Wow. That was obviously a family home, with the two beds in that one bedroom, likely for kids. Looks like they started small and built on as they could. Glad there's a stove pipe, at least. I was looking for some indication they had a wood stove at some point. This is going to be so much fun to watch as you fix it up! Nice summer vacation home for the family.

I'm so glad you bought this! The setting is beautiful! I'm shocked there wasn't a bunch of water stains all over the place and no rot other than the exposed wood outside. I hope you keep the iron bedframe, it's really cool!

I love the old vanity in the bedroom- the iron beds look like they could get a fresh coat of paint and I love the 70’s cabinet doors! They could be done in upgraded retro for sure! Lots of goodies in there. The property is gorgeous!

I'd keep that green glass and re install it on the new kitchen or use it on a free standing cabinet to keep a bit of what was there in your new remodel. I hope you put a big front and back veranda (porch) on it with a metal overhang so you can sit out and listen to the rain on the tin roof! It's actually a huge cabin, you're lucky to have stumbled on it!
It's plexiglass, made out of plastic if I recall. I've seen that exact color and pattern before.
Ditto if anyone can rehab it, Dave & Brooke can. I'm extremely shocked that this cabin is actually in decent condition. Great content you guys!!

As someone who takes old things in all sorts of shapes to repurpose and sometimes sells there is a lot of potential with the items inside. Congratulations on your new used home. What a beautiful place.
Yes, the mid-century modern nightstand, the beds (I just bought a wrought iron bed very similar), the 1950s vanity, the 1950s kitchen chairs, and hopefully with the matching table protected by the tablecloth, there's so much potential!

There is properly a lot of good 2x4s in this to save alot of money there. With the cost of lumber these days can't wait to see what you and Dave do with this one. Looking forward to watching this.

Honestly, whoever owned this had some pretty good taste regarding color and decoration. You can kind of see how nice it looked in it's day. I think they did the best with what they had.

I'm with you Brooke. I am 63 and love doing this type of work too. I live in a house I renovated and it is such a self accomplishment and it gives you the feeling that you can do many things on your own, even in your older years. I've watched your video's for awhile now and obviously love them so keep up the good work girl lol. Watch bushradical too. Have a great day.

No resident Bigfoot or hibernating bear is a bonus. Solid foundation, roof and walls with pre-drilled studs for electrical with a some great looking acreage adds up to a solid buy. It will be a home run if the well is good and you locate the septic field, if it exists.

From what I saw on Dave's video you all can salvage it maybe down to the studs. The thought of those green on the cupboards is something else. You all bought a dandy of a piece of property. Good luck with the rehabilitation of this hidden gem,. Stay safe and blessings

Good bones and 2 tons of demo but you will get a few bucks for the 70's kitchen glass! Gotta love the little perks you might find. Might make a nice work shop and wood shed and such. But you and Dave might want to put up a horse shoe over the door ,build it out and stook the fire and call it home, just like you said.
