Got the German tram car kit which is the same without the figures and accessories. I can't understand what MiniArt thought they were doing with these poles. I never saw any of them standing anywhere else than on the pavement! Are the cars supposed to go slalom around them? Well, anyway, I won't use the base either - except for the tracks. I don't like the ejector marks or whatever they are. Take care, be good and deliver the dio in one piece! :) Jens
No Jens I'm pleased that you pointed it out as I wouldn't want to upset anybody I do have quite a few bits left over from the kit i.e. the accessories as I made a lot of it myself if you want put them in envelope and post them to you just give me a week or so and I get that done for your I know I won't use them but I know a man of your talents will Sim
Oh, that's good. I didn't want to sound or look like a German teacher and I'm glad you didn't take it that way. :) I actually wouldn't mind to have a couple of spare parts for the tram. Many of the sprue gates scare me sh*tless and are the reason why I haven't started the build yet. I expect the necessity of building many parts from scratch. I don't mind doing this, but If I can use original parts it would even be better. I like the details in this kit very much. When I think of the kits we had when we started 40 years ago that's a tremendous change of engineering. So, thanks a lot for your offer, Sim. Do you still have my address? If not I'll PM you. Great build, I just bought this kit ,how much did you go with the recommended colours, mainly what colours did you use for the chassis and roof.

what size is the base? Also how did you calculate width of road?
Off hand I can't remember but if you go back on the build videos of the tram base I did do all the working out for the actual tram many thanks Sim
