The only admirals I want to see in the discussion is aokiji and akainu. Blackbeard who was about to become a yonko, who has the 2 strongest fruits of their category and he had his whole crew with him ran away from akainu because "we are not ready for that".
If it were to be a fight between shanks and kaido, shanks wouldn't have made it back to marineford in that time. Besides, Kaido has Shanks in his top 5, but don't forget he still he thought he was the strongest. That means he respect shanks but still sees himself as superior.

First is kaido was just drunk and shanks gave him sake😂. 2nd theory is that shanks came and told him that ace wasn't Joyboy.. Many things point to ace was supposed to be him but ultimately we know it's Luffy. Both kaido and shanks were unscathed so I don't think a fight took place..

Green bull with that seed was likely going to do some sort of sneak attack if I had to guess involving him and his fruit, and he was intentionally doing that so they could have the advantage at a later date when shanks and the crews have moved out to fight for wano to be under government control, thats just my theory. TLDR: Green bull pulled up and was destroying everyone, planted a seed and was intentionally distracting for that seed, once it was planted and he felt shanks haki, shanks believed that he could solo them if he said "are you really afraid of the new generation that much?" even if they were at a weakened state, he just peaced out because he got what he wanted with the seed

Shanks said he's protecting the recovering warriors after he happened to sense Greenbul, he probably don't know their condition and if they can fight an admiral after their battle with the beast pirates.

We have to take in consideration that kaidou was fighting 24/7 He barley got time to 1v1 anyone that was on Onigashima. He was jumped back to back from top tier fighters Law, Yamato, Zoro, Kid, and Luffy himself. While most of them got breaks and were fully healed Kaidou did not. So if we put Luffy and Kaido in a 1v1 I thi k Kaidou would win even with Gear 5 luffy
Put shanks in place of Kaido… they will make a short work of shanks and it shouldn’t even be a debate. I can’t see shank’s or anybody other than kaido tanking all those heavy hitters. Oda already showed in marineford Yonko>Admirals 😂... Why we needed these last two chapters is wild.. I still stand by my belief that king and queen probably had seastone cuffs on or something weakening them.. Favorite part is seeing Luffy and his crew just chilling with an admiral on deck. Talk about growth 💯.. Sabo has been a top 3 favorite character for me and has one of the best anime intros.. My headcanon is that he will fight akainu end of Series and so this progression will help that belief. Any admiral fans should not watch Film Red 😭. Y'all gonna be hurt..
It only have up to 4 or 3 more admirals left thats debatable and it maybe: garp sengoku kong and akainu. Even though sengoku stopped the war because of shanks still btw i'm not an admiral fan.
I agree with you on sabo fighting akainu that's what I personally believe too. I mean the only thing that burns hotter then magma in the op verse is blue flames and blue flames could be the awakening of sabos fruit I also think it would be pretty poetic to have the fruit of the person that akainu killed to be the fruit that kills akainu

Kaido still top 1, Shanks and him clashed both were clean. Yonkos have about the same attack power so a simple clash is not even a serious fight they rarely go all out because they know both sides would lose alot.

Realistically Shanks knows WAYYY more than we think he does. He knew what the “gum gum fruit” really was... Whos to say which doesn’t sound like a stretch. Shanks probably told him look, you’re in wano, don’t come looking for war its not worth it - Joyboy himself will come to you and fight you 1 on 1 it will be what you are looking for. & On that note they probably clashed - Shanks probably said some more stuff, Kaido was like Im hearing you & So he waited... During the fight with Luffy he was speaking saying you are not Joyboy, only to find out later the kid was Joyboy. Drums of liberation kicks in. Only because Shanks pulled up with no visible damage at marienford, Kaido has no scar what not from the confrontation with Shanks, so they mostlikey clashed and Shanks told him something Kaido wanted. The fight with Luffy backs this up, Kaidos backstory too, etc.

