If these companies and researchers that are looking for a cure for spinal cord injuries would share their information with everyone else, we would probably be closer to a cure. But as you have experienced, everything is kept secret because of the potential profit. Until we live in a country that doesn't sell Healthcare but views it as a Right of a Citizen, this will continue as the status quo and we'll keep riding our iron ponies.
