Thanks a ton. I have recently picked up a traditional bow - hadn’t held one for years but pretty much lived with one as a kid. I found some nice service berry and am gearing up to make a D bow.
I enjoyed this video very much. I like the way you strung it. Learned that. Also, you sure know how to use tools. Love the dying process too. I see I’m late to the party regarding the giveaways. That’s cool of you.
I’m learning a lot from watching your techniques. I particularly like the way you feel for the thicker spots while tillering. I’m going to try that. Thanks and keep these coming.
Great video, thanks for sharing. Always fascinated by the trial and error ancient builders must have endured in ultimately designing a functional and reliable weapon.
Impressive work! And very well filmed👍🏻 my very first bow was an Elm bow, bought at the Viking fair in Struer Denmark. This was a very interesting watch, especially the video on the Holmegård bow. Keep up the fine work.
What an Aewsome bow. Really enjoyed watching how you made it I'm thinking about trying it myself, but haven't had the confidence I'm a flint knapper and make arrows, so why not bows. Thank you so much for sharing your skill.
If you already knap and make arrows, you'll do fine with bowmaking! It's got a steep learning curve, as with all handcrafted archery gear, but it's worth the effort and perseverance.
Correy, I must say that you have made quite a nice ash bow. Thanks for taking the time to film the process and share it on the channel. I also appreciate seeing you wear a mask while sanding. Your shooting form is great as well. Taking the time to inspire others to join the world of selfbows and archery in general is great. Keep up the good work! Jason
I'm liking the modern aspect of you bow making. Sometimes we just wanna get to the end product - and sometimes we wanna explore the whole trad bow making process.
Thank You Cory.. Always fun watching you create... (even more so now with my new computer and 43" monitor, omg!!!!). I feel like I am in your shop & can almost smell the sawdust, ha... Until your next show... TM
Just started making my first longbow today I’m not sure on the tillering process needed to watch a video from start to finish like the way you do it cheers.
So many videos in the queue and only so much time, but I hope in the coming years the channel will grow into a nice little knowledge cache for all things bowmaking and hunting!
Lovely bow build, truely an insane level of hand tool craftsmanship and finish! Thanks for creating these videos and offering up the bows up for random drawings!
I'm loving that Ash long bow. wish I could shoot my old compound as well and fast as you fire arrows out the that 74" . Nice work! I've had some free time this past year, and forged a few knives, making a long bow from Jujube and or sour orange is on the calendar > I have little knowledge of the process. watching with detail !
Awesome build. Just like pretty much every bow you make. Still on my bucket list to make or buy (or win) a classic bow. Not everybody uses all the socials. Personally I only use RUclips and Discord. Never had any need for things like Facebook or Instagram. And glad I left that cesspool previously know as Twitter.
Beautiful bow, awesome craftsmanship , I dropped down in poundage last year, from a 50# draw, to a 40# draw, 2 surgeries to put my right arm back close to normal as they could ,means I had to drop poundage if I still wanted to shoot traditional archery, that's my exercise, just scored a 3d shooter buck to practice on , luv it ,stay safe ,stay well, shakyjake out.
I have been a bow hunter since my early teens will always with compound watching your videos has sparked my interest to take up traditional archery keep up the fantastic work!!! I love this Neolithic bow I would love to win it
Congratulations, Ervin! You won the drawing for this Neolithic longbow in my latest video! Please reach out to me at the email on organicarchery.com so we can coordinate shipping.
I love watching these builds! You’re inspiring me to give this a shot. I have some shagbark hickory that I have been waiting for the right project. Thanks for making such cool and informative videos!
Man I love your work. Many years ago I made a few bows and far often lost the flow of the grain structure of the wood. Thos gentle and graceful rises and falls of the light bouncing off your bows just excite me. Keep up the great videos and I wish you all the best in the adventure and for sharring your passion and skill.

That dye going on is super satisfying somehow. Love how that wood pops.
Piece of art, I love how it looked before the finish.. smooth as glass 🙂 Good job man!
Good idea with your give aways. I really like the ash bow. Maybe it could found a new family here at my house.