I think that another feat for sabo is that aramaki is able to get past fire which is one of his main weaknesses and sabo completely shut that down if he went toe to toe with both him and fujitorq
Am i the only one who's been thinking it this way. GB felt Shanks haki and ran not because of shanks himself, but because of shanks AND his crew. GB said "red hair pirates are you nearby" and he also said "im not picking a fight with you guys". In these cases hes not only talking about Shanks, but also his crew. I think GB ran away not because he was scared of shanks, but because he knew Shanks crew was there so he'd have to fight Shanks, Beckmen, Yasopp, Lucky Roo, and Shanks entire crew at the same time. I would agree but literally two chapters ago, he said he doesn’t have time for mere commanders. So either he’s really scared of shanks or he’s really scared of both him and his crew. If an admrial is scared of a pirate crew only consisting of around 10 people, then shanks crew is built different.

Considering Mihawk has the best armament and has some observation related titles (Hawkeye and Clairvoyant), it makes sense for Shanks to be a conquerors monster Considering he was Mihawk previous rival (though Mihawk looking for someone stronger now 💀)

I have a slight issue with downplaying Aramaki, mostly because he came in expecting to fight single new yonko, of course he will run once second one shows up. What I think about the yonko vs Admiral debate is that the new gen admirals vs yonko conversation is dead. But I think the og admirals vs yonko conversation is still going. We havent seen anything make the og admirals look bad unlike ryokugyu and fujitora. I'd honestly say if kizaru was the one that showed up on wano things could've been very different.

Nah kizaru gets folded. Marco was keeping up with him and there’s a few guys on wano that’s stronger than him. None and I mean on one of the admrials can beat a yonko. The only one that has a very good chance is akainu and maybe akoji.

well obviously he's the best haki user in one piece at the moment, was and is still the only yonko without a devil fruit his haki has to be insane, he doesn't come across as someone with ridiculous natural strength like kaido so haki is definitely his strong suit.

Remember how kaido was actu defeated so many times as a pirate? Nah green bull was just pretending to be scared. Shanks had to use his haki cause he was scared to go close to green bull. If green bull wanted to he could beat shanks in a couple of hits but he chose to go easy and have fun.
Right now, for me Akainu is the only Admiral who can clash with a Yonko 1V1 and do serious damage. Maybe Aokiji as well if he got stronger post-timeskip like we asume Akainu did. But unlikely. (And of course Prime Garp and Sengoku probably beat every Yonko). Shanks number 1. Let's gooooooo!
Aokiji became as strong as Akainu. They both fought 10 days straight in order to deserve the position of Fleet Admiral. We all know how much a One Piece character can grow from a fight. We all know how much haki blooms during an intense battle. Post-timeskip Akainu and Aokiji are clearly *both* Yonko Level which is why they *both* deserved the position of Fleet Admiral.

Also if these guys must be around yonko level because the power balance would be fucked. They quite clearly have major issues with yonko teaming up, showing slight weakness but it isn’t something that they find super threatening showing 3 admirals are at the level of 2+ yonko.

Well I expect the only Admiral that could even hold their own against a Yonko being Akainu or Aokiji/Kuzan. Kuzan defected but he did match with Akainu for 10 days which is a lot. Yes, Akainu was getting bodied by Whitebeard but he didn't die against an enraged Whitebeard using full power. And let's not forget, Akainu is the one that ACTUALLY killed Whitebeard since he dealt the most lethal damage to him. Half his head was blown for gods sake.

That was in between the time Roger died and when Shank FIRST met Luffy, for all we know one year later BlackBeard landed a hit on a younger less experienced shanks.
I think the reason Blackbeard doesn't want to fight Shanks is because Black beards advantage is to cancel devil fruits and since Shanks doesn't have one he can't cancel it out or pull him in with black hole. Because of this, I think he is gonna need to find some way to beat Shanks but definitely not by himself.

Crazy talk. Marco was about level with the yonkou and Big Mom ran away from Marco directly stating that he is strong enpugh to kill her. Her words, not mine. Kizaru knew there were two yonkou in Wano amd the marines dont even have a base there. How do you volunteer to invade enemy territory and 1v2 if you arent even stong enough to drop one yonkou? Blackbeard on his junior yonkou status with his whole crew available ran away when he saw Akainu coming. He didnt even check who Akainu brought with him, one admiral was enough. It seems that Ryokugyuu is just not that beastly, he is an emergency hire afterall, not war bred.

