- President Biden presented the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, soccer star Megan Rapinoe, former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and others on Thursday. The late Sen. John McCain and Apple co-founder Steve Jobs also received the award posthumously. Actor Denzel Washington, one of the recipients, couldn't be there Thursday, but Mr. Biden said he will give Washington the award at a later date.

He passed legislation like the Hero act which gave Covid relief to medical practitioners, teachers, small businesses, renters, schools; he gave two stimulus checks for Covid relief, he cut child poverty in half passed infrastructure in his first year instead of talking about it for 4 years; appointed 41 federal judges, the most ever in a president's first year; created 8.3 million new jobs to date, reducing unemployment to 3.6%; waived the section 242 tariffs on Europe reducing tensions with allies; reduced the deficit by $350 billion; He signed the AUKUS submarine deal with Australia and the UK against China in the past three weeks alone gas prices have been slowly declining - all this after picking up the pieces from a pandemic. There are things he couldn't do because Republicans in Congress refused to vote like reduce the cost of insulin, increase medical benefits and increase the production of baby formula.
