How To Make Psytrance Bass With Uhe Zebralette 3 (FREE Plugin) - Easy Spectral Decay Feature
love the cat - the synth suff was interesting too 😜🙃🙂👍
Oh, is there gonna be puddy?
This bass sounds so clean, it almost feels wrong. :D
the way you use it for bass makes it look like the kick2 of Base
the way the cat came outta nowhere lmao
Wow no need for sidechaining. This synth is different to anything I have seen. Thanks for sharing this great tutorial🎉
goes so hard dash, love when you start cooking half way through a lesson!! (8:40)
the little info texts are a great touch btw, altho i feel like they could use some stronger contrast for better visibility, maybe like a solid square black background or sth
Thanks a lot mate you've made Zebralette 3 a bit more useful.
Excellent tutorial and demonstration. This plug-in is something I've ever seen before. Easy tweaking of all the right parameters for bass.
Love it... big up
WOW nice! I think you created the "Psytrancelette Base" 🚀
psy cat, yay!
This thing is a beast! Can't wait for the full version :)
yea and don't forget the full, full version, the actual Zebra that will come at some point :)
Great info! I am still fumbling around with all the bezier tools. I have to revisit the developer's tutorial on them, its a long one.....
great example of an actually good additive engine. Nice work.
Thank you!
hell yeah cat!!!!!!
amazing video
Thanks!
lol we have similar cat problems xD great video!
Cool

Hey man, you're so deep into the sound design stuff, and in love with Phaseplant and the likes... So am I. But... I recently wanted something more and dove into the Melda stuff, specifically the MSoundFactory (though I took the whole bundle because there's loads of neat things in it)... and, after an initial head scratching and learning curve with their synth and its very user unfriendly GUI, it is, just, insane and then some, for anything psytrance. Not cheap, but man. I'm sure you'd love their way of setting up a random start position on an LFO to make your glitchy stuff. It's wild.
You should try that out if you haven't already... just tell your GF you see her next month before you do that.
Cute cat too :)
Its great and super deep, but I can't get into that gui/workflow
@@DashGlitch Yes, its painful. No doubt... every time when you don't know how to do something and eventually figure out out (because documentation is nill) you will be like: who the fuck thought this should work this way.
But the sound...
Harmor has spectral decay too, really cool with resynthesis
Harmor is good, I just struggle with FL Studio…
@@notsure1135 I grew up on it so for me it's every other one that throws me off, you may be able to use Harmor through rewire though!
Great demonstration.
How is the comment a day old when the video was uploaded an hour ago?!
Patreon early access privileges ;)
@@DashGlitch AH! that makes sense :)
nice! have you tried to "eq" the bass (like turning down the 4th harmonic) right in the wave editor in zebralette 3 too for a cleaner sound? i played around with it a little bit for that purpose, but haven't had any success yet (no time to really learn the ins and outs of the editor yet and it has a pretty steep learning curve)
Try spectral mode then the curve becomes a map of the partials
WHEN OH WHEN WILL YOU GET INTO ZEBRA???? Big Love, Marty
Yo! Waiting for Z3 :D
@@DashGlitch its gonna be a panty dropper. Urs always brings the 🔥
Removing fundamental is handy! As far as the top end though, how does this differ from using eg. an LFO shape in Serum to create a flexible filter envelope curve?
it sounds a slight different to traditional filters because there's no phase interaction, just a different way to get a similar result.
As far as I understand, the signal don't have to go through a standard filter algorithm. It's more like Zebra calculates the waveform as if a filter is applied. You simply don't generate a sound with all its overtones and filter it subtractively afterwards. So the phaserotation of a standard filter won't occour. Like the synthesis in this other KickDrum plugin from audija.
@antiPattern123 you got it!
The guides were confusing me how to access each one of these 3 guides individually. Based on this video , the 3 guides are as if arranged on horizontal line of the morph line. Guide 1 on left , guide 2 in the middle , guide 3 on the right . Is that correct ?
Correct!
at @2:37 I can't seem to get the rotate to work idk if i missed something
try not selecting the nodes
what plugin is the graph scope ?
haven't seen one like this before
Minimeters
Could you get a decent kick from Zebralette?
Well it makes sine waves, so I presume so. It's also got a pretty good editor for the MSEG, zooming and all that, so you'd be able to get very fine control
Would you say; this is an alternative for: the episode: No KICK/BASS Phase Cancellation Ever Again Because Of This Technique! ruclips.net/video/3undBIqJgLk/видео.html ? please say yes, as that video was a bit hard to follow for me
a very basic version of it yes
Zebralette is interesting, free so yeah no reason not to play around with it.
