1034 Damage Gyro TOD Combo | All Star Battle R

- This was a route I was trying to hit in my casual set upload the other day, but since this is the most inconsistent routing known to mankind I never got to. Full disclosure, I only half came up with this routing, just like the WoU upload because I guess I’m a FRAUD (not really but it’s kinda OD a bit and I can’t really see a way to do more than this, solo at least).
Super_Unk3800 has been posting some kinda crazy Gyro routes on Twitter, like this one: x.com/super_un... so I took the general base routing of this 5-3-3 FC with the 214H FC garbage halfway through and adapted it into my own routing with this notch framekill meaty 6f option from 2M, WS Assist, 6[6] 6f option. The reason this routing sucks ASS is because doing 236[S] FC is so inconsistent, and doing dl.236S FC is not much more consistent. They both suck! Not to mention in order for the first hit of the second 214H to hit you need to eyeball dl.2M based on how high the opponent juggles from the return of the steel ball from your first 236S, and it’s completely random. I labbed a more consistent version to make timing all the above stuff easier, but it only did 950 instead, which isn’t a big funny number so that’s why I insisted on uploading this one instead. Anyways, all of that is also not even mentioning the whole quadrant bullshit with how steel balls roll on the ground dependent on stage position, so sometimes when going for 2M into Quick Mount your balls “randomly” (it’s technically not) will hit your opponent on the way up and ruin the whole combo. Another thing that randomly can grief your combos is when doing 236L-X sometimes the second ball will throw later than it should for seemingly no reason so you need to make adjustments on the fly to account for that too. These are only some of the reasons as to why I think Gyro sucks, and after playing him a bit more online since that video I posted, yea, this character is kinda just bad unless you have machine like capabilities and can make fixes to your route instantly whenever you notice a discrepancy during it, but since that’s literally impossible online, this is an offline only character in my eyes. Just way too much execution required for little reward compared to other characters, but at least he doesn’t need an assist to combo with… right? Again, I already went over this in my other video description how I feel about this character, but I do still think he has the potential to be goated, but it’s gotta be by somebody who puts 200000 hours into it (NOT ME). Oh Bonbei where art thou…
And no, this combo doesn’t do more damage to Valentine.

I would love to recommend Young Joseph as an offensive assist for 236X and 214L (use during 2nd coin or he'll combo break), he's almost the same as 3taro but is never used in combos as often, but I thought you could give it a try when you get the chance.
Polnareff assist is simply better for a variety of routing, i actually just finished writing a doc for Kira routes:

Hey I got your "Post-Time Stop" in my combo from your ToD combo without assist, but it didn',t deal 601, i got 522 instead, it's cuz' I do something wrong, I swear all inputs connect I didn't miss or add someone by mistake, some update change the scaling? There's some way to show you what I'm talking about?
