I love how this show (compared to ANTM) ACTUALLY immerses these women into the world of modelling, and not just uses "realistic modelling standards" to try and abuse and break them.
Facts! These challenges have all been realistic photo shoots they would do on in modeling world. I love how they actually help the girls and give tips during the shoot. In ANTM they are constantly tearing them down and during photo shoots they give vague instructions. ANTM just humiliates the girls at every turn.

TO be fair, that can happen and it's the models job to check the styling provided and work the best possible to make it work. THe bad got lost in the dress but there were ways she could have made it pop out nonetheless

Elaine is really very good ONLY in photo shoots. She knows how to focus and connect to the camera. Sienna on the other hand is more versatile. She may not be as good in shoots (but not bad too), but she's definitely better in other facets of modeling like catwalk, commercial and all. And I just don't get how Elaine got it over her.

This show really showcases "the face" of the fashion industry: it's brutal, it's cutthroat, it's dynamic. This really comes above ANTM which seems so fake and bases the progression of the show not on model's potential and the fashion's diversity but on Tyra's biased inclination. Very intense especially Naomi who comes across stern and almost bitchy but actually evokes the honesty that a model has to take in when you are a part of the fashion industry.
honestly, that's exactly how I feel. And this show focuses on actual modelling, not the silly shenanigans that goes on ANTM, though I do love the theatric of ANTM very entertaining. I am very sad that this show was not able to continue on because it has the genuinity that ANTM does not have
Reality TV isn't about actual reality and that is why ANTM is still going forward after more than 10 years of filming. I agree this show is better at showing how it really is in the industry and actually teaches the contestants modelling skills but that is why it's cancelled, because people want drama and a show like ANTM. Tyra is an expert in entertaining the American audience and she knows reality TV and how to produce it. The only drama this show had was Naomi's meltdowns, but I guess it needed the contestants to have bitch fits too to keep it going...
but still, Tyra's ANTM pioneered it all. i doubt if the face would even exist if ANTM did not pioneer in showing THE WORLD that reality TV for modelling world sells.
