Theo is precious! What a handsome and happy little boy. He’s doing great with his tummy time! Wish I had this video 8 years ago when I had my first. So many cool items! Happy to see the Bjorn, Halo sleep sacks and Soothies are helping. They were life savers for us! Enjoy every second with your baby boy!
Thank for all the tips and recommendations! My must haves - for my third child I got an attachable baby bed and it made breastfeeding at night SO much easier! Also recommend to get a basic nursing chair for when the baby moves to his/hers own room. It's a good thing to have comfortable seating next to your baby's bed for feeding, singing lullabies or reading a book.
I highly recommend the spectra caracups! They’re wearable cups and they work great for me, though I did need to add an insert so the flange fits my nipple size
Cutest baby ever. My baby days have come and gone, and I wish I had some of those essentials you talked about . Love the bathing container. cool stuff.
I'm planning on trying to get pregnant soon so this list looks so helpful! I live in Europe so I don't think most of the exact brands or products will be available but the additional information about every item is priceless! As a would-be-mommy the baby products market can be overwhelming but Dr. Eliss' practical insight has given me confidence and knowledge what to look for in an item. Thank you so much! I adore your dermatology videos and I find your approach and personality so calming and wonderful. All the best ❤️ P. S. Little Theo is adorable, bless him!
Dr. Ellis, what do you ask for when you get your hair colored/touched up? The only term I know is ‘face framing highlights’ lol Thank you; your hair always looks great!
Incredibly helpful video and I'm so thankful you've categorized the items. I'm currently in my 2nd trimester, so this was posted just at the right time for me to start making my list. Thank you Dr. Sam!!!!
Love and have used wonder weeks and Taking Cara Babies for both my kiddos! Another BIG piece of advice that helped my nursing journey was seeing an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) most insurances cover multiple visits, and they can assist with positioning during nursing - esp bc it’s new to mom AND baby! But a good one will be able to examine your child’s pallet, tongue and lip for ties that impact their latch and transfer of milk and evaluate a newborn physically (neck/jaw tension from birth that can impact their ability to latch) and are able to refer you to PTs who specialize in helping infants, and pediatricians who address tongue and lip ties. This was the single most beneficial thing I did and recommend everyone look into! Especially bc the lactation consultant at the hospital (for logistical and practical reasons) doesn’t do everything you can get from designated IBCLC visits. 10/10 recommend to all new, and even experienced moms!
Great tips, Dr. Ellis! My baby girl (baby #2), Surriya, is a little over two weeks old and I might have to get that bath and blanket :) I recommend coconut oil as an at home remedy for those early breastfeeding days and I also recommend Graco’s bassinet pack and play.
My daughter is having her first baby soon and I was thinking of getting her a SNOO. What are your thoughts on it? Is it worth the very expensive price tag?
I am getting induced tomorrow to have my first baby and I'm also having a boy. I hope this question isn't too personal but did you get stretch marks, if yes do you plan to do anything about them or can you recommend what can be done?
I can’t recommend enough little ones program for sleeping. Our girl is now 3 y old and expecting another one in January and planing to continue this program. Does anyone knows the difference between that one and the one Dr recommended?
I hear you! My lactation consultant said I could nurse in the baby carrier, some carriers can be adjusted to breastfeeding. I found it a bit uncomfortable though…
I would love to see a baby skincare favorites!!
Can you do a video on how to take care of sutures and how to best prevent scarring, specifically on the face?
Silverettes are AMAZING! Didn’t need creams, lanolin or shields. Just these with a drop of breast milk between feedings and had zero issues.

Baby Theo is absolutely adorable! I don't plan on becoming a mom any time soon but I still enjoyed this video a lot, thanks for sharing Dr. Ellis 💕
Aw thank you so much!
I can't recommend the brest friend pillow enough! I loved it way more than the boppy because it can sit up high which is great when they're small.
Yes I love how sturdy it is!
Theo is adorable! Thanks for sharing pictures of him.
Thank for all the tips and recommendations!

I had a Snoo. We purchased used on Facebook and sold it for almost the same price. It was good but it depends on the baby.
@@jgauz23 Thank you, Jessica. We might try to find a used one.
@@bonnietaylor4301 you’re welcome!
As a nanny I have used it once and it was great for the baby I took care of!!! I would def buy it for my baby one day💓
Hey Sam.. what is the swing used at 18:52 video... I could notice it's changing pad but how it swings...may I know what product
May I ask, im interested in the bouncer. My baby is 3 months now. How long did yours use it ?
LOVE this video !
Do you have any nursing bra recommendations?
I like Motherhood Maternity’s nursing bras :)

Your baby is very cute.
I wish I could be a baby wearing mama with a backpack BUT… nursing on demand makes it sooooo difficult to strap and unstrap ALL DAY!

Diapers. Cloth or disposable?

It's so crazy that American moms have to go back to work so early
Seriously! Wish it was different!
