Just watched your vid on DHT and I get why people believe dht is not very anabolic but I can assure you dht is one of the most anabolic especially on a mg for mg basis. Pure dht grows muscle more than just about every anabolic especially alongside moderate doses of testosterone. Somewhere along the way "science" convinced everyone otherwise for some reason. But 8 weeks+ on pure androstanolone / DHT and you will see significant gain in lean muscle mass, incredible strength gains and very significant reduction in bodyfat as dht is estrogen antagonistic. It also prevents estrogen related water retention. On another note it will eventually come out that dht isn't the direct reason for prostate hypertrophy but rather diet, cleaners, BPA and all the other estrogenic / estradiol mimicking substances most are exposed to daily... over many years your body ramps up dht through an unnatural pathway alongside estrogen that isn't supposed to be present and as you know this tends to occur at age 50 onward. No surprise there considering being bombarded with estrogen mimickers This raised dht kills testosterone levels further contributing to the cycle. All of this is easy to prove. Other major issue aside from the nonsense about dht, and all the Finasteride use etc is why is no one raising the alarm bells about the crashing testosterone levels over the last 4-5 decades! The numbers of boys who are years late to puberty, and never fully develope can not be an accident because it's so prevalent. so we shouldn't take berberine if u want higher T levels and to build more muscle? Doesn't this help with losing fat and controlling blood sugar levels?
probably not. Berberine helps with blood sugar metabolism, but this really only helps to lower blood sugar quicker after meals. Doesnt really help to lose fat. The most effective way to lower blood sugar after meals is to do set of push ups, walk around the block, or do some air squats after a meal.

What?? The last chapter is dramatic! So I have to choose between gaining muscle mass and giving up my health, or taking care of my health but giving up muscle mass ...
Do we have to worry about hormones binding to ARs and blocking T? E.g., the weak T metabolites like androstane, or estrogens, or even cortisol. Does cortisol bind to AR? I think I read that once. Is there a way to keep ARs "clean" so only T can bind to it?
no. But there is crosstalk pathways between receptor types i.e. ARs and ERs. Estrogen acting on ERs can suppress AR activity, but it isnt direct in the sense that it actually "blocks" the receptor. If you want to keep them "clean" this would probably be best served by strictly avoiding food phenols that literally block ARs.
Hello, first of all I will just say that I very much regret that I did not have the knowledge that you provide here a few years ago. I used to have a lot of energy and high libido - I wanted to exercise, date girls and generally wanted to live. Unfortunately, at some point I started VERY exhausting and frequent training (often on an empty stomach) based mainly on intense running and a low-calorie diet. Add to that a lot of stress at work and my libido has completely disappeared for 4 years. At first I didn't know what was happening, I was desperately looking for a solution and I even started taking external testosterone, but it did absolutely nothing for me - I didn't feel ANY improvement. Today I know that my androgen receptors have suffered due to this chronic stress. My cortisol levels are still in the upper limits, or slightly above the norm. I feel tired all the time and I wanted to ask you, if I managed to lower my cortisol level, would there be a chance that my androgen receptors would regain their sensitivity? I will be very grateful to you for your answer. Regards
Well "polyphenols" is a broad term used to describe a class of molecules. Just do a search on polyphenols and AR function. It is a pretty extensive topic.
@@devinnorsworthy9154 I read that it was possible in decades past(before steroids was invented)for a man to have natural testosterone rating of 1500(which seems nuts). Probably was in part due to not being exposed to a flood of xenoestrogens that we are exposed to now.
Nah nah nah nah nah. Testosterone does not downregulate the AR at all. There's plenty of studies to back up the fact that AR activation leads to hyperplasia, and thus more ARs for test to bind to. Specifically true with DHT. Which is why inhibition of DHT can cause so many problems.
I’ve been at 80% DHT reduction for half a year now. kept getting stronger in the gym, balding disappeared and so did my acne What you guys don’t understand is DHT Does not actually get to touch your muscles and bone. LOVE YOUR VIDEOS
Thank you for this video I have to take notes on this
lol
I need to start posting my notes to my videos. Would that be something that you would download if I made available.
