Not really... There are jyotishis from vaishnav parampara who knows core principles, secrets and their teaching is beyond imagination. I've seen Deepanshu's lectures some of his teaching are against rishi parasara's teachings (like how can ketu be an atamkaraka🤦) and his remedies are based on a islamic astrologer umi(laal kotab) while in Indian vedic traditions we always follow remedies from puranas and vedas(sanatana). So I beg to differ he's more of a mercurian astrologer rather than a jyotish.

So the whole of Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, and Brahmasutras are texts to navigate the afterlife situation, while some jyotish can guide us in this life. On one hand, I expect a total surrender to Krishna or realizing Brahman as the ultimate truth, understanding that the world is an appearance, a mithya. On the other hand, I may also seek guidance from my jyotish to predict the future. It may seem contradictory, as on one side, I devote myself to the feet of the Lord, considering Him my master, and on the other, I seek an expert's guidance for a favorable outcome. Does that mean I lack trust in my surrender or faith in my bhakti?

That has been my observation with my own studies and applications with my own chart and life. I've stopped wrestling with life since learning astrology. I've learnt to grow into true patience, acceptance and peace, surely that means that I'm accumulating less and less impressions and I'm releasing more and more of the previous impressions I had. I'm not perfect at my practice but it certainly gives me something meaningful to strive for everyday.

U should use jyotish in only spiritual development of soul. One should see his own flaws weakness and work on it. If you are using jyotish for materialistic goals earthly desires predictions then its not the right way coz u r playing with karma. Yes it can be used for healing or knowing ur strength and weakness ur inner qualities which can make u decide ur career path. There is a reason why u r born with certain placements, signs because God want to nuture ur soul by making you go through that karma, no upaye will help in this case, only ur spiritual transformation is needed towards the perticular house or bhave or sign of concern. Like u r a student, God will give u some test, u need to go through some sufferings and failure, in order to become the person u r destined to be eg -if u r an egoic person proud of ur knowledge, then God will do something in order to cut down ur ego, if u r a cheater in relationships than God will do something in order to make you realise the value of true people in ur life. Gauranga Prabhu got confused with Shadanga of vedas nd 6 schools of thought known as Darshana Shastras. Shiksha,Vyakarna ,Chandas,Nirukta ,Kalpa nd Jyotishya are the Shadangas. All the above 6 schools hold vedas as the ultimate reality. But their approach nd interpretations vary. Jyotishya which is a shadanga of Vedas is Astronomy nt astrology . That is the Mathematical aspect of Astrology not the predictive part. It’s funny, I don’t care for my Vedic chart, like, at ALL. 😂 Not that I doubt the system, because I respect it for what it is. It’s very ancient and full of interesting points, the nakshatras, various alignments creating different yogas, the lunar mansions, etc., I love all of that. There are many aspects of it that I think are so cool, I’m surprised western doesn’t use them. But anyway. I’m just very perplexed by my placements in my Vedic chart versus my western. And to be honest, it’s so incorrect, it’s FUNNY. Because the Vedic and sidereal system is naturally 20-25 degrees behind western tropical astrology, that can cause one’s chart to either be roughly the same (albeit in earlier degrees, so a different expression of the sign/planet), or if you’re like me, you have earlier degrees in western, thus those points in the Vedic chart go back into the previous sign. In my western chart, none of my planets, except for two, are over 9°. They’re all one-digit degrees, basically. Except my Mars, which is 25° Scorpio, and Jupiter at 23° Aquarius. If I do a Vedic chart, these planets do stay in the same signs, but lower degrees, like between 0° and 5°, approximately. However, all of my placements thar are single-digit will naturally be middle or upper degrees of the PREVIOUS sign, it doesn’t make sense. I’m an Aquarius sun, Mercury, Venus, in western, yet thst all becomes Capricorn in Vedic. And higher degrees, which means more established and mature energy. How am I a youthful, possibly delusional or immature Aquarian in western astrology, but a more seasoned, mature, professional Capricorn in Vedic astrology?! I don’t identify with that, unfortunately. Everything about me is VERY Aquarian. My interests, how I am, my entire life is very Aquarius. And my ascendant, in western, is 4° Scorpio, with Ketu also 4° Scorpio. I know the outer planets aren’t used in Vedic, but I also have Pluto there, at 7° Scorpio. 😬 haha. But then, these become 18°-20° of Libra in Vedic? Makes no sense. I identify very much with my Scorpio placements. My Moon is 9° of Leo. But then in Vedic, it’s something like 22° Cancer? What? Just makes no sense. Everything about my moon in Leo in the tenth house makes perfect sense. Conjunct the midheaven, too. It does not add up in Vedic, for me…

