So gifted, thank you for sharing. I’ve been in a 1983 home for over three years. With the house settling, people and four big dog living, I’m challenged. Im trying to figure out what to save for and what I can do to keep updating it within a budget. While understanding that the different color window tints, shade, and light reflections pose challenges. Lately I’ve been dreaming of a shallow creek feature which we will be able to enjoy through the windows. I’m also starting to get obsessed with changing out the stair railing feature which is prominent for the whole 1700 s/f space
That vaulted ceiling in bedroom was Perfect!!! The garage would have had heating/AC ducts Also added. I wish my garage did, which isn't, but I love my lounge it was made into yrs ago! Nice example and ideas to learn from :)

Open shelves is not user friendly. If you do any cooking at all in the kitchen, which we all do, all those dishes are going to be filthy in about a week or two. That's why cupboards are preferred. I don't want to be washing everything on those shelves every week.

Was that a completely new fireplace and chimney breast? I didn’t quite get that. Viewing houses at the moment, lots of horrible fireplaces, not sure what to do with them ...
I don’t like open shelves because it collects dust. Plus, no way those shelves can keep all the dishes for 5 people without piling them on. I also like traditional classic route. I feel that in 10 years this design will be outdated and need to remodel again, kinda like the pink or green bathroom from the 60s. I see the same trend with the industrial feel home design. That won’t last.
@@harmony3395 apparently they’re homes are not up to code and people can’t sell them and they were trashing the people who work for them (Mexicans) bc someone hacked their FaceTime call

Pioneer Woman is the same way. Very disappointing. They have beautiful things but I won’t buy their products for that reason.
