I've had multiple simplex T-Bar pull stations but apart for the locks that always jams, it is very easy to pull the handle down partway and activate the system without requiring a key-reset - especially on the addressable stations.
You don't even need the right key for most of these disc tumbler cabinet locks, literally just any of the same blank. The storm door key from my old house is able to open any CAT code lock, Simplex, Edwards, Silent Knight, etc. by simply raking once or twice with a little pressure.
@@theblueexitsign8249 I know, I was just saying that in a real setup it would make it harder and more obvious that it was being messed with, sort of like dummy-locking things, if someone was going try to get a a garage and they saw a lock on it, they'd be more likely to go somewhere else that doesn't have a lock
I think you might be able to fix the lock on Simplex pulls with some wd40 or some other kind of lubricant, simplex has pretty crappy locks so it may not be a permanent fix.
I could rake them I could pin by pin pick or sometimes they are crappy enough I don't need anything but a flathead to turn it. Yeah. That's how bad some are.
I dare you to pull your properties fire alarm with a pull station then reset the pull station by picking the lock. (I don't mean picking it so hard you accidentally break the lock.)
wow- my school has the keys to the pull station and anunciator in them at the front and the keys to the panel room are on top of the door jam on the which is stupid imo
In my schools we just leave the key in the panel not the annunciator or pull stations obviously but just the panel as it’s already in a locked room do you mean they left the keys to the room on the door jam?
Ok so i loose my keys all the time, where did you get these tools? Amazon? Great video and I honestly never would have thought they where this easy to open, I knew they where not super secure but this seems to easy!
fire alarm locks arent ususally meant for actual security. they are just meant for the "average prankster joe" to not be able to reset it and run away.
since the community post wants you to do a 320c if you were to do it would you make all the pulls nbg12lx or keep as bg12lx and swap detectors or keep as firelite

This is true definitely not stopping anyone watching in they'll practically open if you look at them right
Did he repeat him self at 6:50 cause it sounded like he repeated himself twice as well.
Yes I made a mistake editing
@@nics-systems-electric Oh okay, I was just wondering if I was going crazy.
I love your videos
Thanks
The old Edwards locks are kinda good???
It put up more of a fight for sure I’m also not very good at lock picking so hard to say
Good point but it’s not like at one point The High schoolers can I pick a lock and then just turn off the fire alarm system
Lol, I'd have tried to rake them, too! Looks like there are almost zero spool or serrated pins since you can!
Their only wafer locks no pins at all
you’re not the lock picking lawyer!
and that’s not the covert companion!
but you sure did make a good run of it
I'm pretty sure it's just there to act as a latch and to make it seem like if you pull it there is no going back

Fire 🔥
There you have a BG-12LX which can be opened with a BG-12LX
Also I just got my MS9600UDLS to open using a Notifier key...
tried doing this when i was like 7 and i got the paper clip stuck in the lock. (it was on a t bar). was a pain in the ass to replace.
I have a lock pick set and wafer locks are simple they are just so easy and that's such a dumb thing. I kinda frown upon them
Yeah they are crap

Im suprised i haven’t heard of anything messing with fire alarms by picking locks
Someone probably wouldn’t pick locks if they really wanted to mess with fire alarms and had a pre-planed they’d probably just get keys
Your Channel Icon Is The Notifier Icon!
You said you don’t have many Simplex pull stations but it seems like your more of a BG-12 guy! And to honest I like the BG-12’s!
Ya I will never pay for a simplex product if it’s free I’ll take it maybe

I mean I hate simplex as well tbh

You can also get them from covert instruments

I’m surprised Alex pisocky is not in these comments

Pretty much you would still think that the panels would be a little more secure though oh well
Usually the FACP is in a secured place, but I can see that for, like, an NFS2 in a foyer with limited visibility you'd want some peace of mind.
Wow
Locks are meant to keep honest people out
This is true
Not that good screwdriver

Well. Your outta ideas
Psst. Can i steal your idea bc I got nothing to do lol
Jk
you could if you want I don’t care
