Revenue is the value of all sales of goods and services recognized by the company in a period.
The revenue received from the business after paying expenses or appliciable taxes is business income. In case of individuals employed, salary or wages is also considered as primary source of income.

My company's revenue for last year was $50M dollars. But it's income was only $5M. We need to work with our cash flow so that we can increase our profit margin.
Great job using 'profit margin'...like a boss! 😎

Hi teacher, would you please explain " restrict, restrain...,restriction, restraint , limit, barrier"? those meaning seem very similar. thanks
Examples :
In Mexico a lot of people tend to do beyond their regular jobs to increase their income such as drive for uber , garage sale or Start a small business ( street stall ) .
I googled and I found out that Walmart is the largest company by revenue .
The leading company in the world by income is Saudi Aramco , 110.97 billion U.S dollars .
Money matters but love matters even more specially the one you love the most ( Canadian Teacher ) .
Oh cool! I'm reading Sam Walton (founder of Wal-Mart's) book right now.
My college teacher use the word INCOME if expenses is not excluded. NET PROFIT is when expenses already removed. That's what kur Philippine Teacher explained

Jennifer, You just blew my mind with the mathematic you just did.
Companies in my country, generates the same revenue as the company's in Canada, but people income are years far away from what you people makes, because minimum average here is $100 monthly income.
Is like making a bicycle monthly income, and used bicycle like you mentioned earlier in one of your examples,if you work hard you can make a tree cycle 😏
Haha, I'm showing off my math skills ;)
Hello Jennifer, so, I'm Noveysha like always. I've enjoyed the videos.

Similar terms which can be used in different specific scenarios
Amazing job!
At the moment many companies made a loss, because they didn’t have enough monthly revenue. Due to COVID-19 their incomes descreased a lot.
In Income Tax perspective. It’s depends other factors, i.e. what to include or not
Thanks for watching! 😁
So income is the same as net profit that is the same as bottom line?? Interesting.
I also liked your equation!!
Thanks!
Hi i have a question i do know its a different subject of what your teaching but could you pls tell me with is correct 👇
9:45 (a quarter to 10 )
Which is corret from this two
Fifteen to ten or forty five minutes past nine pls someone
That’s a great question! I’ll add it to the list for a future video. 👩🏫
It's kinda amusing to me.
I've never heard the word "revenue" in my almost two years of experience in English.
It's a business term, that's probably why. If you don't own a business, it's not something you have ;)
In French we use the word "revenue" à lot!
It's a very common word in business
Hi how are you doing ? My name is Khaled, i have a question: what is the difference between source and resource. Thank you very much
That’s a great question! I’ll add it to the list for a future video. 👩🏫
Revenue from income tax rose last year
It's often difficult for a family to live on one income.
Hi, is there a difference between revenue and turnover?
No, you can use them interchangeably ;) Revenue is more common in North America though.
Hello dear teacher.
This year I had a small revenue because my company didn't work well.
What is the source of your income?
Awesome examples! 👏
Please what is the difference between the following:A business,A company and A firm?
This year our company's revenue bound to be reduced because due to Covid 19. The sales are cross the board round %20 down. I am sure that it will affect my yearly income.
Hi Jennifer! Is your pension your income?
It is! It's a source of your income. For most seniors, it's their main income. But it's only income when you collect it (not while it's just accumulating in a fund). While it's in a fund, you can count it as part of your net worth, but not your income.
@@JForrestEnglishthank you for answering my question!
Company that I worke it,if it earn more revenue due sales cars threrefore my income increase.
Income is not defined by the Internal Revenue Code. Gross income is. Taxable Income is but not "income" itself. The Supreme Court did define it however for purposes of the 16th Amendment and they defined it as a "Profit or Gain derived from capital, from labor or both combined". The key terms there are "profits and gains".
The revenue of many companies went down recently
I need to increase my income😀
You can do it1
The revenue of my company which I work has decreased by ten precent this year decuase covid 19 . so the company's income significantly effected .
What is the difference between university and college?
The problem dear teacher is most of people don't say how really are their incomes. Here, there and everywhere, as The Beatles' song.
My income decrease sixty percent because of the new circumstances , Your company becomes famous and it’s revenue doubles but luckily , the expenses still low
If income is equal to revenue - expenses, is it the same as profit?
Yes, net profit. I said that in the lesson ;)
🗽
Thanks for watching! 😁
My income comes from my job and I have additional revenue from a private job.
Awesome example! 👏
Is income the money you get from an individual effort ?
You can think of it like that.
