By the term alone you already restricted the scope of performance of these vessels.. so keep it and slowly upgrade it.. its not a waste of money its just its nature! upgrading it is better than retiring it ! for the Philippines we need these type of vessels for off shore performance not necessary going very far.. thats the work of heavy punching frigates, destroyers and corvettes configured for that! if you dont, then offer that to the PN!

Can be effective Ships these Corvettes. Eliminate the "Guns", Guns are Dinosaurs. Advanced Rocket Systems, Drones & Lasers WHAT US NAVY REALLY NEEDS IS 100 to 200 Hyper Fast, Hyper Maneuverable, Ultra-Modern Versions of THE WWII PT BOATS, even deployable from Larger ships in Quantity. e.g they could Give Houthis a Bad Time in Red Sea & Persian Gulf, and China in So China Sea.
