I wanted to invite you to my first video. It is my Christmas store. MyMinimadness is my channel. I have so much more to put on but waiting for filming equipment. Merry Christmas! Susan
Very good and complete instructions. I appreciate the time it took for them to be so thorough, I am confident that I will be able to make this trunk. The faux leather looks great. 😊😊😊
I love the look of this so much! Thanks for explaining the scrunching part, I tried this once before but clearly I hadn't scrunched up the paper nearly enough because it just didn't turn out the same. I'll be able to give it another try now, fingers crossed it comes out even half as good as yours Diane
Yes, the key is to a scrunch up the Paper as much as you can so it has very fine wrinkles and is so thin that it folds over corners and edges easily. I’m glad you are going to try it. Share your project if you want to. 😊
I love making these! I've made a wardrobe steamer trunk a little while ago! It has 5 drawers, the top one has dividers and the bottom has a secret compartment in the bottom, a mirror on the lid side and a decorative arm that swings out to hold hangers or scarves or anything you want. Have you tried spritzing the paper just a tad and crumbling it up and leaving it balled up until it dried.it doesn't take very long to dry because the amount of water is so minimal. It's I was wondering when you were making this one if there was a specific reason that the paper wasn't glued on first and then the hinges replaced? That may prevent the screws from protruding into the box. The first trunk I made I did just exactly what you said not to do🤦♀️! I wanted a metallic looking trim around the top and bottom edges and guess what DIDN'T happen... Yep! You guessed it! My lid wouldn't close 🥺 oh I fussed at myself for 10 minutes! LOL 😂 and spent the next 15 minutes trying to decide how to fix it without messing up too much. I LOVE the color of paper and the gradation!! I like the technique for the paper trim around the edges, that's a technique I could have used then too. And the metal rounds!?! Brilliant!! I wanted to do something like that too, but I made it too difficult for myself by way overthinking it 🤷♀️ I think I like tormenting myself😥. Thank you for all the good tips! They're going into my tool box.
I don’t think you can make too many trunks. They are useful for almost any scene. I will eventually challenge myself to make a steamer trunk with all the working individual compartments. I love those. I never thought of wetting the craft paper first. It makes sense. I experienced covering the part where the two halves together and it didn’t close. That’s how I figured it out. I’m so glad you came by to watch. I always hope I’vein lured at least something you can learn. 😊
Absolutely on the jump rings. I was challenging myself to do it all on paper. My buckles are a bit clunky though. They should be cut a bit finer. I’m glad you found it helpful. 😊
excellent
Amazing 😍
Thanks 🤗
Very nice, love the paper leather! Looks great!
I'm glad you like it! Hope you will try the technique.

Wow that was a lot of work you are a wizz with the scissors.
Thank you. I’ve had a lot of practice. 😊

Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watchin.
Thank you for this informative tutorial. My trunk is fabulous. The hardest part was building the box as I couldn't find one the right size.
Glad it was helpful! I love whenever someone is able to use the tutorial to make their own minis. ❤

@@thecreativebohemian4927 I've always learned something I can use from every one of your videos. ❤️
Great and super helpful video. Thank you. Closed jump rings would be a good addition for buckles and for latches?
