This is my first ride impression of Honda cb300r. Here are some details of the bike:
286.01cc liquid cooled engine produces 31 ps@9000rpm and 27.5nm@7500rpm
Brakes: Front 296mm single disc and 220mm rear disc with Nissin caliper
Fuel tank capacity: 9.7ltrs
Seat height : 801mm
Ground clearance: 157mm
Kerb weight: 146kgs
This is what I liked:
Acceleration, Gear shifting and clutch operation
Riding posture is good for city and highway
Engine is smooth as butter
Brakes are really effective
Seat is decently comfortable and Seat height is well accommodating for most of the frames
Things I did not like:
Instrument cluster does not have great legibility
Horn and indicator switch placement is different then all the bikes hence require getting used to
High speed stability needs improvement due to less weight if you wish to tour otherwise this is not a concerning thing
I LOVED THE BIKE...NOW MY FAVORITE BIKE in this category
Very few people actually know about this one. People are eyeing for cb350 series, but this bike is extraordinary machine. price thoda thik karke launch karte toh it would have been a hit.

My son had planned to buy a speed 400, but after driving both bikes he fell in love with Honda CB3000R.
Being under 25 years of age he got an additional discount of Rs 12,800.
This bike is a beast to ride in the city, even I am enjoying the ride (60+ of age), just fantastic.

The best ride review of Honda cb300r
Seriously this bike is the most underrated one currently sold in India. If one needs a bike for both local grocery shopping, touring or office commute this should be the one. At 143kg it almost competes with Interceptor and KTM390 in power to weight ratios. If there is a drawback to nitpick it could be small petrol tank of 8L or range of 250km. There is a petrol pump at alkost every 10km in India. So I dont see it a problem. I own one since Feb 24 and no problem at all for me. Remember my previous ride had one of the biggest fuel tank ~ TB500 and i say that this petrol issue cant be a reason to reject this CB300R.
I fully agree Prasad. This is by far the best bike experienced by me and yes very underrated bike. Nothing comes close to it.

Both are great bikes but if cb300r had modes tracksion control cruise control etc then it’s best for price if not speed 400is good but it’s has fuel and meter problems
But cb300r is light weight and fast and good engine
Speed is good on. Highways but not have good suspension etc. but both is good for price

Honda should have offered a Blackout version like in other countries. Not just the matte grey and red version.

Hi Rahul, very difficult question. I will try to answer it on the basis of need. If you need a bike with quick acceleration, easy in traffic and great for daily city commute then cb300r is what I would lean towards. Speed 400 is also be good in city but not as effortless as cb300r. However Speed400 has higher speed advantage, bigger structure to support luggage and ex-showroom price advantage.
I would pick cb300r as it will have low maintenance and service so I can recover what I pay initially. Yes power will be less but it is not slow by any means thanks to its weight which is just 146kgs.

Brother am confused in between cb300r or bmw gs310
I think cb300r makes more sensible buy to me as after sales service and maintenance cost of Honda is unmatched