U should use jyotish in only spiritual development of soul. One should see his own flaws weakness and work on it. If you are using jyotish for materialistic goals earthly desires predictions then its not the right way coz u r playing with karma. Yes it can be used for healing or knowing ur strength and weakness ur inner qualities which can make u decide ur career path. There is a reason why u r born with certain placements, signs because God want to nuture ur soul by making you go through that karma, no upaye will help in this case, only ur spiritual transformation is needed towards the perticular house or bhave or sign of concern. Like u r a student, God will give u some test, u need to go through some sufferings and failure, in order to become the person u r destined to be eg -if u r an egoic person proud of ur knowledge, then God will do something in order to cut down ur ego, if u r a cheater in relationships than God will do something in order to make you realise the value of true people in ur life. Yes these karma can be from past life too which u pay in this life. One should go through these phases and transform oneself to be ones better version. Astrology wont cut ur karma if u dont transform spiritually. Yes it can make u aware of ur karma. No one can cheat God and escape from God. No karm kand will do it. U need to go through this journey which is destined by God.

Shiksha,Vyakarna ,Chandas,Nirukta ,Kalpa nd Jyotishya are the Shadangas.
These 6 limbs are used to understand the Samhita as well as Brahmanas.
6 darshanas are
Sankhya ,Mimamsa ,Uttara Mimamsa,Yoga,Nyaya,Vaisheshika.
All the above 6 schools hold vedas as the ultimate reality. But their approach nd interpretations vary.
Jyotishya which is a shadanga of Vedas is Astronomy nt astrology .
That is the Mathematical aspect of Astrology not the predictive part.
Astronomy was the fundamental basis of Karma Kaanda.Right from construction of the kunda to the muhurtas were determined by astronomical positioning.
So Jyotishya is called as the Chakshus I.e the Vision of the Vedas.
Ayurveda is an UpaVeda not an Anga

You cannot overcome your chart at all. Your chart has energies specific to you and you alone. You have free will to choose what path you want to take based on those energies, which have different meanings. You cannot escape what those energies indicate, however.
but we can always change the energies, and if it was not so than why has god given us the power of thinking, taking actions, meditation and all other things, he could have simply made us just like animals.

It’s funny, I don’t care for my Vedic chart, like, at ALL. 😂 Not that I doubt the system, because I respect it for what it is. It’s very ancient and full of interesting points, the nakshatras, various alignments creating different yogas, the lunar mansions, etc., I love all of that. There are many aspects of it that I think are so cool, I’m surprised western doesn’t use them. But anyway. I’m just very perplexed by my placements in my Vedic chart versus my western. And to be honest, it’s so incorrect, it’s FUNNY.
Because the Vedic and sidereal system is naturally 20-25 degrees behind western tropical astrology, that can cause one’s chart to either be roughly the same (albeit in earlier degrees, so a different expression of the sign/planet), or if you’re like me, you have earlier degrees in western, thus those points in the Vedic chart go back into the previous sign. In my western chart, none of my planets, except for two, are over 9°. They’re all one-digit degrees, basically. Except my Mars, which is 25° Scorpio, and Jupiter at 23° Aquarius. If I do a Vedic chart, these planets do stay in the same signs, but lower degrees, like between 0° and 5°, approximately. However, all of my placements thar are single-digit will naturally be middle or upper degrees of the PREVIOUS sign, it doesn’t make sense. I’m an Aquarius sun, Mercury, Venus, in western, yet thst all becomes Capricorn in Vedic. And higher degrees, which means more established and mature energy. How am I a youthful, possibly delusional or immature Aquarian in western astrology, but a more seasoned, mature, professional Capricorn in Vedic astrology?! I don’t identify with that, unfortunately. Everything about me is VERY Aquarian. My interests, how I am, my entire life is very Aquarius. And my ascendant, in western, is 4° Scorpio, with Ketu also 4° Scorpio. I know the outer planets aren’t used in Vedic, but I also have Pluto there, at 7° Scorpio. 😬 haha. But then, these become 18°-20° of Libra in Vedic? Makes no sense. I identify very much with my Scorpio placements.
My Moon is 9° of Leo. But then in Vedic, it’s something like 22° Cancer? What? Just makes no sense. Everything about my moon in Leo in the tenth house makes perfect sense. Conjunct the midheaven, too. It does not add up in Vedic, for me…