@@NutritionLibrary Yes I am trying to learn as much as I can with about this topic about Androgen Receptor, there is a picture of a statute that has very defined muscular body but no steroids were present in the past also no signs of gyno? Today's male has gyno and does not have the same build unless he takes steroids. I want to learn what changed and how I can fix it
@@NutritionLibrary I totally would😁
No new Video from last 6 months ... Any update on this??
At the closure of the video, I would’ve liked
to know what exact foods to avoid.
Could I have to high T-lvls which fatigued my receptors?
Quick info: Personal trainer for 8 years, 30y old, 15y of training, good diet 160-200g protein per day (no shakes), 4-6 training days per week (prog overload, deload, deepest ROM etc..).
I have some muscle but I don't look like I trained my ass, which I do... (181cm, 81kg 14-15% bf)
I have 1.100-1.300 ng/dl test and over refference range free testosterone. Was diagnosed with 21 alfa hydroxylase defficiency (40-60% defficiency) doctor thought I was on gear.
FSH, LH all normal. Estrogen/progesteron is very low...
So my belief is I have bad receptor sensitivity.
What can I do?
Man, I was trying to take 2g of L Carnitine orally (because of the low bioavailability), but that was wrecking me with painful GI distress and stomach cramps. I'd wake up in the middle of the night and have to just get up moving to give my brain other signals to help numb the pain
interesting.
What do you think of keto diet? Based on my research its whole purpose is to not raise insulin
how many mg of L caratine should i take? And also do I take L aragtine with L caratine? Nice video, you just earned yourself a new subscriber!
What about taurine
It is possible given its similarity to carnitine in regards to energy metabolism.
Hey! If you’re trying to improve androgens for health how would this work in conjunction with a 5ar inhibitor for hair loss ? Would this make hair loss worse or can you achieve both?
I would imagine increasing V02 max would help.. the Norwegian 4x4 is a good place to start 😊
Can the androgen receptors be enhanced by bpc?
How much l carnitine?
"Avoidance of ejaculation ". That's sounds like the opposite of what Im looking for.
Appreciate this so much
Amazing video. Thanks
So lack of ejaculation is good ?
Yes
thank you for your insight
Acute stress triggering release of testosterone makes sense for recovery.
agreed.
Basically, most of the antioxidants block AR?
Supposedly but I take many of those things and I still grow muscle just fine.
Do you think in a way this explains a blue collar workers "manliness" as more of a default over definition, considering they weather the extremes of seasonal work outside, as opposed to a climate controlled office?
Plenty of bodybuilders taking Berberine when on cycle, so it could be bad for their androgen receptors?
Would be interesting to see a video about reverse osmosis water.Or just your thoughts/opinions?
Do we know if androgen receptors would be more dominant in certain muscle groups, depending on the person? I read many years ago that androgen receptors are predominantly in the traps and delts? If that's wrong, could it be 1 bicep? Or one pec?
Surprised you didn't talk about CAG repeats re androgen receptor sensitivity
well that's because its genetic and there isnt much you can do to change it.
@@NutritionLibrary fair enough. Maybe Adheel Khan will have something to change that soon...
So basically L-carnitine and stimulate natural growth hormone with protein.
androgens upregulate androgen receptors.. These are nuclear receptors not g-coupled
Interesting!! But what about natural supplements that increase androgen receptors, such as L-carnitine tartrate forkolin, etc. more supplements that help increase androgen receptor here!!
Great content, thank you for all the info you share. I'm curious if you are aware of an link to a decrease in testosterone response or production post vasectomy? It may be coincidental or psychosomatic but I feel like my testosterone plummeted after my vasectomy and I am now after watching this more curious if somehow my androgen receptors have been affected.
Vasectomy is very bad. You destroyed your spiritual centers
so we shouldn't take berberine if u want higher T levels and to build more muscle? Doesn't this help with losing fat and controlling blood sugar levels?
