I recognize that "Quicker than the ray of light she's flying" where have I heard it from? I thinnnkk it's from a ringtone on my phone. I don't know. Haha anyone know what it is?
haha lol why is British sketch comedy often so much funnier than American? I mean I'm American but I think this is hilarious. Monty Python too, of course.
It is Darude - Sandstorm, Its not played out, because in music, there are two rules. Play out when you are supposed to and Count. Therefore, since Darude Sandstorm has not made an appearance yet, it should be allowed to play out. And yes, it counts.
@jump4h it's america's lack of desire to be witty over funny. American want to just be funny, Brits want to be witty at the same time. It's a sophistication which Americans so often lack... although, the comedy greats new and old like Will Ferrell and Robin WIlliams tap into this sometimes while giving the American twist which is a complete disregard for diginity. Don't get me wrong, i'm american as well, and freakin' love Robin and Will... but they don't beat Monty Python or Blackadder.
British comedy is not funnier than American comedy, it is just that the sense of humor is different in the two cultures. The British cannot create comedy like Seinfeld or Cheers and Americans cannot create comedy like Yes Minister or Spitting Image.
Nick Mohammed is a talented person indeed.
What a talented young man 🤗 The attention to detail like the wink to the violins 😂 really clever.
2022 and it's still funny to watch
Nick Mohammed is great. I feel this was inspired by the Rowan Atkinson sketch from the Secret Policeman's Ball.
OMG I LOVE it when he points and the orchestra plays that one chord! LOL XD
CAN WE GET THE SHEEP OUTTA HERE PLEASE?! *BANG*
"AHH!"
"oh sorry... awww god.."
An accurate representation of our Thursday and Tuesday night rehearsals 😂😂😂
Prokofiev's symphony no. 5 in the finale :D Yay!!
Amazing 😂
omg the way he teaches just look like my choir conductor
Just love the British sense of humour!!!
It starts off with Beethoven's 7th symphony and the bit you hear at 0:20 is Pachabel's canon.
I love this. This is basically what happens in one of my bands, minus the sheep.
this guy is brilliant!!
I would love to here the song he is trying to rehearse from beginning to end.
Ángela Gheorghiu with the Liberame from Verdi's Requiem at 1:06
1:37 lovely horns! :D
Wonderful, who is this wonderful man??
+jeni evans Nick Mohammed
Excellent job from the conductor - great timing and very clever!
This is great - superb dialogue!
0:03 Beethoven Symphony no 7.
Called it after 2 bars.
(1:37 No.5)
Brilliant
Does anybody know about the violin passage at the very end of the video? Sounds so familiar....Is it prokofiev or am I crazy?
It's last bar of Prokofiev 5th Symphony.
Greetings from East Anglia in Englandland
Excellent !!
Horns, lovely. :)
Brilliant!

I recognize that "Quicker than the ray of light she's flying" where have I heard it from? I thinnnkk it's from a ringtone on my phone. I don't know. Haha anyone know what it is?
This is so funny. And I agree with Rachel.
This is how I feel in front of my Band!
@Mint89674523 Favorite part of the entire thing. That and the "AHHH!" Okay, now Sopranos! *higher pitched scream*
The bit at 0:20 is "Phil Collins - Cant Stop Loving You", isn't it.
thats hilarious!
That was fucking halarious!!!!!!!!!!!
REST REST COUNT REST REST REST *hooorns*
is the last bit from bartok's concerto for orchestra?
It's from Prokofiev's 5th Symphony, not Bartok.
Bwahahaha this is AMAZING :DDD
What's the piece the 'horns' start playing?
You mean at 1:36? It's from Beethoven's fifth symphony, 1st mov.
ahahahaha classic
How brilliant to see such a discussion happen without descending into an argument... perhaps RUclips is improving :D
ahahahahahahaha!!! classic!
Does anyone know the song at 2:07??
What is it?
Oui
Madonna-Ray of Light
its not a song its a piece
@@lizb59Thanks for the clarification 11 years later 🫡
@SuckerForRockers It's the very last bit of Prokofiev 5!
haha lol
why is British sketch comedy often so much funnier than American? I mean I'm American but I think this is hilarious. Monty Python too, of course.
actually they can. there are also female basses, just very rare. Evidence has shown that Vivaldi used an entirely female choir at the written pitch.
Who knows what is the melody from 0:20?
What is the part at 1:46 from?
Ahaha very funny :))
does anybody mind telling me what the song is at 1.32?
its not a song its a piece
@archersinner Ohhh. I gotcha. And yes, at 1:37 it is No. 5. It's the beginning of the second theme. :D
anyone know the song at 1:32??
OMG OUR ORCHESTRA'S ON TV MOM!!!
@archersinner You mean Symphony No. 5?
who’s here from off menu
The first chord makes me think Star Wars.
Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
Tenors : "Liberae Mae Domine......" Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
@shaylen911 Then Phil is using the same chord progression as Pach did with his Canon. :-)
is there a live orchestra?
39 people were the sheep haha
Woah.
Ohh okay. I remember it from yahoo messenger! That really was bugging me lol.
What is the song at 1:48?
If you say "Darude - Sandstorm", don't you think that's a little played out yet?
It's from Close Encounters of the Third Kind, on the soundtrack it's the track "Wild Signals"
It is Darude - Sandstorm, Its not played out, because in music, there are two rules. Play out when you are supposed to and Count. Therefore, since Darude Sandstorm has not made an appearance yet, it should be allowed to play out. And yes, it counts.
its not a song its a piece
Where is the sountrack for everything but his talking and the audience laughing? Because I want it soo bad.
Truth.
wondering the same thing!
Is that Nate the great?
This has all the right elements but sorry can't help thinking it's not a patch on Igudesman and Joo.
a ha..this ia good
it'S
Madonna - Ray Of Light
hi its now 2020
wow...
FUNNY !!!!!! =)) =)) =))
lolz
Who is this conductor? I just NEEEEEED to know..
Hes an amateur violinist so the sketch is from musical experience
Are you kidding me? I'm an alto and can sing most Tenor range easily.
Hypnoticsloth
That would be the score of the movie "Close encounters of the third kind"
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Close_Encounters_of_the_Third_Kind
Great sketch! Check out Odd Sqodd sketch comedy for even more craziness!
not bad :P
beethoven's 7th!
That's good going, 2 bars in : - )
nope
the tenors were altos...
fair enough
I guess it comes down to a moment-by-moment basis when you want to judge what's funnier, and it all depends on one's personality.
Well that was a waste of time..... You want to see comedy orchestra, do a search and find Danny Kaye conducting the NY Philharmonic.
An advert on the BBC .. Blasphemy!
I don't get it. Didn't someone say it was a parody?
7th actually ... -_-
@jump4h it's america's lack of desire to be witty over funny. American want to just be funny, Brits want to be witty at the same time. He got Alto and Tenor wrong...
no female singer can sing Tenor range :p
100 years ago Ruby Helder was known as the "girl tenor"!
Things a conductor or band director will never say...

drav1dan Seinfeld is NOT funny.
malísimooooooooooooo!!! guacala
Cleverly done and perfect timing, yes - just not funny, unfortunately.
Sense of humor required - like the 1700 up-voters have but you and 83 other losers have not.
