    I’m going into the infantry. My current 2km run time is 13:24 mins… I’m obese right now so I’m losing the weight as I need to and this will help run faster times.
    Day1: 5km run paced for 4.5km, last 0.5km is best effort
    Day2: 2km run best effort
    Day3: mile 1- 13 min mile, mile 2- 12:30 min per mile, mile 3- 12 min per mile, mile 4- 11:30 min per mile, mile 5- 11 min per mile.
    Day4: day off.
    Repeat this on day 5
    This will be my running routine for the next 2 months. I have my army brief on the 28th (8 days time) so I’ll let keep you posted with how much weight I lose and how much I improve.
    Current weight: 236.2lbs (lost 14lbs so far)
    Current 2km run time: 13:24

    The only question I have is on the English and maths test at the assessment centre. What sort of questions do you get asked? 🙂

    • @KyleSmithFIT

      You won’t do an English test, only a math one. It’s just GCSE questions.

      @@KyleSmithFIT I think there’s a maths test for the technical trades, a maths and English test along side that and the cognitive test. But not everyone will have to do all of them test. You would only have to do all 3 if you haven’t got a grade A-C in maths and English and if your going for a technical role 🙂

    • @KyleSmithFIT
      @KyleSmithFIT  2 года назад +1

      Yeah they do, they are just asking to see where you are. If you say you are getting a score of level 3 on the bleep or 18 minutes on the 2km run they probably won’t send you.

    • @KyleSmithFIT
      @KyleSmithFIT  2 года назад +1

      @@willsmith3202 yeah I used to be the same, just gotta learn to take it slow. If you have a watch where you can track heart rate that is an easy way to measure it. If not just run at a pace where you can hold a conversation whilst running.

    • @KyleSmithFIT
      @KyleSmithFIT  2 года назад +1

      @@willsmith3202 High intensity interval training (HIIT) is good. A mixer of strength and conditioning. Just RUclips it and give them a go, they can be tough but if you do them 1-2 times a week and 1-2 runs a week you will make some good progress.
