Running in sand the whole time is a totally different animal than the ski resort venues they usually do. That looked brutal. It's also cool to see so many international competitors at this championship. Congrats to Atkins for winning and the Spartan crew for the great coverage!
Great 👍 coverage and play by play. It’s always good when David adds insights into what racers are doing along the course. I’m glad a volunteer or staff told Ryan that he grabbed the wrong sandbag. This prevented a controversy at the end. Beautiful course and dunes.
Thrilling race! Ryan really had to fight for the win. Bravo - Well deserved!!! Awesome race for Sergei and Jonathan who made Ryan earn it. Excellent coverage and venue. Great Job! Looking forward to running at Abu Dhabi.
It is a great coverage of the race, it would even better if you wouldn't use photos of the race winners in the video thumbnails, it ruins the fun a bit :)
I LOVE Spartan Race, but the back drop is not as visually pleasing as the mountains, perhaps that is just me. I am not saying it is not challenging and an excellent test of human performance. That being said I am thrilled that Ryan won his world championship.
Is Atkins wearing a continuous glucose monitor on the back of his left tricep? If so, is it the Dexom with continuous monitoring? That would be interesting because you can set it to sync with your watch and give real time glucose alerts.
On a separate note, I wish and hope Joe partners with Whoop on Spartan series, Championships or/and WTMs. He interviewed Whoop founder on Spartan Up. It would’ve been cool to see the strain levels of each racer along this course.
Disappointed in Spartan. Where is the women’s coverage? You have the best female competitor there is and nothing. Awesome for Ryan but there are two winners in this event. You want people coming out. Let’s see the women’s race.
In recent races, Spartan has been alternating when races are posted. Men's video first then women's a few days later. Then next race is women's race first followed by men's race (Big Bear US National Series). I suspect same pattern continues. The do seem to be fair in this regards.
Happy that Ryan finally got his World title. The emotion says it all. Great race.
Right. Bout time.
Spoiler alert your the top comment and I was still watching the video lol

This should have far more coverage and views. Amazing race.
Happy for Ryan. Sergei- what a class act! "The shadow you can't shake." Stunning compliment from the world champ on the runner up.
Let's go Atkins. Hard work pays off.

🙏
Why only 31 minutes short race coverage :( When the race was more then 2 hours. Thank you for that but I'm a little disappointed.
Incredible coverage, locution and an epic career, rarely lived!
thank you
Excellent coverage. I’m soooo happy for Rayan Arkins. He really dug as deep as it get to make it come true for himself 💪💪😎
thank you

What an amazing race and beautiful desert scenery! I wish I could have been there to experience the course!
Again, please stop showing the podium finishers in the thumbnail. It ruins the drama of the moment.
100% agree. Very annoying.
fucking true; the dramatic editing and narration and the thumbnail spoils it all
So happy for Ryan. He played it smart and went out hard. Much love and respect 💪💪💪
Amazing race! Ryan deserves the win. So happy for him. Awesome job. 👏👏👏
Nice coverage. Great race! Congrats to Ryan Atkins for claiming the title.
thank you
Great coverage! About 27:26….Sergei was not in the lead….you can clearly see Atkins is still in the lead…😀

Has the women’s world championship coverage been posted yet? I don’t see it .

Ryan trying pretty hard not to cry in the interview, must mean a lot and he deserves the title.

Great race and brilliant to watch, when do we get to watch the elite ladies?

Having a Sandbag Carry while running on sand is the funniest thing I heard today!
😁

Amazing🙂
Why was this race held in the desert? Hell wasn't available?
The camera man 🥱
I’m telling you running in sand is ridiculous just ridiculous and difficult!!!
lol not the bridesmaid lmfaooo
Did Veejay not compete because of a rib injury??? We need him out there representing USA 🇺🇸.
He has been focusing on shorter races lately.
86? in my country hot is 95 (smirk emoji)
That Barbwire is way too high it should be half the height come on Spartan
Wow, there is barely anyone there
What! Is this real human?
Arooo
Commentary not up to usual standards - a lot of the time we didn't know what was happening
It’s not the radio.
@@Dountman Did you miss the bit about " up to the usual standards" ? I meant by the usual standards of Spartan vids.
13:55 this was not Albon come on guys haha
I saw that too albon doesn’t wear a had facing forward and his hair is not dark
Look at how soft that sand is
Perelygin is the best
86 in Abu Dhabi is hot?
Oooooook.

it is posted.
Hynek is from Czech republic, no way Croatia, Watson you are such a shame to this sport and you confirm that everytime you open your mouth 🤦
Horrible location.
This dude was texting during the commentary. Poor and turns me off from this sport
he was looking at his notes, not texting.
Looks boring af
