That’s a great feeling when it fires up after a rebuild, well done ! Took me straight back to my youth and a Kawasaki KH250 that I rebuilt. Thanks for that. 👍🏻
I'd recommed observing the proper running in period as well which can be found in the little blue book, I use 350 miles below 3k revs and multiple heat cycles and then a further 350 miles allowing for max revs of around 5/6k, as this second 350 miles progresses I use short bursts of the higher rev range. Right pain in the ass but makes for a really solid engine.
I grew up with Simson and MZ back in Leipzig....Great bike and we used to ride them through the old open coal mines...epic
Yes this was my actual bike 1984-90. If only it was a time machine 👍

You can't beat it! Cheers 👍
Great to see you getting the two stroke a fresh motor. There is nothing like the smell of two stroke in the morning!
It's all fun, and nostalgic. Very exciting too when it fired up. Cheers! 👍
Excellent news!!! The Wild Donkey Man should become the Wild Donkey Gelding!
Cheers 👍That might be wise! 😲
Great work, it warms my heart to see this. Tell the donkey man to get rectumed.💪👌
If he's there I'll see ya, at The Axe and Cleaver...! 😉🤣
I see all engine mounting bolts were torqued to the German specification "Nice N' Tight" 😁.
Great bike looks fantastic
Ha ha! That's right. 👍😉
Well Brian all the hard work paid off 🎉
🤞❤
Meant to say well done Brian 🎉
Whenever I'm taking an MM125 in or out I always find it's much easier to take the head off, isn't too difficult with it on though mind you.

Good tip 👍
Will do in time. I have the book, love the translation.
