a retwist 5 days ago she braided my locs to the back it was too tight i could hardly sleep it loses up but i was able to get in alot of areas now i see i have sores but my hair is curly how long will 5his last?
I retwist my dreads once a year and they grow crazy fast like that. Also taking out your style doesn't prevent matting getting your dreads retwisted only once a year causes matting even if you wash it you gotta get it retwisted at least 4 times a year
Not a expert bit they’ll mature ive had mine for 9 months and in the begini g i would wash my hair every week and the negrow would unravel but my hair still locked overtime
Im 2 years in i get a retwist/ 2 strand style every 6 weeks. I keep my style in for a month the let it free for 2 weeks. But i wash my hair evey week even tho i roc 2 strand twist
okay this video is crazy . You said you left your hair in twist for 60 days ?? noo . you should not leave a loc style for more than a couple days if you want to keep having full thick locs . think about it . the pressure and manipulation will change the formation of your loc and the thickness an the strength. why do you think oriole whole style have a lot of scalp showing . the scalp is showing because the locs have thinned . leaving a loc style for 4 weeks is over a month that’s crazy . Also when you have a loc style after the stay the curls it gives is a second style as well, so if you leave your original stay for say up to 3 days and then you take it down . you can then wear the down curls for as long as 3 weeks . if you leave a stag for 3 weeks or more , in a style up and then when it comes down you 200% need to wash the hair and will not be able to enjoy the down curls because you had it in that style for too long . don’t risk the healthiness and thickness of your locs for a style . i’m 5 yrs loc with thick locs . and for anyone who’s wanting to know you can have thick locs in rods under dryer , or rope twist for just 2-3 days blow dried after the wash and you will have beautiful curls and my curls lasted me 2 weeks . so it’s more than possible to get curls in just a few days with a stay
So, how long should I leave in a two strand twist style? I had got them done last week on the 5th, they have frizzed up though idk how when I had them covered up when I sleep.
But question tho. What if my dreads were thinning out and she intertwined my thin ones. How long do i keep my stuff braided. So it can lock and they not thinned nomo

I love barrel twist
They itchy asl thou😭💔 but barrels too tuff
Take your style out after 3 weeks. Let your locs get frizzy. It's ok.

4 to 6 for me

I believe styling your locs makes them loc faster and grow but too much thins them

Grow your locks thick before keeping it styled. I grew mine for 3 years before my first tight style

Do they still be curly?
