The relaxin hormone is not selective and ALL the ligaments of he spinal column become softer as well. After pregnancy all the various ligaments in the body will not return to exactly the same as before pregnancy. This is what causes the majority of post partum back pain. Stop blaming the anesthesia for problems it DID NOT cause!

When done properly, you should not have pain after the catheter is removed. Some women experience soreness for 1-2 days.
I've had three and my back is forever messed up.
