There are certain voices that fit auto tune better than others and Chris Browns does fit pretty well I'll give u that. Those higher voices like his benefit greatly from auto tune. It doesn't work as well on the lower voices. For example KC and Jojo. It works really well with Jojo but not so much on KC's style of voice. I'm not addressing whether they need it or not I'm just using them as an example.
All though he singing with low temple he had vocal range lessons and if you listen to him now his range is way farther than it was back then, Chris has a natural voice, unlike some of his contemporaries like a Omarion and others

Bro I’m the biggest CB fan fr and now he’s using auto tune… In Chris brown earlier days he barely would use it but now it’s in almost all of his songs.. Chris brown can still sing naturally don’t get me wrong, but when Usher did that tiny desk and ran through them runs like it was nothing plus he’s 45 I’m like woah.. Look up a CB live show now, like 11:11 tour he’s all auto tuned up.. Like I said, brother can still sing but Ushers voice hasn’t aged and can hit every note he did at 14… I can’t say the same for CB yet until he does a tiny desk or something just raw.. I haven’t heard CBs raw voice in awhile besides him singing with Tank on R&B money podcast… All these CB videos your looking at are 10years old ..

Part of the reason why Breezy uses autotune is because of how much he moves on stage. People don’t realize how hard it is to sing and dance, especially at that level. It’s equivalent to working out. Yall should try to sing while you’re on a treadmill. Breezy is the closest thing to MJ we’ve seen.
the old breezy did not use so much autotune and trust me he did more dancing. Chris brown is not able to sing like in the studio cause most of his sound is insanely engineered with all sort of plugins. As I was taught when I was younger. Sometimes these enhancers are use to help emphasize on a particular sound and project further in the room you are performing in and to reach as much of the audience as you can. We forget that artists are human they get sick their vocal cords gets stressed.

Part of the reason why Breezy uses autotune is because of how much he moves on stage. People don’t realize how hard it is to sing and dance, especially at that level. It’s equivalent to working out. Yall should try to sing while you’re on a treadmill. Breezy is the closest thing to MJ we’ve seen.
the old breezy did not use so much autotune and trust me he did more dancing. Chris brown is not able to sing like in the studio cause most of his sound is insanely engineered with all sort of plugins.
