      Mars, I actually went in to the website and picked the dealership that sold me my previous car and went in on Wednesday afternoon to order a White one. I asked my sales rep if they were going to honor the 55k MSRP and he said that he did not know, because I was the first person to inquire about this car. So he went to ask his manager and came back with we are asking between 10 and 15k over sticker. I shook his hand and walked out.

    IMO this was the best reveal from Stellantis so far! I am not disappointed at all! This is exactly what I would option out on a newer 300 with 392 engine and drivetrain! The only thing I would do differently is not call it a 300C. The 300C was considered the most luxurious model of the 300s. This would be considered 300S considering not calling it a SRT. I currently have a 300S V6 and Challenger Hellcat. So I’m not disappointed that they did not go the Hellcat route at all! I don’t think it fits the Chrysler 300’s character. Also the 392 power plant is an already established DNA for the 300. I’ve also had a 06 300C SRT8 with a supercharger and still miss that car! I’ve been waiting Chrysler bring back the 392 for the newer body style for years! 👍🏾

      This is exactly what I was saying. The 300C was the luxurious model with lots of chrome and all the features. The 300S is the sport version with lots of black and dark accidents, not to say, they can be fully loaded too but, the 300s names fits this car better.

  • @alexmoffitt8063

    In my opinion, the only two things Chrysler actually got right with this car is the pricing guarantee, as well as giving it that beautiful 6.4L Hemi; other than those two things though, I feel like they somewhat missed the mark here. I really would’ve like to see a unique hood for this model, either the og Hellcat style, or maybe even a Shaker Package since it is a n/a hemi at the end of the day. A more luxurious interior would’ve also been a major plus to separate itself even better from the Scat Pack Chargers. Also, I know it wouldn’t really fit the “vibe” of the car, but where’s my damn manual :( ?!? Lastly, I know not everyone is going to spend nearly $60,000 on a Chrysler these days, but 2,200 units for all of North America seem a bit on the low side to me given that if they were evenly distributed across all 50 states, only 44 people in each state would get one, which leaves demand much greater than supply in my prediction. All in all, I’m happy Chrysler gave us something, but like the rest of the “Mopar” vehicles out right now, it just feels like another slapped together special edition to get old parts out of the warehouses so they can get ready to switch over to electric based platforms. Let me know if you disagree, I just feel like this is somewhat of a cash grab with very little passion behind it, rather just an excuse to get rid of some excess parts while also “giving the car the most power it has ever had” by 15hp out of the same exact motor especially. Idk, I’m rambling now, sorry, have a good day. :)

      Well said, Alex. I totally agree with you. For the most part of my life I've only owned Mopars (ok, not the typical ones you might think, I loved the F and M bodied models of the late 70s and early 80s and any models related to them) but after I sold my last F-body a few years ago, I wanted a modern car but I just couldn't get excited about any of Chrysler's offerings anymore. The company just seems lost and they don't know what to do. I realize they're preparing for a big changeover to electric platforms, and I hope their offerings will be more exciting and competitive in design and style and technology with other manufacturers.

    • @rodferguson3515
      @rodferguson3515 Год назад

      Contrary to what is being said .I don't think this is a Cash Grab at all . Stallients will probably lose money on these limit edition 300 c 's . Because since this is a last hurray for the old LD platform they wanted to just keep production at just 2200 cars all together and have the cars with a zero markup of 55k which for a car like this is a fairly decent price. For what you're getting.
      First of all the interior to some may be lacking but the 6.4 Liter Hemi is similar to the 2014 SRT option and the performance is not too shabby either . Plus at 55k you getting one of the last ICE Chrysler 300 models period ... After that ???? Who knows... If there will even be a EV 300 sedan or model to take it's place .. some stupid dumb fool may slap on the ,300 name and put it on a damn SUV or a crossover (hopefully that won't happen) and hopefully that the 300 will return as a badass EV sedan, ,coupe and or a convertible..

    I have the 06 Chrysler 300 and I gotta say I’m hooked. I have driven cars like Nissans, E55 Amg, Subarus, Toyotas, Hondas and an Audi A8 but I gotta say this 300 is a different type of animal. The E55 Amg was an 04 and A8 was 2014 but that AMG had exhaust pipes that your neighbors would hate. I’ll really miss this legend. Why I love the 300 so much is because it’s not fast by any means but it floats and eats up bumps so smoothly that I tend to forget I’m driving. Engine is so quiet that I have left a cup of drink on it and it did not vibrate the cup off. Yeah it’s a V6 but every other cars i mentioned here all had vibrating engines… not faulty but far from quiet engines.

      People are disappointed because Fiat and Stellantis treated the 300 like an unwanted stepchild and intentionally allowed the car to start dying on the vine seven years ago when they pulled the plug on the SRT model for the 2015 refresh and ceased advertising it. Yet, this is the car those of us who didn't care for the Charger Scat Pack wanted from the jump. And to add another slap in the face, this sendoff 300 doesn't offer the Dynamics Package or active suspension. It's an insult, IMO.

      @@dylanmijer2890 Fiat merged with Chrysler in 2011, the refresh came in 2015. Whether it’s Stellantis or Chrysler themselves doesn’t really matter. In recent years, 300 sales have been going up because of the whacky car market and people wanting new cars. The 300 continues to be sold with an SRT-8 variant in the Middle East. The 300 SRT variant ultimately should’ve been sold in North America because of how big the sales were for the Charger and Challenger Hellcat. Chrysler had every opportunity to do so yet they still are killing off the current gen 300 without what so many people wanted. So no there was never “not enough demand for it” because people have been wanting it to come to the US for years. You cannot deny that it is Chrysler’s own fault for letting the 300 die out because they were too lazy to actually bring the SRT variant over to the North American markets.

    I really wanted to see a Hellcat Redeye powered 300. I get that they didn't want to retool for 1 model year, but I feel they could have followed Dodge's lead by partnering with a 3rd party that was already doing conversions. (Challenger convertibles in Dodge's case). This seems kind of a real let down since they are giving us the same SRT that's been around in non-US markets for 7 years now, and it's not even as nice on the inside.

    I’m so proud of Chrysler but I’m also pretty sad this is the end of the line for the 300. I have a 2015 300S with 70,000 miles and I love it. I feel this was a nice way for Chrysler to end the road with the 300. The only thing is 300C was the luxurious model with lots of chrome and all the features. The 300S is the sport version with lots of black and dark accidents, not to say, they can be fully loaded too but, the 300s names fits this car better.

  • @SevenFiftyNorth
    @SevenFiftyNorth Год назад

    Your suggestion that Chrysler did the reservations online to prevent price gouging is unfortunately not the full story. Individual Chrysler dealers can still charge whatever they want regardless of MSRP. The first dealer I selected for my order told me that they'd determine the market price when the vehicle was delivered. The only thing that reserving the car through them was going to do for me was give me right of first refusal to pay whatever price they dreamed up. Another Chrysler dealer said they'd sell the car at MSRP if I ran the transaction through them, and they gave me an order sheet with the order number and price written on it. I've since been able to look up my VIN using my last name and order number.
