- I was asked what do you do when things get quiet as a production company? All businesses go through busy times but then sometimes quiet periods too. But this downtime allows you to innovate. Find out what VIVIDA has recently been up to during a bit of a quieter month.

Thank you Sir, very very timely advice for me now that I am starting up in a new country
4CamRes MultiMedia good luck!
I just got in this situation last April, i spent my time doing art, learning new thing, updating my ste and doing some pitching.
Great video as always Simeon. If I may add, on my end we also use downtime as a moment to work on passion projects, start planning bigger projects and work on administrative stuff.
Frez N oh that’s a great point! I’ll use that in another blog post!
loooove ur videos, very helpful!!! thanks much, Joanna. My question is about what type, not expensive, stabilizors would be best for shooting video on DLSR or videocam. i bought once bit expensive equipment and never used it because its too heavy and hard to handle.
Yoyo Vid oh believe I know what you mean! The humble Manfrotto Monopod is our GO TO stabilisation device!
I have this one, it is amazing for shots that are done in one place. I wondered about what equipment is best for shots u do while walking etc. I bought glide cam 2 years ago but could never use it, heavy and hard to balance... what kind of glide cam or similar equipments etc, that is inexpensive and you can move and do shots...
Hello. I've just started my production company as a one man and now I've branched out and got a freelancer employee. I have my first paid job coming soon and then quite a fair bit in the following months. What I struggle with is the legalities of employing someone, do I need to get them to sign a contract, etc. Also, tips on invoicing and quoting clients would be great! My first job I did half ($500, filming, editing and basic color correction) of what I would normally charge anyone, considering it was my first paid gig. To conclude I guess I would just like advice on the financial side of things, evenly distributing money, whether I should get more, etc.
Thanks!
Cameron,

Dapper Viking Productions hi Cameron, let’s see what we can do. I hope things went well
Things went well. I am currently involving myself a lot into contract law and art law. Still learning though and starting drafts for my first contract.

Vid-Ego Mandy Dhillon it's half and half! But I told them to be quiet for 2 mins! And they were listening lol

Is this a blue /green screen? Or are those your employees making pretty inefficient use of their down time? lol
Actually I have to say it was cast for a shoot, waiting pretty patiently for their scene to start!