I don't put admiral above yonko or yonko above admirals. I don't think we can classify a title with powerscaling. One example is that Buggy is a yonko and I doubt he can beat any if the admirals. I think this chapter just shows us how crazy shanks is. Shanks probably made Kaido turn away when he was rumored to be heading to the war and clashing with Shanks. The marines stopped the war when Shanks showed up and even Blackbeard gave up. I've also seen blackbeard escape instead of face Akainu. I think we have to wait and see, matchups matter more in one piece.
Buggy is only a yonko because of the powerful people in his own “crew” and the wg thinks Buggy is the leader of the crew. By the wg standards the leader > subordinates and Mihawk boxes with Shanks.

TLDR: Green bull pulled up and was destroying everyone, planted a seed and was intentionally distracting for that seed, once it was planted and he felt shanks haki, shanks believed that he could solo them if he said "are you really afraid of the new generation that much?" even if they were at a weakened state, he just peaced out because he got what he wanted with the seed

I still stand by my belief that king and queen probably had seastone cuffs on or something weakening them.. Favorite part is seeing Luffy and his crew just chilling with an admiral on deck. My headcanon is that he will fight akainu end of Series and so this progression will help that belief.

GB said "red hair pirates are you nearby" and he also said "im not picking a fight with you guys". In these cases hes not only talking about Shanks, but also his crew. @@uwin23 sakazuki and aokiji are well versed In haki. Don’t know about conquerors but haki none the less. They’ve been shown to have future sight as well. Also if these guys must be around yonko level because the power balance would be fucked. They quite clearly have major issues with yonko teaming up, showing slight weakness but it isn’t something that they find super threatening showing 3 admirals are at the level of 2+ yonko.

Well I expect the only Admiral that could even hold their own against a Yonko being Akainu or Aokiji/Kuzan. Kuzan defected but he did match with Akainu for 10 days which is a lot.
Yes, Akainu was getting bodied by Whitebeard but he didn't die against an enraged Whitebeard using full power. And let's not forget, Akainu is the one that ACTUALLY killed Whitebeard since he dealt the most lethal damage to him. Half his head was blown for gods sake.

he wasn't getting bodied by whitebeard, anime just made him look weak and all but in the manga he washed off part of whitebeard face and made a gapping hole in his chest, after whitebeard did 3 blows to him and the only reason akainu didn't continue was because he fall.

This feels like when the scarbards were pulling up on kaido people almost thought they were gonna do it and when they atack kaido he were looking down bad until he retaliated. Just saying I still stand by the fact that admirals can battle yonkos. And the fact averyone is going wild the fact sabo and his crew escaped from two admirals and damaged fujitoro is should be given a benefit of a doubt of the nine scabbard stabbing kaido. And green bull case he did say he can fight shanks but not him and his crew. I still stand admirals can fight yonko like akainu did. If the admirals are that week then one piece structure doesn’t make sense to me if you see it on the perspective of context build up.

I think the reason Blackbeard doesn't want to fight Shanks is because Black beards advantage is to cancel devil fruits and since Shanks doesn't have one he can't cancel it out or pull him in with black hole. Because of this, I think he is gonna need to find some way to beat Shanks but definitely not by himself.
He had 2 df and all of his crew was with him, and you could argue he was slightly injured, but his crew aren't even nowhere hurt.

I don't put admiral above yonko or yonko above admirals. I don't think we can classify a title with powerscaling. One example is that Buggy is a yonko and I doubt he can beat any if the admirals.
I think this chapter just shows us how crazy shanks is. Shanks probably made Kaido turn away when he was rumored to be heading to the war and clashing with Shanks. The marines stopped the war when Shanks showed up and even Blackbeard gave up. I've also seen blackbeard escape instead of face Akainu.
I think we have to wait and see, matchups matter more in one piece.
