Hi Claudia. I took the historic rocky route (no rain) and it was SO hard and dicey. Next time I'll turn right like you did. Walking up the stairs I was singing the Rocky song. It rained that evening. The wind crossing the bridge was so strong it kept pushing me against the guardrail and since I'm really afraid of heights...another dicey moment. Amazing the distance you did. Incredible fortitude.
OMG! Love it "the rocky song" !!! I'm afraid of hights and bridges too, I just kept my eye straight ahead not thinking about the fact I was on a bridge 🙌
Oh my God, Claudia. I can't believe you're almost done! What an incredible accomplishment ❤. I hope we can get together with Watson when you get home. Maggie can run around our backyard and you can tell Dave and I all about your adventures.
I feel your pain deciding to put on the wet weather gear, I’m the same then it’s like a boil in the bag situation!! I tend to leave it until it’s too late then I’m hot wet and grumpy 😂 well done on another long day xx
so glad you are doing well, you are doing long stages...these are rolling terrain...I have wondered, what is the C on your hat? Canada?? I hated those stairs, especially at the end of the day!!! such Beautiful country! what a great job! have the pulpo in Melide, it is the best!
Unless you're walking in the winter I wouldn't bring water proof shoes. Mine aren't and for example today it rained all day and my feet were fairly dry. You can always change socks during the day and maybe have extra insoles.
That’s a long walk…and a heck of a pace Claudia. Well done! And, to walk into Portomarin to finish….so many hills! We stayed in Vilacha (2.5km east of Portomarin) in a lovely cozy place owned by a family from California. If you want good food in Melide, check out Casa Alongos. Not to be missed!
Hello Claudia, my name is Rosie Aguayo and my husband Alex and I have been religiously watching your everyday journey to the Camino de Santiago and love the great amount of information you provide. Every evening we look forward to your next video : ). We are from California and are currently training to do the Camino in September 2024. I have a question about money........I understand that most albergues/hostels and restaurants only take cash. We don't feel comfortable carrying a large amount of cash and wonder when and how do you exchange money while on the Camino? Are there many banks along the way and what do they require to exchange money? Can you suggests any banks? Thank you so much for these awesome videos and I hope you have a great time when you meet your parents at Camino de Santiago.
Hi Rosie! I answered your question today on day 30 video. Let me know if that answers it or if you have further questions. Also most albergues are ok with taking credit card.

Those stairs!!!!! I thought my legs were going to give out 😂. C for Cleveland Guardians the baseball team. Loving the Pulpo!
Thanks so much for journaling for us! Are your shoes waterproof and if so is that working out for you or is it too warm for waterproof shoes?

See you soon, C Rod!
Less than a 100km to go!!
Her feet are going to need a nice massage when she gets home Watson.

Thank you Claudia, looking forward to watching you next video. 🥰🤗🏃🏽♀️
Are you following an app for how much you walk in your days? I want to do this adventure so I'm doing my research. Love your documentary.
I use the Buen Camino APP, and I have a Garmin watch that I track my kms and steps