Awesome. Glad the videos have been helpful!
I’ve seen several people make bows on RUclips but yours are by far my favourite!
That means a lot! Thank you!
Very nice 👍 you have inspired me to try and make a bow, cheers 🏹

Nice bows and nice to see your progression.
That ash bow is nice.
Outstanding job Correy and keep up the good work and I appreciate your chickens in the background too....
It would be nice at some point if you could do a video on the tools and methods used in bow making through history.
Good idea. I'll add that to the roster!

The walnut bow looks great as well! Anything from you seems really well crafted. Glad I found this channel!
I really like the no talking just captions on what your doing. The ash bow really turned out nice, great work sir!
Wow... Looking forward to winning that great Ash bow.. Fingers crossed.. Scott
Good luck in the drawing!
The “Neolithic Ash long bow”would find a warm welcome in my home. Thank you for your content brother, you do fantastic work!
I'm liking the modern aspect of you bow making. Sometimes we just wanna get to the end product - and sometimes we wanna explore the whole
trad bow making process.
I'm sure there will eventually be plenty of both methods here!
Every bow, fine workmanship and impressive performance, not to mention the marksmanship. It's a pleasure to visit this site.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Seriously one of the most beautiful bows that I've ever seen. The simplicity is fantastic.
Much appreciated!
I just love the look of that neolithic ash bow
Any bow that you make would be awesome. I would be proud to own any of them. Keep up the fantastic work. You are keeping a tradition alive. Thank you.
Thank you, and good luck in the drawings!
First RUclips comment I’ve ever left lol. Your work is amazing Correy and you’re an incredibly talented builder and teacher. Love the Ash Longbow.
Thank you for the encouraging words and for choosing my video as the first! Good luck in the drawing!
Man, that bow looks fantastic, lots of character
Really thinking traditional archery is the next evolution of hunting for me. Something about being tested to that extent is extremely appealing.
There's nothing on earth like that first successful hunt with a hand-crafted bow!
That’s a job well done!!!
Thank You Cory.. Always fun watching you create... (even more so now with my new computer and 43" monitor, omg!!!!). I feel like I am in your shop & can almost smell the sawdust, ha... Until your next show... TM
It's hard for me to imagine what a 43" monitor looks like, haha! Thank you for your support!
@@organicarchery Think of it as the size of a Mongolian Bow? ha... TM
Your craftsmanship is only equaled by your generosity!
Thank you for the support!

So good to see you make a longbow from ash as its a local wood to me. Very inspired, thankyou!
Ash is a great bow wood!
Love the Craftsmanship and very informative.
Amazing build. The simple longbow is my favorite design. The staining gave an awesome look to the wood. Great job
Just started making my first longbow today I’m not sure on the tillering process needed to watch a video from start to finish like the way you do it cheers.
I also agree on the how to video. Tools and tricks of the trade. I would take a brake from bowl turning to try my hand at making a bow.
So many videos in the queue and only so much time, but I hope in the coming years the channel will grow into a nice little knowledge cache for all things bowmaking and hunting!
Once again you do not disappoint! Time well spent watching with my daughter/
Love it!! Thank you for the support!
Ash is one of my favorite woods. Nice build Dude
Lovely bow build, truely an insane level of hand tool craftsmanship and finish! Thanks for creating these videos and offering up the bows up for random drawings!
Just trying to pay it forward for all the support over the years!
Great seeing the process, and how the bow takes form. It's there in the wood - you just have to find it!
The stave tells you what kind of bow is inside it! If you force your will upon the piece, it'll usually break.
Great timing. I've been wanting to try making a long bow. Can't wait to get started. This is a huge help.
Glad it was helpful!
That stain looks so good. Just started out building bows, but something like this bow would be amazing to achieve by myself one day!
You can do it! All in good time!
Great work as expected.your love for bow making shows in the detail.cant wait for the next video
