I’m using a 65gr 2f Goex with maybe 20gr of corn meal packed by a .585 caliber in excess of 500gr of pure lead

I can't keep my Snider on paper! Of all my collection, I am the least effective with it even though I do have Martyn's mold and brass. The bore looks fine; it is puzzling.

With a groove diameter of .582, I painstakingly made plugs for a 575213 deep base mold that I'm trying tomorrow with 65g 2f. If my .560 pritchetts can expand to fill a p53 bore and shoot well, I don't see why a plugged minie won't shoot.

Little House Guy it may be the size of your bullet moulds or if you hand loaded take a look at the way it was hand loaded you probably know more than me I'm from UK this is my hobby 24 gauge hull 52 grains of powder up to 60 grains powder then filler use semolina don't compress it just tap hull n let semilna settle level then use 20 gauge card wad push down gently take your ball or bullet and lube all around side bullet if using ball then put lube around inside of the hull push ball or bullet into the hull till it rests on the card with no air pockets in the round u good to go if you use greese cookies it not good n will def effect your accuracy I not teaching u to suck eggs I hope what I said may help a little stay blessed RUclips world big D from UK happy shooting