Chromium instead?
probably not. Berberine helps with blood sugar metabolism, but this really only helps to lower blood sugar quicker after meals. Doesnt really help to lose fat. The most effective way to lower blood sugar after meals is to do set of push ups, walk around the block, or do some air squats after a meal.
@@oneluv11 Bill Starr was a big advocate for chromium polynicotinate, but that was back in the 80's.
@@bigguy130 similar to berberine no?
Is there a medication or medication that can enhance androgen receptors to function?
Steroids
This Higher Test leads to Prostate issues or even Prostate cancer?
I think the potent DHT is the one that may give your issues ?? That what causes balding
Can jacuzzi/hot tub be used in place of sauna, since I have no access to one.
Red-neck sauna: front seat of the car, sitting in the sun.
I can inject 500mg testosterone and feel nothing (i have post finasteride syndrome). Do u have any input on this? some beleve its Androgen receptor overexpression.
Take proviron with it😊
use more
cialis does as well
What?? The last chapter is dramatic!
So I have to choose between gaining muscle mass and giving up my health, or taking care of my health but giving up muscle mass ...
OK, I am stopping taking DIM. Thank you so much!
Great vid
Do we have to worry about hormones binding to ARs and blocking T? E.g., the weak T metabolites like androstane, or estrogens, or even cortisol. Does cortisol bind to AR? I think I read that once. Is there a way to keep ARs "clean" so only T can bind to it?
Estrogens aren’t androgens, so they don’t attach to the AR. They attach to their own ER
Can you go more into the lack of ejaculation increasing androgen receptors sensitivity?
I will try.
There are studies on rat on pumbed. The more you ejaculate the less dense the ARs become
What if i dont want to lose my hair😔
Eat well. Sleep well. End of the video 😐
What is your opinion regarding sodium valproate depakote for fixing AR overexpression thus making the ligands bind into the AR efficiently?
Does this test test this androgen thing your talking about
on TRT this will be helpful aswell! btw the lcarnitine would that be oral or injected?
Both but injectable works better.
do one on DHEA please
Regards
What about ghrp like tesamorlin or ipamorlin ???
Thank you
where can i see the full list of androgen blockers?
Well "polyphenols" is a broad term used to describe a class of molecules. Just do a search on polyphenols and AR function. It is a pretty extensive topic.
Wat your views on the natural T boosters? If any maybe you cud give opinions on some..
That’s some serious beard on the thumbnail.
Yeah I cut it off right before I shot and didn't have time to do any updated headshots for the thumbnail.
Finally He shaved his Amish beard off !
Heat Schock Proteins? Does Sauna increase androgen receptor sensitivity or something?
it may. No evidence as of yet. But it stands to reason.
So you think that you can increase your Test and your androgen receptors, to a degree that you can build more visual muscle ?
I saw a study done where men who simply had their T levels increased put on more muscle mass by that alone.
@@devinnorsworthy9154 I read that it was possible in decades past(before steroids was invented)for a man to have natural testosterone rating of 1500(which seems nuts). Probably was in part due to not being exposed to a flood of xenoestrogens that we are exposed to now.
@@devinnorsworthy9154taking exogenous test is shown to increase receptors too
Nah nah nah nah nah.
Testosterone does not downregulate the AR at all. There's plenty of studies to back up the fact that AR activation leads to hyperplasia, and thus more ARs for test to bind to.
Specifically true with DHT. Which is why inhibition of DHT can cause so many problems.
I’ve been at 80% DHT reduction for half a year now.
kept getting stronger in the gym,
balding disappeared and so did my acne
What you guys don’t understand is DHT
Does not actually get to touch your muscles and bone. It is produced locally in the scalp, prostate and facial skin.
That’s it. It serves no function after Puberty, and there’s people born without DHT enzymes and they have no problems
NoFap (semen retention) enhance androgen levels. Thanks for the information.
arginine, glysine, glutamine for GH
