Did anyone else overheard one English commentator saying that Chase was not a spin bowler and that he actually read all the words on the ball after it was delivered? For not being a bowler he did not bowl one no ball. Well England could follow the West Indies and select one none bowler too. What do you think? Congrats to Chase. Roach did say someone else might step up in the second inning.

Yesterday West Indies created history, by beating England by 381 runs, England was chasing over 600 runs set by the host, (the win was a record on West Indian soil). Three days ago the stadium in Barbados was filled almost entirely with England cricket fans, confident that their team, which was the most successful in test cricket in the year 2018, would beat a seemingly weakened West Indies, (nothing like the 2016 team that busted their asses in the last world cup. England played with quite a few of the players they had when West Indies beat them in the most historic World Cup final of 2016, but West Indies did not play with ANY of their 2016 World Cup Champions, showing just how many great players we continue to produce on a yearly basis. Ben Stokes who was then, and still is now considered one of England's best players got a BIG DUCK in this test match, to almost parallel the 4 sixes he was hit in the final over of the world cup almost 3 years ago. Moeen Ali who got a BIG DUCK in the world cup final matched it again today with another even bigger Duck, having faced only 1 single ball. West Indies own Roston Chase took 8 wickets in the final innings of this match, whilst captain Jason Holder scored an unbeaten 202 runs, before declaring. Jason Holder is now ranked #1 all rounder by the ICC cricket board as a result of his performance.

India just happens to be quite far ahead of everyone else in points overall in test rankings so even though England did well in 2018, India stayed number 1 in tests. By the way, your Indian team has risen to the 1st rank of test cricket by playing most of its test matches on its own home soil in India, so relax. Everyone knows the ICC rankings are somewhat fake and inflated to make some teams appear better than they truly are. This is especially true since teams like Pakistan and West Indies don’t get as many opportunities to play against the top quality teams (such as England, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia) in cricket compared to the number of matches India gets to play against quality sides.

You're right there. And he was dropped for the 2nd test. I don't think Jennings has the ability and mental strength to succeed at international level. A decent enough first class player, but out of his depth on the world stage.

Look at the seam position when Roston Chase is bowling, does it have to do anything with the number of wickets he picked up? England can't be this bad in playing spin..
Really doubt about spin playing technique of english batsmen, ball was not turning but still they were playing for turn and loosing wickets. A good win for Windies !!
