I love the attitude that the people who put the fence and the warning signs all around the blowhole were just clueless idiots who didn't know what they were talking about--because that's the attitude you have to have to ignore the signs and hop the fence. I bet it never once occurred to that guy that the reason the fence and the signs were there in the first place might have been because one or more people had already gotten killed doing exactly what he was planning on doing.
The crystals probably got that big the same way the Blue Whale got so big. When submerged in water, because there’s a natural buoyancy to everything in water, it allows for things to grow even bigger without the pressure of gravity on whatever it is. So, it’s like the crystals have nothing stopping them from growing, more specifically the stress and pressure that gravity would restrict them

yea no offense to the mother but the son was an idiot..if he was looking for adventure cool, he got it once, he should've called it a day and left, but no he thought it'd be a good idea to go for round 2. and also the fact he ignored the clear fence and warning before hand

Her kid was warned in many ways by many people, signs and even a fence. He was looking for trouble at that point. It’s very sad that he died and I do feel for his mom but he ignored every attempt to get him away from it. He was old enough to know better
While i'm not glad Daniel died in the last story and i feel bad for his parents still you have to be crazy to do what he was doing. I'm also glad the blowhole wasn't covered, fences and warning signs are there for a reason and if you do a crazy stunt like that you absolutely deserve the consequences for it.

For hating underwater caves he does says “lets jump into it” a lot 😅
The crystals in Cave of Swords and Great Crystal Cave are gypsum which has a hardness of two on the Mohs Hardness scale. That is *VERY* soft (for comparison, Talc (chalk) is a hardness of 1, Quartz (things like amethyst) has a hardness of 7 and diamond is 10) so, yeah you could probably saw these crystals.
